I would say Ugandan English is certainly the best if not one of the best in Africa. Easier to comprehend compared to say, west African accents. However, as anyone for whom English is a 2nd language some of the syntex can throw off a native speaker. When I first got in America, kids teased the crap out of my speech and I had to adapt fast. For as long as we remember though that the way one speaks is no measure of intelligence. After all these are colonial languages. We must remain proud of who we are. And for the most part after 19 the neuroplasticity is permanent to speak like a native. These days I like to say, I speak Luganda, I can communicate in English and Spanish fluently.
Hahaha, she's the sweetest little thing. That's how every girl child should be raised. Be confident, believe in your self, no man is going to come and lie to them. I really like. I wish my daughter turns out like her...host her mum please for parental tips.
I find myself laughing 😃 Farooq ur killing me bro with ur punctuations. Greetings bro nd the beautiful girl, her smile is gorgeous 😍 nd she looks prettier good. Here to learn this interview is very interesting. Lastly l like the girl's luganda ascent

When it comes to ,written , grammar ,Ugandans speak way better English than most Americans ..it’s just difference in accents and dialects but Ugandans speak very good English
Yo right but all comes out depending on the society u have grown up with ,Uganda, we pronounce words as they are, but UK and American s ommit some letters in pronunciation
Farouq do not be carried away. Most American English speakers use slang. Their English is not standard. For example "I ain't going to school" is not even correct. Meanwhile saying bathroom is a way of being polite about it. Like when you say, "manju" in Luganda it doesn't mean, behind.
True a latrine is this one of a hole ,a toilet remains a toilet even the toilet in America is a toilet seat, washroom or bathroom is a humble way to say it.

I am glad you didn't coil and fold to haters. You can still be kind but confident. You have a much better chance to success when you adapt to your new environment. Change is part of life. I recently reconnected with high school friends in Uganda and it was soon jealousy swipes after swipes. I cut them off. Ugandans need to stop the hate. It's best to see the value in networking than all the jealousy side shows.

In Uganda, describing someone as fat is a sign of one doing well esp financially. E.g. so n so has gotten fat. He must be doing well. I once had a cousin of mine innocently describe to me a female as fat when he had just arrived in Canada. I told him right away that it was offensive in North America to publicity describe someone as fat esp when it comes 2 a female. But in Uganda, its normal n nobody would flinch if u referred 2 someone as fat.. Matter of fact, it is used affectionately. A clear clash of cultures!
