Interesting how we have no cap space for Stamkos even though he was willing to come down, but are trying to get even more expensive players. Stamkos is exactly what we need to win a Cup again. Stamkos back at 2C (Paul at 3C) and Guentzel in either of our top 2 lines would be devastating in the playoffs.
Sergachev has gotten better through the years and was a great D-man in 22-23. Proceeds to tear a ligament, then comes back and immediately breaks his leg, now I have to hear people say he "plateaued" at 25 and can't play defense. That's insane. And where are the heavy hitters if we lose Jeannot?
Why everyone touts Hedman amazes me! Many many times I've seen him lollygag up to the net and then gets behind it while Vasilevski was on his own. I feel he has slowed down considerably.
Then, and I know I'll hear about this, there's Kucherov. I'm wondering what everyone thought about his playing in this year's playoffs...............no goals? After everyone fed him the puck time and time again to beat his record during the regular season.
I don't know where we are going, but my gut says if these guys don't dig in, we'll be in the same place as this year.

I'm cautiously optimistic as a Predators fan, but extremely excited. The great thing is we haven't given up any young players or Askarov and have all our 2025 picks (2 1sts, 2 2nds). I really wanted Trotz to pull the plug but the 20 game win streak last year (did not expect) was awesome. I'm glad Trotz got aggressive did not expect to sign all three (especially Stamkos). Trotz did the right thing--after signing Juice and also having Josi and Forsberg in their prime it makes sense to go aggressive like this. I really want to see whom amongst our young guys such as Evangelista, Novak, and Spencer Stasney comes into their own. We are kind of like reverse Vegas---we'll see though---ready for a new NHL season!

Bolts fan here, our General Manager is a total clown. It is a business, but in all honesty, Julian was just being an egotistical Pompous Clown it was so bad. From RUclips/Radio/Twitter/Reddit we're all extremely super pissed and raising hell about it. We've already called Out Julian for being a hypocrite. Extending "Old guy headman" and adding Ryan McD. While also getting rid of a Young sergachev.

Wow I thought for sure Vegas would keep Marchessault bummer. Definitely going to strange seeing Marchessault wearing a Nashville sweater next season. Vegas is down to four original misfits..

I have been a season ticketholder of the Nashville Predators for 24 years now... And that level of dynamic offense has been something that has alluded the franchise for its entire existence. All of us here in Nashville are absolutely ecstatic to have each of them. For the first time, it feels as though we can now roll three lines with confidence. This traditionally offensively anemic team just got a shot in the arm. Let's just keep in mind that Josi, Forsberg, and Saros aren't getting any younger either... Plus this also provides ample experience and learning opportunity for the youngsters within the organization. How I wish GMDP would have taken such a splash when he had Pekka in his prime. Leave it to Barry Trotz, a defensive-minded, from the-net-out coach turned GM, to bring it to us. Go Preds!!!

I think it throws a whole wedge into the running narratives of teams that have reached or are near-reaching Stanley Cup readiness. Now Nashville are right up there and one almost expects them to reach WCF or beyond next season! But as always, who can say for sure how they’ll jive?
You can bet on them jiving.

Well, I don't think they are contenders now because of Stamkos and Marchessault. 4 of 6 top 6 forwards are 34 or older. And they have too much dead cap to add on trade deadline for next two years. After these 2 years, the forward top 6 core will be even older. Big big gamble by Trotz.

The Stamkos ordeal is completely on BriseBois. Dude took a team that won two consecutive cups and chop-shopped off the key pieces to whoever the highest bidders were, while getting garbage in return. Now we're just waiting for him to sell off Hedman and Kucherov for a bologna sandwich and a used iPhone

Gotta say as a Lightning fan, this just doesn't make sense. Stamkos should've been a career long Lightning. He's got two to three good years left.
Just ice cold to let him go like that. Stamkos is a Nadhville Predator now. Doesn't sound right, doesn't feel right.

I love Nashville with my entire heart, but I would be lying to say that I am not wary of Stammer coming to town simply because he had 39/81 points on the power play and now will be tasked with fixing a power play that has gotten multiple assistants fired

No one there will complain about a couple of contact buyouts, if necessary, after winning a cup.
