Such fabulous music! The greatest kudos is all for Mozart, of course, but I would also like to comment on the fabulous performances of the hornists. I have played the horn a bit myself, and these virtuosos' mastery is awe-inspiring.
Each time I listen to the W.A Mozart Horn Concertos, I feel uplifting, moved, and so I reckon that all these pieces are so melodious sounds!!! So grateful for your sharing!❤❤❤
Somebody has hacked in with extraneous audio (declamatory speech, dramatic laughter, etc.) about an hour and some after the beginning, in the Concerto #1. Barbaric!
@@donna30044 Mozart's autograph score contains, arranged in strategic places throughout the sketch of the Rondo, a bizarre written narrative in Italian almost certainly directed at Leutgeb: For you, Mr. Donkey-Come on-quick-get on with it-like a good fellow-be brave-Are you finished yet?-for you-beast-oh what a dissonance-Oh!-Woe is me!!-Well done, poor chap-oh, pain in the balls!-Oh God, how fast!-you make me laugh-help-take a breather-go on, go on-that's a little better-still not finished?-you awful swine!-how charming you are!-dear one!-little donkey!-ha, ha, ha-take a breath!-But do play at least one note, you prick!-Aha! Bravo, bravo, hurrah!-You're going to bore me for the fourth time, and thank God it's the last-Oh finish now, I beg of you!-Confound it-also bravura?-Bravo!-oh, a sheep bleating-you're finished?-Thank heavens!-Enough, enough!
Mozart composed this piece for his close friend (Leutgeb, the hornist). And Mozart himself wrote down in the sheet music, these teasing words which this version re-enacts. You can find the formal version (without playacting) @00:41:40.
It was done on purpose. These are insults in Italian written by Mozart on the score, directed at the horn player. Personally, being Italian, I find them annoying because they are offensive and vulgar.
1:15:20 I know that Mozart filled the score with some hilarious insults in Italian to make fun of his friend Leutgeb, but listening to this guy reading them is annoying. He's not funny at all, he's ridiculous.
