Some corrections: - 10 10 ARBs is not universal and you don't always want that. The tuning in this game is weird so you have to do it on a car by car basis. - Traction Control should be comfort. This is especially true for high power RWD cars. - Drift assist should be comfort if you're playing Direct Mode. It helps a lot with stability for off road. - Since this is a meta guide... why is direct mode not recommended? That is the meta setting. If someone is more comfortable with the sliders that's fine, but that doesn't change the meta. - Engine sounds? Tbh I wouldn't have anyone worry about something like that whether it's true or not. - The Huracan is not ST2 meta. It has a very narrow use case and that's for drag bump/slipstream on highways because of it's top speed. Any situation outside of that, it gets gapped. - The Porsche Taycan is only good if there are hairpins/slow corners and even in those situations it's still superseded by the 993. It's a great car still, but I wouldn't add it as meta. - The Toyota Tacoma is part of the Rally Raid meta. - The Mini Cooper Countryman All4 is part of the Rally Meta. The Ford Fiesta is a bit questionable there. It's kind of riding that line.
Please keep in mind that still most people will NEVER be able to use direct mode such crazy settings I think someone (maybe me) has to do a guide for casuals that really helps people. The tuning in that game really bonkers me, every cars really behaves differently. Some cars nearly don't need suspension tuning, some cars want absolute goofy ass settings. That's the last thing I don't really get a hang of. May you have a tip how you at least test a car?
@@stardawg the porch 993 is THE meta car, I would say good driven the scotto Audi is a good choice too. TBH nothing comes close to a good driven 993. There are many 'good' cars in ST2 but nothing, really nothing can compare to that 993
Some things that i feel i need to point out. Car sound vanities - There isn't any noticeable difference using any specific one over another. Direct Mode - You said it was inconsistent etc which is false. Direct mode is hard, yes, and for the casual player is probably not the best when trying to learn/get better at the game. However, direct mode is consistent and allows for people to be more consistent once you get a hang of it than having the steering filter that is baked into the regular handling. 100 Linerarity - You recommended having direct mode off, which is fine, but said 100 linearity is best which is not the case. 100 linearity is good for direct mode since it dampens the super sensitive 1:1 steering. With direct mode off (also keeping in mind the steering filter) making your linearity 100 is going to make your steering less saturated in return hurting your steering. Before direct mode i used 0 linearity with combination of tap steering allowed me to have the fastest steering possible with the annoying steering filter. Meta - Rally Raid (Toyota Tacoma) is the top dog Also centodieci being placed in front of the agera is kind of weird since the bugatti cant hold anywhere near the same pace.
(@sidwaj) Yes, direct mode is not for the average player, when I switched from high sense to DM my pace immediately improved. DIRECT MODE is by far the best setting (excluding esp,tc,abs etc) to improve pace and no DM is not less consistent/controllable, like simgii said 100 linearity is good for direct mode but not necessary imo for high sense. high sense isn't 1:1 like DM and you still have the steering filter as a crutch I played 100 sensitivity, 80 linearity and the cars were still much easier to use than DM (Rally Reid meta is still toyota tacoma)
Great guide but without wheel mode and sensitivity at 80 and max wheel lock at 75 you get a very crazy good car that does not lose grip but still takes corners better then direct mode. It’s actually better to drive without wide body on some cars with this feature. The newer cars especially the old crew 2 cars must have wide body’s but the new additions don’t.
* Camber and ARB can adjust understeer / oversteer, so it's not always 10 10 -25 -25 * Widebody kit does indeed help on handling, but tires and especially engine sound does very little to nothing * You want cars to grip, so TCS should be Comfort (TCS+) and even drft assist can be put on Comfort. (only for DF events I would recommend TCS Off and DA on Sport", but not for racing ) --> Going sideways is gonna make you lose speed, which is not great for racing or Time Attacks. * As for the cars, each discpline has several cars which can be "meta" , depending on the track (highway : topspeed matters / twisty tracks : acceleration and cornering matters, that results in several cars that can be used in specific circumstances, so just calling one or two cars "meta" is just not true......Which brings me to my final conclusion : You call this video "ultimate meta guide", but many things you say in this video are just not true, I am sorry. * And that can lead to people sliding around in Grand Race a lot for instance, which even today I still see happening quite a lot, just don't give out false info or ask around in the Competitive part of the Community (Goliath, Simgii, Akor, RynoTheRaccoon,...... just to name a few fellow RUclipsrs who are considered to be amongst the fastest drivers in the game.
For real. I disagree with linearity at 100 and Sensitivity and dynamic max lock. For my personal driving style its way to sleepy. I have linearity still on 50, sens at 70 and dyna max lock at 60 and thats my absolutely sweet point to drive.
Is there any other way to get fast bucks except ur latest way it wont let me take the off road shortcut it just puts me back even tho i turned off all forms of guidance😤
@sidwaj. I see you have controller settings, but do you have wheel setting for those of us who choose to play with wheel n pedals? I.E. force feedback settings, damper, as well as abs, traction, and the sort?
They really nerfed nitro ten fold. Now we can't use half our tank compared to 25%. Pure per part went from 8% to 5% and nitro refill went from 10% all the way cut in half down to 5%. And playing with a nitro set in TC2 you can see the difference. And we don't get a full tank at the start of the race. real bummer

no matter how good you drive any other car outside of meta(some non meta cars can be good but on very specific tracks) for most classes(AGP excluded, most of them pretty much the same) with same top skill level you will always lose, this guide is not the best that's true, especially cento being meta, cento only good for low skilled players, easy to drive, best maintanable top speed w/o slipstream partner, that's why its used in summit escapes for top scores, but its turning and ability to maintain pace outside of straights is pretty bad, Agera R will run circles around it in hands of equally high skilled player. If you want to have top times and care about leaderboards you are tied to meta cars, even above average player who uses meta will be gapping top skilled one in slow cars, so its more a question to developers why lets say Marcos Cab isnt nearly as fast as 911 2.7, or auidi rs2. If you dont care about best runs possible and happy with average or below times thats fine, but calling competitive people losers is totally wrong
Dont get me wrong you are a good entertainer, but if you want to make meta guides, you either have to become a much better driver, or at least do some research, to add some points to what simgii and goliath already pointed out, not sure why they didnt touch nitrous use, using it only on straights will get you above average but not to the top, it is car to car and track to track basis, some cars require you to use some nos in corners, like agera R, on some tracks you need to use nos in almost every car in high speed corners(kiss me combi is a great example, good luck getting under 1min 24 sec runs w/o using nos in corners and maintaining 400 kmh+, there are literally only 3 corners on that track where you dont nos, in alpha GP car w/o slipstream partner). In short nitrous use is a learning curve for every car you use and every track you use it for. Direct drive is absolute meta and very consistent, in grand races you can do fine w/o it only if you can maintain slipstream, the moment you lose it you will start to fall off from experienced guys with direct mode, because it allows you to maintain apex and exist speed much higher than w/o it ( kiss me combi last high speed corner w/o direct mode you cant even take it w/o slight tap on brakes at apex and best exist speed i had was 287 kmh, with direct mode no braking required and exist speed at 320+ kmh) on a track you showcased in this video in alpha gp car i was maintaining 10-15 kmh higher apex and exist speed using direct mode rather than regular settings with some sensitivity adjusted
