Really beautiful. Oh, you meant wire Ornament hangers, not paper clips...but opened paper clips probably would work... Fishing line is great for chandeliers. Love this so much. Look forward to your next videos! Tfs
Where did you get those hoops? Did you spray paint them?
@@HDnursepractitioner these are embroidery hoops.. Available in Michael's, A.C.Moore, JoAnn's Fabric... Even Walmart ...even Walmart that have almost no craft or sewing sections have embroidery hoops... Then yes..these were spray painted, but, as she said, covering in glitter was her favourite... So for best results, paint then apply glitter to paint while wet... Then touch up with mod podge and more glitter then seal with another layer of mod podge...or white school glue with just a touch of water mixed in....a pretty good substitute for mod podge!

This does not even qualify as a DIY. This is simply a work of art. Simply gorgeous. No one could ever guess that this was a DIY. Your imagination is just awesome. I will definitely make this chandelier. Recently I bought the metal ribbon. I actually found it on Etsy for $8.00 plus $2.50 shipping. I can't wait to make this chandelier.

Beautiful.. Quick tip.. Fishing line is best when doing chandeliers. It's clear and easy to maneuver(adjust). Fairy lights are great to use for added lighting... I hope this helps....
I did not have fishing line. I really wish I did!!! 😭😭😭 I also think fairy lights would work well here too except for the battery pack I wouldn't have a place to hide it.

@@LissaMDecor I think those amazon remote control lights would be best! Imagine..no fussing just hit the remote... Love it!!! And Walmart had fishing line for so cheap...huge rolls..just get the stronger test line. And again, this is so great. I wish I had access to that ribbon while I am out if the USA but some sellers don't want to ship, or will ship but for more than the ribbon costs... Its just Mexico... Not that far .... ;)

The lights I used for the are the remote control ones. They came in a pack of 5 with 2 remotes. They are great and easy turn on and off which I showed in the video as well at 9:10 of the video.

So, this us the original idea. I was looking for a project because I want to add a diy chandelier instead if buying one, I'm a crafter as well and like doing my own stuff ti decorate, I saw others videos but yours is the oldest and the best, I already usedvtbe crystal tear drops fir other project and I have some left. No I just use a plant hanging hook and it screws right into the ceiling
It turned out great. Did you use real crystals or acrylic? 80 seems like a lot. I was worried about the weight, but I do love the real thing better.

Very gorgeous chandelier. Mi get the crystals for my chandeliers on Ebay. It's much cheaper & you get more. Mi hate that wire to 🤣. It's a pain in the butt. Mi use metallic upholstery threads, paperclips & jewelry clamps to fasten chandeliers. Yaaaas LED lights are most definitely the way to go. Love your craftsmanship. STUNNING!!!

Very beautiful. I would keep it away from moisture. Low cost materials are awesome but you need to keep this one where it's not very humid. I hope that you realized that before Mother Nature wreaked havoc on your beautiful work!

It will come out! This was not super hard I would say medium hard! Just adjusting the height was a pain. It is ultimately pretty simple. It definitely is a great accent light over the tub.

Swooning. Dam is that ever smokin'. I am going to be making a chandy for over my bed in a long stay rehab, which is a PC way of saying it's my home. I want something to make it glam and homey and there is no light source. Yours is perfect since I have to hang it on the metal grid that holds the ceiling tiles up.

Sometimes I go on these decluttering binges and just want to toss everything! But that tray would have been a mistake to throw out it looks great now 😊😊
I made one of these using this tutorial. But I just used the inner hoops of the embroidery hoops because working around the metal fastener was annoying.😂

One of those hanging plant hooks! Just screws into the ceiling. I am trying to figure out how to cover it up.
Just use a marker to mark the wire and get the exact length. Please don't speak broken Spanish is an insult.

Oh and also I think it would add extra wow,if the top base had a mirror attached to the board then the lights reflect off the mirror also I'd replace the hanging wire with chains, I think that's what I'm gonna try but thanks so much

WOW! Stunning! Did you alternate the crystals the same on each layer? 3 then 2
I alternated them based on the size of each hoop to make it look full and even trying to keep with the pattern if that makes sense. So on some hoops, it is 3 and 2 all around and some it is 3 and 2 and then a couple can end up being 2 and 2 or 3 and 3 next to each other but still looks seamless overall.

Either one as long as they can separate and turn into a S- hook. If you can use fishing wire it will be even better

In fact I just ordered the most amazing crystals and some really cool metal ribbon. My style is more rustic French garden with some shabby glam touches...if that makes sense. Imagine walking in to an old French cottage and rummaging through for old relics...that's my decor. So I can't wait to attempt a chandelier in that style.

How would you mount this on to a pre existing light source ?
You would have to get 3 or 4 small hooks. Screw them into the ceiling and attach this to it. You use fishing wire or regular wire to make some small loops around the top embroidery hoop and attach the hooks on the wire
OMG.....I LOOOOVE THIS. I will create one for my bathroom to hang over my tub as a ambient light along with lit candles when I take my weekend bubble baths. EXCELLENT JOB
