hello, my splints have been really tacky despite curing and washing with phrozen model wash. i can scratch the surface with my nail. What do you suggest?
I am extremely unhappy with my splint - it was crudely shaped, didn't fit and moved my teeth. My dentist has to make adjustments which left the guard bumpy. I am worried about the way in which the pores were opened by my dentist and what I may be ingesting. Is there a way to have my $400 splint redone?
If it doesn’t fit, your dentist should be telling their laboratory to remake it. There should be no charge on your part.
If it’s a keysplint (soft or hard/soft) nightguard, I would first suggest you leave it soaking for a minute in very hot water (hot enough to where you can’t keep your finger in it for more than a few seconds) and then quickly put it on. The nightguard should become flexible and easily mold to your teeth.
