I quit going to privately listed estate sales years ago. People think because they paid top dollar when they bought something that we want their used stuff for top dollar. Instead of a sale they need to get a booth or eBay account and put the work into it. They are too emotionally attached to how much they think it’s worth. My spouse has a Longeberger basket that he has believed for years it was worth $300. I showed him online it sells for about $20. You could see the bubble slowly burst. We get something in our minds and it’s hard to let it go.
I went to a private one not long ago. Everything over price and house smelled and dirty. Sad.
That’s what I was thinking because the owner was standing watching everyone lol

Does anyone remember the “Better Homes and Gardens Seal of approval” they would have in their magazines? 😂. You could put a sticker on things you sell “Thrifter Twins seal of approval “. I really enjoy your videos and get happy when you score good finds.
My mom made macrame plant holders , wine 🍷 "racks" (looks like a plant holder but with wine slots) and even lamp shades in the late 70s early 80s. She asked what class should i take at Frank's? ( crafts/ plant store ) So she signed up for macrame. She even made us belts and purses. Key chains too.
That sounds like a fun class, I wouldn’t mind starting to make macrame 😃

That’s all from my childhood what you’re saying is vintage it’s funny and I’m not that old
I've often purchased stirling 925 ,thinking it wasn't because of colour ..I've had it really dark , black almost! ...it tarnishes once subjected to the air etc and because it contains certain compounds of metal! So never think just because you see really dark silver items that it isn't silver it most likely is ...also 999.9 is the highest grade of silver which is softer and is just pure silver with no other compounds of metal hence why it doesn't tarnish dark! and never really associated with jewellery making ...but if you was to find an item that is silver which has white tarnish that possibly could be high grade silver 999.9 ...so always check very dark silver and one with a white tarnish as both may be real silver! 😊😊

I have a piece of pottery that I priced at $18.00. No one even looked at it. I bumped it up to $38 and its got a lot of looks.
We done that on eBay, ended then relisted for a higher price and it sold

Get a stronger uv light (dark room) cause other colors glow. My Blue birds of happiness glows a soft green as well as other vintage blue glass.
