That’s one of those days you will never forget !!
That's what I said a month before this trip when we hooked into over 70 and landed 50. We thought thst was the perfect day. Then this happened. Lol
I've been fishing a long time and those days are few and far between, super happy for you guys. That's a memory of a lifetime!!
Thank you. Our worst day this year was around 30 salmon. Absolute stellar year.
Amazing day, good on you guys to call your buddies over. That's what fishing is all about! 🙌
We knew the GOSD was on but figured what the heck, let's do it. 😂
Most epic day ever. Congrats Boyz 🐟
Thanks man! Lake Ontario is incredible!
Amazing, I caught a 25lb
/pounder king salmon in port hope 3 years ago.
Beauty fish! I just got a 25lb in gbay of all places lol
For 3 weeks anyone out in the lake in the same area fishing did those numbers. The fish disappeared after July 6th and then everyone struggled to find big numbers. Good fishing!
Not us we went 50/74 at south shore as well. Even into July we continued to hit 30+ fish days. We stopped sharing though due to GOSD and trying not to share too much.
thanks again brother ! it was a great day!
Any time man!
Never been salmon fishing before, but want to have this experience Soooo bad!!
Jigging is even better!! Check out videos on my channel jigging them!
Most epic video I've seen in a long time.
Thanks Troy!! That means so much. Comments like thst is what drives me to make more videos! 😊
It is definetly possible to have a 100 fish landed day out there!
Awesome day!
Thanks man! It was truly incredible.
You put on a CLINIC !
Thanks brother! It was a good day!
Absolute pro 👏 👌
Thanks buddy! You have to try Lake O. It's incredible! How well you do on Georgian Bay, you will make a mess on Lake O. The Lake O fish are much easier to catch!
@@FoxFishing4K I'll definitely try it next year! And your than welcome to come along 👍🏼
That is a pretty amazing day of fishing... bet there were some sore muscles the next day!!!!! But worth it to have a day like that.
Oh absolutely worth it! Just incredible!
I dont even want to think about what your guys’ arms felt like the next morning🤣🔥
It was pretty bad! I told mitch it felt like I fell down the stairs. I'm getting old and my back and everything hurt lol 😂
What an EPIC day!!!! We had a 4 fish day out on the lake by Port Hope. Our biggest was 21lbs.
Mind me asking what speed you were trolling? I'm a newbie to chasing these big Chinooks, and want to get better.
I did a whole video on speed. Check it out. It tells the speeds and why as well as what speeds for baits and time of year 😀
does the summer salmon run indicate how the fall run is going to go?
It can be a good inclination. Shows signs to come!
Here's my big question on a day like that are you passing back and forth over the same "zone" or are you just trolling straight for a couple of KM before turning back ?
Just getting into the world of salmon. So much to learn.
We will troll a long straight line. If we go 15 or 20 minutes without marking then we will dial back.
Wow that’s crazy. How deep are you guys? I’ve been strugglin trying to get my first salmon
Higher Kevin, don't waist your time. I've had my boat for 4 yrs now and the first 2yrs I caught nothing. Kevin came out on my boat taught me boat control, lines temperature speed, he's a absolute pro. First day with Kevin on the boat 7 fish with my terrible boat control get a hold of him, he's awsome 👍🏼
@@daren9721thanks man appreciate that. Now your hitting fish steady on your own. You are crushing it out there. I reach out to you about fish and depths now! 😀
@@FoxFishing4K I know a guy! Kevin the king fox who taught me👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
What was your speed, what time of year, and how many rods did you try setting?
We only set 4 rods. We couldn't set 6 rods as we couldn't keep 4 lines in the water. This was week 1 of the GOSD I beleive. We were adjust speed between 2.1-2.7 depending on baits being used. Slower for meat and faster for spoons.
King Slayer guys did 72 3 weeks ago
That's awesome. I have heard those guys are extremely dialed.
how far were the spoons behind the ball
We did a Geoegian Bay setup. Long leads 50-70 feet.
It’s hard to tell from the video but are you guys just south of the spit? I’ve only caught a couple this summer and I’ve always thought it would be better to fish south of Humber river as that’s where they’ll be heading soon and the cormorants eat all the alewives around the spit. My gf n I have been skunked a couple times trying to get her first salmon lol. Her kid brother and sister are coming to stay with us for a week soon too, I’d love to get them all salmon but I’m fairly new and only have one downrigger and a dipsy diver that I hold as we troll.
We were fishibg between Lake Front Promenade and the spit. Basically directly out front of the CN Tower :)
That's crazy! Were you using a fish hawk? What was your speed?
@@steveball9094we were fishing 50 degree water and 2.1-2.7mph
not even edible any more sadly. lake ontario is a dirty swamp at this point.
72 is common this year for that many rods and hours. So you are getting roughly 3 fish per hour per person. We have had 30-35 days just from 530pm to 9pm with 4 rods and cheaters. Its really easy to pad the numbers being out the whole day. Nothing amazing.
We regularly have charter captains asking for information on a regular basis. If they were hitting these numbers, they wouldn't be calling for information. Once location, bait, speed, and depth are provided they can replicate the pattern. There were lots of guys doing great numbers. Many of which we provided information too.
Crazy thing is most of these charter captains never give shout outs for the information. They just post that they are hammering fish. The inner circle of people know where the information is coming from.
I could easily make a list of how information is passed down. Her is an example. In this video Tal calls. We give tall the info, he comes out and does well, he passes the information to Andrei Budai, and Flyinspired. Now flyinspired is giving Tal a shout out for putting him on the fish so he could jig them. All the information leads back to us as the source. Now x that by 9 charter captains :)
72 is common damn , I hang my head in shame as I’ve never seen a day this amazing. I possibly would get stressed out with no down time lol
