@@dan74695most young people from NY don’t have strong NY stereotypical accents. Mostly the only New Yorkers who have strong accents are older, like 40+
@@Vivian-ho1xuI’m 28 and I have the thickest accent I’ve ever heard, I hate talking to people out of ny because it’s so embarrassing to me, it’s the elephant in the room constantly, I sound like a 75 year old bookie from fuckin Howard beach
I'm 32 and I can tell people younger than me don't have as thick as an accent as before. When I grew up there wasn't social media. You grew up speaking how everyone else around ya spoke.
Weird thing with me, I'm from Upstate NY, around the Finger Lakes region, but my accent literally sounds like a Southern accent and a Boston accent combined.
Im from upstate New York and we speak completely different from NYC. like when I say water it comes out as "wAHter" every word with an a in the middle for i extend it into an "ah" another example would be "dAHg (dog)"

This is extremely mild for a NY accent

Fr
Best two words I love to tease my wife with “coffee” and “orange” it’s getting difficult to get her to say them anymore 😞
Absolutely!! She said all her Rs ... lol
Exactly...she must be from Wisconsin
Not as powerful as a fully charged Boston accent
😂😂😂
Yeah but Boston is wac 🤣 so who cares
Listen to brookyln Bronx or long island accent then
The only difference is o dropping and r dropping
@@user-fd6qd9nc4xas a long islander I confirm
It is very mild for New York.
My guy has never been to NY 😂
Shoulda made her say “cawfee”
or "software"
I was hoping for that one.
@@DomoniqueMusiclover soaftwah
@@yes-qw6om 😂🤣🤣
Cawfee
She’s so delicate 😊
That girl’s from Long Island for sure.
You mean she's from Long Guy Land? Nope, she's Brooklyn
Had Mariah Carey Long Island accent?
Don’t say the Lords name in vain
Long islander here, we don’t claim her
I live in Long Island too and this is a fairly mild accent
I hear people everyday here in Atlanta with a thicker NY accent 😂😂
The most wawtid-down New Yawhk accent I evah hoid.
Foh Reeeuhhhhl.
If she doesn't talk like the guy who played Archie in All in the Family, she's got no NY accent.
I read this in the style of bugs bunny
😂😂😂
She doesn't even drop her Rs, this is one weak NYC accent
Shes a slight hipster
Are you kidding bro??😂
As a New Yorker that is the least New York sounder New Yorker in New York
You mean ‘thinnest new york accent.’?
I’ve heard so much stronger New York accents
Very mild for New york.

Meadow soprano.
Wanna test your NY accent? Say "A coffee costs a quarter on the corner" out loud
Water sounds completely normal
I don’t see a accent but I’m from New York 😂😂
She didn’t have much of an accent.
I feel the same way about when people say "they have a strong southern accent."
All I can think is "these people have never been south of Tennessee."
She says one thing, and the subtitles say something else.😂
Just sounds like an Anglo-Atlantic accent to me
If you think this is a heavy New York accent, I suggest you go down to Florida where all the real New Yorkers now live and have a listen.
If there weren't subtitles I still understood everything she said. I'm from the South with a very mild accent myself & I sound like that.
In Philadelphia, people say water as “wuh-tur”.
She sounds no more New Yawk than I do and I am from Chicago. Jo Polnicek from Facts of Life had a thicker Bronx accent.
This is very far from the strongest NY accent. She probably does even know a Joey.
Could listen to her all day love it
I like his intro, as if the New York accent is this obscure thing.
Someone needs to make a short documentary called "Accents"and the different accents in every state
Proud new yorker❤❤
I'm 32 and I can tell people younger than me don't have as thick as an accent as before. When I grew up there wasn't social media. You grew up speaking how everyone else around ya spoke.
This does seem mild, and I ain't even from NYC, hell I'm not even from the US.
She pronounced every word perfectly. I didn't see what the problem is.
she not even speaking brooklyneze yet
Weird thing with me, I'm from Upstate NY, around the Finger Lakes region, but my accent literally sounds like a Southern accent and a Boston accent combined.
"Bobby Shmurda for governor"
She should have gotten her mad and then done the interview. An angry Nooyawka will floor you with their accent (my mom was from the Bronx)
I was telling someone, to speak like a New Yorker replace some letters with ‘ww’
This needs to be an actual segment. Hilarious 😂
Maybe she was just nervous, but that’s pretty light for NYC. 🤷🏻♀️
You should do "here" and "beer "🍎🍎🍎
she sounded completely normal
Very very mild...😂
Bro said "holy hell"
Im surprised she even managed to say the R in "York" lmao
I have the NY accent too 😂😂😂
She sounds regular American. I can literally hear her “r”s
She seems to nice and polite though.
Im from upstate New York and we speak completely different from NYC. like when I say water it comes out as "wAHter" every word with an a in the middle for i extend it into an "ah" another example would be "dAHg (dog)"
SHES DEFINITELY NOT REP NYC ACCENT!!!! LMAOOOO TALK TO ME FOR 2 MIN THEN U WILL GET IT

Lots of extra Ws in there.
Have her say HOUSTON ASTROS 😅
Should have asked her to say cawfee 😂
Come to California, every word you tell us to say we just say DUDE!!
I love the Boston accent more!
Boston: Caaah
NY: Cawfee
Actually the ny accent is the best accent thank you
I haven't lived in NY for fourteen years and my R's are still non-existent.
NOT EVEN CLOSE. Intaview my cousin Joe from Queens. 🗣
talk with your hands, have an attidude, and just replace the “o” sound with a “aw” sound in words like dog or daughter.
Do the Manchester accent next please 😂
I'm Dutch and still sound more like a New Yorker.
So, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and the rest have that NY accent or is it the Bronx accent on Staten Island??
South canada
My favorite it is "cuawfee"
Watta.
LOL same😂
😎👌🏼
Beautiful
She still says, "New York"... a New Yorker says, "New Yawk".
I think you mean N'Yawhk

She should be promoted to the head of the FBI's New York office.
This is legit
When I think of thick NY accent, I think of the movie My Cousin Vinny! “The two yutes…”😂
Im from California but I was born with a tounge tie and have trouble pronouncing my R’s and everyone thought I was from New York.
She’s not from the city. Get a person from the city. That joint gonna hit different lol
Coffee?
That was nuthin’ PSH
Ask a NYer to say “I’m going to walk to Staten Island to borrow some water to make coffee for Anthony and Doris.”
You’re welcome.
Ever herd a new jersey accent!!!!
I love the New Jersey accent 🏴🇬🇧👍
I'm talkin ova here
Fred Armisen could do the different borough accents.

She from Rockland County? Haha
You should've given her "software"

I love New York 😊
Im shocked she didnt cuss. That seems to be every New Yorker and a cuss word every other word
What about the Southern Missouri Ozarks accent? Anyone? Didn't think so.
She's giving Meadow Soprano vibes
We in Joesey do the same thing…. We all Yankees to the south😳😂🇺🇸 I never knew my accent was so , till talkin to people in other states😂 aight 😂
We in Jersey don’t sound like this I’m from south Jersey we sound more like Philly . It depends on which part of Jersey you are from
kinda mild for old style Nu Yawk accent - I moved to Minnesota 37 years ago but still sound as if I had been in Brooklyn all this time
Dafuq. Fran Drescher is probably the thickest New York accent I've ever heard. This isn't even close
Well she's not from Long Island because in Long Island we say not water with an R but wauda with an A.
I've heard waaay stronger new york accents than that.
I just can make out the difference between British and American accent so far.😂
She’s won the lesbian awards, what a beauty. Either she’s a lesbian or she’s a straight woman who plays soccer
Lol
She’s so pretty either way
As a new yorkian she said everthing correct didn't she
