My first venture into an Airsoft Mystery Box, things didnt go to plan!
I ordered x3 Mystery Boxes from www.davescustomairsoft.co.uk from their "Mystery Box Extravaganza 2020" promotion a £50, £100 & £250 box. Imagine my suprize when only the one box turned up!
I contacted Daves Custom Airsoft who advised me that they combined the value of the order into one box to save on shipping as they only charged one shipping cost for the whole order...
I did request a refund but this was declined as it states in their T&C's "No Refunds or Returns" so I raised a PayPal claim as clearly sending the one box instead of three is clearly not as described and received a full refund..

We would like to explain how our mystery boxes work, this may help you to understand the one box.
Because we cannot have hundreds of mystery boxes physically packed in our shop at any one time we print out hundreds of lists of randomly selected items by creating baskets from our webshop. To these piles of completed box lists we mix in lists with the prize box contents.
When packing day comes we randomly apply an order invoice with a certain value box contents list, then pack together and ship.
Because your invoices were bunched together we picked the multiple lists together and applied them to a single box.
Now that you have raised the point in future years we will seperate other customers boxes physically for further clarity.
Our mystery boxes are designed to provide the opportunity to receive much higher value items than the price paid, or, at least more than the retail value paid.
Naturally every year we end up with some extremely happy customers and a small minority of not so happy customers. That is the nature of the giveaway and it is in the spirit of the event to understand that it is all in the luck of the draw.
for 400 quid i'd be crying. for a 200 pound box you did good. for a 250 box you did alright, for 400 quid, you lost out there.
Mystery boxes are for those who have nothing to loose. But seriously Daves custom airsoft those stuff are things you couldnt sell. At least make a theme. Extra mags for the pistol maybe.
I ordered the £250 one and got a pistol, a quake and 3 G3 mags, valued at better than 105% of what I payed

Just the pistol and grenades are the £405 you were guaranteed. The rest is a bonus

@@gb030104 I did contact them before opening as the £250 was meant for me the other two (£100 & £50) was for my lad for Xmas, but I didn’t get a breakdown list of what was suppose to be in the different boxes, it was all clumped so impossible to split in the end. Don’t forget each value box also had a chance of winning the special gun, so instead of having 3 chances with the different values, we were only given one chance.
for the price spent that's disappointing. you would have thought you'd get a rifle in there
I know was expecting another two boxes to turn up but nope, that was the only box 😳
Remember it wasn't a £400 mystery box. It was 3 mystery boxes totaling £400.
Was recently looking at purchasing a dca mystery box but after watching that shambles i wont bother. Thanks for the video though mate
Did you ever manage to get a refund? I would of been very disappointed with the box as well as the customer service you received.

Yes returned it all for a refund, now if the same items came in the different value boxes I would have to keep them and would of done as that’s the world of mystery boxes, I only returned them as it wasn’t what I’ve ordered. DCA have seen and commented on the video saying there looking to change this, but giving it a miss this year.
It's not the best mystery box I've seen, very confused by 2nd hand mags?
Nope not one fo the best ones, best thing about these unboxing videos is you get to see mystery boxes for what they are and then be able to form your own judgement if you should buy one and who from 👍

honestly if i would receive it i would be very very disappointed,
i had similar problem with extreme airsoft i ordered rifle and with it 100£ mistery box all was in one box and not suprise at all so opening was fail... did not contact them but i was disappointed because i was 100% shure will get pistol but got 1 hard case for m4 and some other little shitty things..
My goal is to buy one of each mystery box in the UK and film the unboxing, Ive seen alot of poor boxes that other RUclipsrs have opened but also some great ones. I figure if we can put this content out there, the retailers will see it and we will see if the quality of these boxes improve over time?
@@LAZYDADAIRSOFT my wife bought one for me as present on Xmas from Leicester Airsoft. i will upload video when i will made a intro etc. but can say worst to try them ;) btw good idea , maybe they will start thinking xD and will not try rid of shitty things xD

Yeah I wouldn’t bother with mystery boxes stuff that waste of money half the stuff would even get used most the time

2 quakes and the pistol is 400 quid
I know the value I paid in total is there, but if you order 3 separate boxes you don’t expect one to turn up. Even if they were combined in one box for shipping you would at least expect them to be separated inside. Only one box was meant for me to inbox (£250) the others (£150 & £50) were supposed to be for my lads Xmas as he plays airsoft too.

That's rather disappointing!
It was, I would of had to suck it up if they sent it in the 3 box’s like I ordered. Them sending it in the one box meant I was able to get a refund in the end.

Yup this one did hurt a little, but I guess not every box will be great! We’ll see which are the good ones and bad ones on my airsoft mystery box adventure 😁
