    Don't know if you caught it, but when you were testing the low voltage and put the wires back on the terminals, you reversed the cool and the common wires. The cool was black and you put it back on common. Heh heh heh... Just busting your chops. Simple mistake. You're really doing great out there big guy. Keep on being you!

Jumped motor direct from control board to cool fan terminal blue and blower fan! Replaced board under warranty! Great video my boy! 💪🏾

    I thought if your getting the 120 volts going to fan motor that it would mean it good? Your said you have to replace fan motor? I am confused
    Can you explain it? Thanks and great job though to find the wires to test it.

    Question if check the motor and didn’t get proper voltage would I go to the transformer and check there. And if I’m not getting power there I would have to change the transformer?

  • @gerardoteliz6694
    @gerardoteliz6694 2 года назад +2

    Awesome video! Quick question. On the new motor, why did you put the grey speed wire on the spare terminal? Wasn’t it suppose to go on the cool terminal for high speed or did you just wanted to lower the speed to the blower motor when calling for cooling?

    Why is there voltage on the board spades itself, I thought the 120V and 24V are coming through the wires that you removed? Apologies if that is a stupid question. Thanks for all the helpful videos!

    • @korvoterry1520
      @korvoterry1520 Год назад +2

      I think I'm getting confused because on an ECM motor you can check L and N on the plug to see if the motor is receiving high voltage and the speed taps for 24v through the wires that plug into the motor

    I was told yesterday from a service tech that my motherboard and motor need replacement, just over 4k ! Is that something that happens that both go out sometimes together? I’m probably going to go with a new system because of this since my Trane unit is 13years old and not worth it to put that kind of money into.

    Could swapping the speeds help kick start the blower? My blower doesn’t work it just gives a 1/4 turn then turns off. Heater, ac, fan all do the same. Everything turns on with the exception of the blower. It does not have a capacitor as it’s a variable speed
