I do agree: extraordinary performance! Just a little remark: the title appearing in the video is wrongly translated. It is not "The song of the thiefsª but "The song of the thief". The lyrics of the original folk song is the sad farewell that a thief awaiting his execution adresses to his lover. He reminds her his youth, how he later began to misbehave and how he was finally captured and condemned to death.
Thanks for your explanation. I'm just starting to study this piece, and understanding the nuances and story of the music is so important. I will definitely check out the original song.
Thank you for explaining the piece…I’ve loved playing this for a very long time but was confused by the contradiction of the title against the beautiful melody.
Beautiful interpretation. The phrasing and hanging notes are spot on. To me the mark of a piece like this is breathing with it in perfect harmony or visualising a ballet dancer feeling every note in graceful movement.
You are such a beautiful player. I love watching/hearing you play. I'm a college student studying guitar and have been very influenced by you the past 2 years! Thank you for all your hard work, it means the world to me.
Beautifully played, often players rush the pinch harmonics and their effect is wasted, not so here. You have perfect timing and feel for the piece. Bravo.
Awesome vibrato that reminds me of Segovia's version of this piece. So musical. You truly have the gift. Always a pleasure to listen to you. Keep up the great work :)
Really excellent playing, best version on RUclips, this is what I will aim for with learning this piece. Which luthier made your guitar, its got a wonderful sound ?
I like your interpretation very much, more than the others in fact. I think one should play this song easy, delicate, with the right emphasis on the right moment. I think you manage to let the thief sneak through the night. Is that not where the song is about?
The correct term for what I think you are referring to is harmonics rather than pizzacato, which normally is associated with the plucking of strings with the finger on a bowed instrument such as a cello or violin. Harmonics on the other hand are played by lightly placing a finger on a string above the fretboard at the moment the string is plucked.
Greetings from Catalonia, your performance of our traditional song is extraordinary!!
thank you
*OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE. BRAVO*
Beautiful playing- this piece is a lot harder to play than it sounds!

👍
How do you play those pizzicato notes so well?
The correct term for what I think you are referring to is harmonics rather than pizzacato, which normally is associated with the plucking of strings with the finger on a bowed instrument such as a cello or violin. Harmonics on the other hand are played by lightly placing a finger on a string above the fretboard at the moment the string is plucked.
Very well played, a very emotional song, but it means "song of the thief". BR
Very nice! I hope that in the meantime the performer afforded a new pair of pants.
Marry me😂
Thanks Ming Xiang!
