The thing with Stray Kids is since they write 99.99% of their own songs, they put a lot of wordplays that allow multi-interpretation. For Thunderous, they made this song as a clap-back for the nonsense/ hateful comments saying their music is noisy/ too experimental. One of the interpretations for the verse “i’m not sorry, i’m dirty” could be that they’re not sorry for being who they are cus they make their own music (get their own hands dirty). Or bcs their style is different from typical kpop music (not following kpop general music or game/ being dirty).
Stray Kids produce their own music everything down from the lyrics to the beats. Quick VERY basic summary of the songs you just listened to. God's Menu - Comparing their work and music to meals and calling themselves chefs, everyone is welcome even pigeons and magpies which is a reference to Korean folk lore, just enjoy, this is our tang (flavour, as in tangy flavour) we have no secret ingredient. Also please take note of the mv having a noisy kitchen, a noisy construction yard, and a noisy race track. Thunderous- mfs like to talk a lot of shit about their songs being noise music so they made a album called "No-easy" aka a play on words for Noisy and the title track is FULL of different noises to piss those people off, they are the thunderous ones (thunder as a representative for the "noise" they make). They also aren't vampires they are goblins another reference to Korean folk lore, which is also where the blue fire comes from, they are wearing modernized traditional korean clothes as another representation. Quite a few songs on the No-easy album basically very fun diss songs for haters, such as "Cheese" which I recomend. Idk if you are even going to read all of this 😶
not the beats but the melodies. bang chan often co-arranges the beats and sometimes makes them all by himself but the percentage is %36 for now. he's getting more and more involved though!
Bang chan has made the beats from the start. It’s the songs arrangements he got help with at the start. Lately he has been doing the arrangements as well. And he likes to do stuff with other producers like Versichoi and others.

Stray kids has their own color in kpop industry, the quality and uniqueness that their music have are beyond...most of all their discography are credited to them specially to 3RACHA (Chan, Changbin and Han) the producing unit. Stray Kids are also known as the pioneer of 'mala-taste genre'.
God's Menu is saying that their music and style is their own, that they all are the "Tang" the spice that they put their "own" style into All of their songs. That there's No secret. "They" themselves are the Spice/the Ingredients to All of their music. Thunderous" is a diss track, a clapback at the haters who sneer at Stray Kids' so-called "noise music". They're saying that they're going to keep experimenting and making the music they want to make, no matter what people say about them. Check out their "Easy", "Freeze", "Back Door", "Venom" and "Christmas EveL" mv's.
I always get confused why people don’t get the “tang” reference. The fucking song is called God’s Menu, they are in a kitchen, the lyrics literally referenced cooking all the damn time. Tang is a type of taste, usually tart or sour. What more freaking clues do you need??! And it’s not just this guy, so many other reactors ask the same thing and when they do, they get a big 👎. It’s why sometimes I don’t like blind reactions because they end up sounding clueless about everything. Glad you liked the song because it’s a fucking good one, but the reaction was…alright, I guess.
Actually "tang" means soup in korean. Although it could also mean tart or sour in English but since they said it with korean pronunciation I am more inclined to think they mean "soup".
i didn't see "my pace" reaction lol, but that was them a couple years ago. Gods Menu was 2020 , im glad you liked it. Thunderous was at the end of last year. Also, Tang is like a spicy flavor so when they say "this is our tang" its straykids special own flavor. The line about crows (in gods menu) is them saying that anyone will enjoy their menu (menu as in music they put out lol) "gods menu". Stray Kids has 8 members so maybe that's why it seems like a lot of people, because ur not used to it, but this is very common in kpop that groups have alot of people. "im not sorry im dirty" is a clap back at haters, if u payed attention to the lyrics they are talking about people who hate on them. (Not in the whole song but in some of it)
Note: Don't stop a kpop video just because you think the song is over. As in God's Menu, you end up missing the content included at the end. It's like stopping a Marvel movie when the credits start -- you're gonna miss stuff.
to be fair to rio (and the guests) I do throw them in with very little back knowledge to get the most genuine reaction so yeah not a full understanding whats happening!
@@JackMcLain he said he heard a "dodgy word" meaning the n-word, but it's not that word, it's korean "I" "nega", because changbin is saying ... "I'm changbin".
The lyrics are “I’m not sorry I’m dirty, we don’t play by the rules” it’s not dirty as in filthy but dirty as in we are different. It took me a second to figure it out but yeah that’s what they mean by that…
Gods Menu and My Pace being too similar is a wild sentence to hear and an extremely extremely loose understanding of those two songs and music in general. Everyone’s free to have their own tastes and I understand if SKZ is not for him, but I just don’t understand that particular “analysis”.
I also recommend these Korean Hip Hop songs🔥🔥🔥These songs ALL have English Subtitles. SILKYBOIS- “BOMAYE”, NAFLA - "WU", H1GHER MUSIC - "TEAM", Simon Dominic - “GOTT”, BeWhy -"CHALLAN", TigerJK - "LOVE & PEACE", or WayChed - "RIDERS" if you have the chance.😊😊
The song doesn’t say the n-word, there are just words in Korean that sound like it. Kind of like how “negro” in Spanish may sound derogatory to English speakers, but it’s just how you say “black,” as in the color. There are k-pop idols that have said the n-word (BTS Namjoon for example), or say/do anti-black and colourist things, but that’s not the case here. “naega” means “I” in Korean, and “niga” and “nega” mean “You” “kkamdoongie” is the equivalent to the n-word in Korea I believe.
The english translation of lyrics don't always get the native connotations right. They make a lot of sense in Korean. English vocabulary due to lack of culture is very restricted so it would be great if you could read up about the album/song on Google before reacting. Or just react to the musicality in which case you don't need to struggle to make sense of it. However acknowledging this is important instead of saying the lyrics don't make sense. :)
tang tang tang I believe they were saying that this is their tango like the dance which the were refering to when they did the scorpio movment which is in tango.
Literally: "This is our soup." Figuratively: "This is our flavor." The overarm movement, like much of the choreo, is inspired by cooking. In this case, they're sprinkling in their spice.
I say that cause I'm not the one reacting in this specific video. I have invited Rio to have his first reaction. 100% still clickbait but I'm not using this on all my videos 😅 just when a new guest comes on the channel

The thunderous video has a lot of imagery about Korean folk stories of goblins, not vampires, lol.
Yeepp, there is more than we can see and know. references...

Its actually 100% written and 96% produced by them
In Australia when we say "Im dirty" it means you are angry, pissed off.
@@angela14766 that just give it new meaning, knowing Chan the one writes it

"dirty" probably refers to how their music is regarded as "noisy" and they have a reputation of making not "normal" music in Korea.
Ahh love that!!

good comparison!
tang means soup, using food as a metaphor for the music they produce :)
Love it!
Ill recommend Backdoor if u wanna check out another song AND i forgot to say 2 members are Australian (Bang Chan and Felix)
I'll pass on :)
Maybe it's because you don't get what the lyrics are about, the wordplays in the lyrics, and how the music video goes with the meaning of the lyrics.
to be fair to rio (and the guests) I do throw them in with very little back knowledge to get the most genuine reaction so yeah not a full understanding whats happening!
“Man I’m not sorry I’m dirty” is kinda an Australian way of saying “I’m mad” or “I’m pissed off” if that makes sense:))
the "dodgy word" is "I" in korean.
how you mean?
@@JackMcLain he said he heard a "dodgy word" meaning the n-word, but it's not that word, it's korean "I" "nega", because changbin is saying ... "I'm changbin".

tang tang tang I believe they were saying that this is their tango like the dance which the were refering to when they did the scorpio movment which is in tango.
