Malaysia is more Islam. I’m all the way for THAILAND!!!! Buddha country is more peaceful. More respect to elders. Buddhist people believe in karma.
Thailand food is delicious and I love spicy foods. I have much love for Thailand. Thai language is polite. Can’t wait to retire in Thailand 🇹🇭 ❤️👍.

For Malaysia I like my home in Seremban. Out of the big traffic and not far to drive to Port Dixon and Malacca.. Seremban 2 is a very nice residential area. Much cheaper than Penang. Ipoh has a small town atmosphere also. Lake gardens in Seremban is small with not a lot of people. I just love Malacca and it has one of Asia's largest theaters and our best friend Yudi the singer has performed there. Wife had family who lived in The George Town area going back over 100 tears.

Lots of changes to the Malaysian MM2H long stay visa program including fixed deposit, monthly income, property purchase and required length of stay in country. Many variables depending on single, couple or family and age of main applicant. Different rules for peninsular Malaysia vs. Sarawak (Borneo) and possibly even Sabah region. I heard you must use a local agent also and they charge high fees as well. Sadly, it is no longer as affordable or as easy as it used to be.

I’m retiring in January and Malaysia was on my list of possible landing sites. I agree it’s become expensive and onerous to retire there. You really have to be committed! If you change your mind, it could be an expensive mistake. I would prefer a little more flexibility.

Going to singapore, Penang, and bangkok in a month! Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Best hotel I stayed in was eastern oriental in penang. Its an amazing hotel. To be honest I am looking forward to the food because it is amazing! Every time I come back to the US I get depressed because the food sucks here unless you pay top dollar. I been to singapore i think 2-3 times, penang about 7 times, and bangkok about 5 times
I tried horseshoe crab for the first time in penang and man I couldnt stop laughing. All you get is the eggs on the side of the shell. I said where is the rest of the crab and they told me the empty shell is it 😂😂😂😂😂. I was like there is nothing to eat and they said you need to scrape the sides for the eggs. Just so hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂
Hate to say it but the food in asia is soooooo good. I get depressed when I come back to the US 😂😂😂😂

Malaysia's long term visa is broken down to 3 regions.
    1. Sarawak borneo
    2. Sabah borneo
    3. Peninsula
The peninsula long term visa is again broken down to 4 options.
    1. Sez - special economic zone (singapore and malaysia)
    2. Platinum
    3. Gold
    4. Silver
    None will provide PR.

Now that I'm 41 and facing a job loss, I'm reevaluating my financial plan. What investment avenues should I pursue with 425k set up for retirement, 10,000 in an HSA, and a property that might bring me an extra 250,000?

I was just laid off at the age of 55, I have a 9K military pension and access to Tricare and VA healthcare. With a 401k, assets, and savings, I am considering selling or renting my home and relocating abroad. What are some good passive income opportunities?

    • @davidpattison5860
      @davidpattison5860 14 дней назад

      Hi @rhyshuntoffice
If your 9k military pension means $9000 per month , if you retire in Thailand, you can live like a multi millionaire on less than half of that , so why would you want to work ,
