- I know a lot of people loved the first video I made typing on my MacBook Air, so I figured maybe it was time for a fresh one. I hope you like it!

This may sound unbelievably weird, but I have a copy of your original Macbook Air video (audio only) that I put into quicktime player and play on a loop most of the time I'm on the computer. I just have a strange obsession with the sound, it's relaxing and I like to hear it when I'm reading or just surfing the web. I certainly can't explain why I like it so much but the way your nails hit the keys and you hit all the different keys which make varying tones of clicks... it just works. Occasionally my parents come in when I don't have headphones on and ask what the weird clicking noise is. But I love it and I'm glad you're still making these videos =)

I have practically worn out that video (if that's possible). It stands as thee best typing ASMR vid in recorded history. If I had a nickel for everytime I've watched and listened to it I'd be able to pay off the national debt. I love this one also.
haha. I know! I've got so many views on it! I don't know why it's got so many more views than my other typing videos. What is it about this one?
I'd have to say it's the sound of the keyboard and the rhythm you keep consistently. Coupled with your inner beauty, charm, charisma and the lighting. Oh yeah and your outer beauty also.

i dont know why it makes me sleepy but it does.....and its only with a mac.....the little putt putt putt of the keys just makes me so relaxed..i thought i was the only one...the only suggestion i have is to type a little more slower......fast typing makes it more stressed out....slow typing is more...zzzzzzzzzzzzz

This video is so simple and I love it. I can have troubles with my mind wandering off, and sometimes talking in ASMR videos can keep me up. But this was great to redirect my mind back and fall asleep. :) Thank you!

i wonder, could you loop this video for 3h and upload it? 30 min is short and i often find myself to wake up and reset the video.
hmmm I wonder if there's a way to loop videos on youtube...? I'll see about making a longer one. I've lost a lot of older footage due to external drives crashing (and because I'm quoted $1000 for recovery - each - this hasn't happened yet), so I would probably have to do some more typing. :-D I also have to invest in more hard drives, I think a 3 hour video would be at least 3Gigs and the space goes fast!
there is a way, just right click on the play button and press the loop option and the video keeps looping itself 🙂🙂

Yes you can! I learned in school, but I bet you can find a program to work with online, and cut out a shoebox to put over your keyboard so you can't see your hands. ;-)

Do you get any palm / wrist pain using the macbook air on those edges? I notice you lift your arms though typing here, so you're probably already in a good ergonomic position where it doesn't effect you.
+RandomSarahGrace Yes, I spend too much time on the computer, and normally I wear wrist braces and rest my hands on the laptop. hehe
MissMindBuzz Ah I see! lol I'm looking to get a i5 macbook air / pro from 2012 for graphic and video work. Do you find your machine overheats at all for what you use it for? 15" is out for me because they're too heavy for me to carry around during the day. Thanks! :D
+RandomSarahGrace I haven't used my Pro for a while (it's in LA) but it did get hot. My Air seems better but I ran out of room quickly. Had to install more, but it can still run slow... I'm irritated at the battery life. I basically keep it plugged in whenever I'm using it now....

You need a MX brown keyboard. The internal keyboard that the mac makes doesn't sound good.

Fantage green tea Tea! Then buy a cheap razer keyboard. Anything would sound better then the macs keyboard
+Lord Bills it sounds just fine to me. May be your preference, some people think that mechanical keyboards are clickier and thus more ASMR-conducive, but for me I'd prefer a laptop or something more "clocky". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
+Lord Bills Nah nah nah. Just go buy an old mechanical IBM keyboard that's turned yellow for £1 at a boot sale. They make the same noises. Otherwise you're paying for branding and LED lights.

Is it just me or does the MacBook Pro keyboard backlight look darker, and bluer than the MacBook Air? The Air looks white.
wubwubwubwubwubwubwubwub you are able to turn the brightness up and down on the pro and the air. It may look bluer because what is on the screen reflecting on the keyboard

I've actually been trying to film a new one recently but my upstairs neighbour has been too loud! I'll be trying when I go out of town soon.
But ... I would love it even more without the dog "noise" in the background.
