Beautiful cake! Awesome that you pointed out mistakes you made or changes you made. I think sometimes the pressure of making a perfect cake is stressful, and your cake is perfect. But like you said, the skill is in knowing how to fix the mistakes or look for changes. Awesome color change on the blue!
Elidet Reyes Yes! it is a constant struggle for a cake artist to put out a perfect cake. i dont think there has ever been a cake that i havent messed up on. originally that sky blue was the perfect cinderella blue, but after i added the gold, it was too bright. i am really glad i changed it up. Janet Delgado You're very welcome! The gold highlighter dust i am using mixes better with coco butter. I just melt the cocoa butter in the microwave and mix in my dust. It would be the same for both alcohol and lemon extract, only problem is that when i mix the dust with those liquids, the dust separates. some of the heavier dull particles tends to sink to the botttom and the shinier gold floats to the top. I would have to constantly mix it every time i dip my brush in. the viscosity of the cocoa butter is thicker and keeps the mixture mixed together better. i hope that helps! if you do use cocoa butter, dont forget to keep it melted over hot water, dont microwave it! best wishes to you! please email me if you have any more questions!

I just have a question about the cream cheese frosting, I thought it was like "forbidden" under fondant as it needs to be refrigerated whereas fondant cakes stay at room temperature. Do you have a special recipe with cream cheese that can stand room temperature? Thanks.
Chtef2000 Thank you so much, and i really appreciate the feedback! Cream Cheese Frosting is forbidden underneath Fondant. It was hard to see in the video but i filled the cake and crumb coated it with creamcheese. then i covered that in a white chocolate ganache, then covered that in fondant. the ganache will harden up and insulate the cream cheese. so whenever you bring out your cake. you can bring the outside to roomtemp and the inside will still stay cooled. i hope that helps!
