I love the head band idea. I never thought of that. Will be doing this on my next hair cut on myself
You can also use your razor on the entire back of your hair. Once you have cut the bottom using the razor the regular way you can cut the rest of it turning the razor the other way starting at the top and going straight down and it will blend in with the bottom. When you use the razor the opposite way it does not take off that much hair. It's a whole lot easier than trying to use scissors on the back of your hair! I found that trick out in some other RUclips videos and now that's how I cut my own.
I do the same thing using the razor instead of scissors, yes it's easier to blend it with the bottom part coz I hate seeing the bottom super straight cut like using a ruler.

Am glad you went darker. Looks perfect!!! I cut my own hair too but I liked your idea of the elastic around the head to guide the cut. I saw another video where a 3 inch clipper guard was used on the top...alleviated the use the scissors. Interesting.
Oh thank you so much! I don't have a 3 inch clipper guard but I created a guide using combs I glued together that was the same size as an 8 inch guard. Thanks again 🤗💋

Looks real good. I've always been afraid of clippers, so I'm glad that you said what number to use on them. Love the color. I didn't like the red, either. It looked dyed. Loved it when done. It is hard for me to get out of the house so I have to cut my own hair. Nice that people like you show us how. I have one question...do all the faces you make add to your skill....LOL. Just kidding.

I must admit I was worried for you at first but it came out great! I’ve always cut my own hair and i do get a lot of people ask me where I get it cut, I get a lot of compliments on it.
