Been working on this sonata recently. I really appreciate some insight here.
I think one may decide to shape 4:28 8th notes as an anacrusis instead. Crescendo through and phrase to the downbeats, gives it more direction. Also, a common mistake I see students doing is accenting the reoccurring last note of the 5 note descent motive. Might be something worth mentioning. My professor have me use fingering 53212 on this motive when applicable, the physical nature of the finger crossing allows better chance for the last note to be lifted lighter.
Looking forward to the rest of the sonata. When I get to the 3rd movement I’ll be back to check out your tips. Cheers

At 2:17, this scale passage has been really difficult for me to play properly at the given tempo. So I'm greatful for the offered fingering.

The legend returns! Just curious: Do you intend to do a guide on contemporary music at some point, a Ligeti etude maybe ? Hearing your input on how to play pieces that require unusual techniques would be incredibly interesting

      Thank you very much !!
Hmm Ligeti etudes, sure I could do tutorials. I played Desordre (first one) and I know fanfares more or less. But here's the thing.. if people already aren't going to watch a Beethoven Waldstein Tutorial, I don't know that they'll watch a Ligeti one. Trust me, this is just because I'm looking for channel growth at the moment so I can't go into "too obscure" details or stuff which will not be helpful to anyone. Still a LOT of standard repertoire I need to clear first to attract attention to my channel, which hopefully will be successful one day! If you want anything done 1on1 I do give lessons though. Otherwise, it will just have to wait.. sorry

Thank you very much!! Of course, I will! I think there are mixed audiences for my videos, some like more the fun videos, some more the serious or educational ones, so I will just keep doing a mix of both!! :)
