      what happened to sora after riku took his keyblade from him? I dont remember I just remember the wooden sword being weak as hell. But that state of sorea is probably your answer.

      @@Crowned_Hearts in final mix at least, the wooden sword is completely ineffective against heartless. Literally does nothing except build mp. But I can't imagine sora doing all these combos on a coconut tree lol

      I once grinded out a small bit on the island. Turns out, Sora can absolutely fucking preform Stun Impact with a wooden sword.

    I love how Sora's combat evolves with each game he's in. You can really see him from 1,RE:COM,2, DDD, and 3 creating and refining his own style over time. God KH has so much soul.

      @@superlombax1561 IMO Sora's combos feel best in KH1. Sora's combos in KH2 feel really weak, and like they barely do any damage in KH3. The clunkyness and weight give KH1 Sora's combos a massive feeling of power.

      @@1sdani Honestly, I kinda find it funny how it looks like Sora in KH2 is essentially slapping around his enemies with the Keyblade for the most part. Like, minus the finishers, every hit kinda sounds like a slap to me.

    The graphic effects in KH1 were simple but beautiful... Actually looked like magic and had it’s own identity

    I had no idea Sora’s combat was so complex and versatile in KH1! For a newbie Wielder he’s definitely got talent!

    It's worth noting, zantetsuken also does gravity-based damage, and a lot of it. I think the base calculation is like 250%. You can tell that it's definitely magic based damage, because it does no damage to Sephiroth.

      which is p. accurate to its origin as odin's signature attack from ff, as it just _obliterates_ the enemy party without bothering with minor details such as hp or defense
      'course, it doesn't exactly get much done against bosses, to the point where he'll often just chuck a spear at 'em instead

    KH1 is the best game. I like that trinity limit has sora turn the keyblade in the ground like he’s unlocking some power from the world’s keyhole or something

    That third and final swing will always be my favorite attack animation in any game
    Its so perfectly fluid and weighted at the same time

    Aerial Sweep actually appears in Re:Coded both as a command and as an attack for the base combo when equipping a keyblade with the Sonic Arts ability.

    Chain of Memories came out late 2004 and KH1FM was released late 2002. So the abilities exclusive to the Final Mix version (Stun Impact, Sliding Dash) originated in KH1FM, not CoM.

    Fun fact: if Soras keyblade hits a wall during strike raid he will bounce back and summon his keyblade to his hands before you can throw it again

    Gravity Break is such a fire ass ability. I hope Roxas gets it in the future, since his combos while fighting with only one key seem to mimic Soras old moves.

    Also during trinity limit sora does a locking motion with the keyblade, he spins on the hilt then pushed it down further, then twist it to "lock" the spell in I guess, but it's a cool detail with that limit and summons that sora does some form of a "key" motion with them all

    You know there is something about the weight in which his attacks feel and the fact enemies are roughly his size or bigger that still makes me enjoy this combat in ways that o don’t get from the other games. Especially against other blade wielding enemies.

    As a fun fact: the Gravity spell in KH1 looks incredibly similar to Final Xemnas's electric orbs in KH2, just a different color. Compare them side-by-side and you'll see.

    Don't know if this has been said before in your Roxas video but Base Roxas ground combo finisher is Sora's Vortex from KH1.

      ​@@BioRoxas Also on an unrelated note but I thought this was worth mentioning but Double form's Combo Finisher "Flash Charge" is Valor Form's "Sonic Strike" Combo finisher not Master Form's Fire spell in the air.
      Both Double and Valor and have the keyblade in the left hand slash outward before Sora thrusts forward and then, Sora spins the keyblade outward. Where as Master form aerial fire spell has Sora spinning the keyblade in his left hand all throughout.
      The position of the legs are different as well. Double and Valor have Sora's right leg bent forward and Master Form has the left leg bent forward.

    One of my favorite little details about this game is that when Sora hits a wall with his Keyblade, he loses the grip on his with his left hand, and he flaps his fingers around like the impact hurt

      @@superlombax1561 I know right!! The sliding looks so cool and smooth. KH3 counter slash uses an uppercut motion so it doesnt feel as smooth as KH1's
      KH2 has the worst counter imo XD
      The guard break is useful but it's not as cool as KH3's nor KH1's

    I'd like to point out that Kingdom Hearts Final Mix originally came out in 2002, a few months after KH1 Vanilla. So Sliding Dash, Stun Impact, and Zantetsuken debuted in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, not Chain Of Memories.

    I only just realized this while watching some other vid, but all the Limit Commands are all color coded, changing the color of the background while using them.
    Strike Raid - Purple
    Sonic Blade - Blue
    Ars Arcanum - Red
    Ragnarok - Green
    Trinity Limit - Black with a hint of Golden Yellow.

    Last Charge and Gravity break share the same idea but KH3 version covers even those floating while KH1 version has to be used on the ground (+ its dandy against Xemnas SB mode)

    Great video =D One mention you could have made is that when you use Aero(-ra)(-ga) during the ice Titan fight, you will actually increase the size of Ice Titans Projectiles and it won't mitigate the damage, so it is actually not recommended to use it in that battle!
    Otherwise, great video =D

      Actually, if you use it on other enemies that are weak to Gravity like Wight Knights and Search Ghosts, you can get more Tech Points.

    A fact about Zantenzuken no matter the strength or level if it hits an enemy it insta kills. Dead useful for Level 1 Synthesis grinding

      I didn't know that either until I saw it as one of Sora's Limit Form abilities in KH2FM. I know it wasn't planned but the way Sora holds his keyblade in a reverse grip kind of references Ventus for me :)

    KH1: some semblance of mechanical depth to give hope to Square’s fans that they can adapt to the action genre
    KH2: risk reward systems, powerups with isolated benefits, enemy ai that can be easily learned (with one Final Mix exception)
    KH CoM: committed the crime of being too different (but Melody gets a pass?)
    KH Days: just because you have a DS doesn’t mean you played this one
    KHBBS: so unbalanced it’s balanced
    KH ReCoded: just because you have a DS doesn’t mean you played this one

    This might be an odd request but do you think you can do an analysis on Re: Coded? I feel like the combat is very underrated and it definitely has the best command deck game play. You can smoothly combo various commands together which makes the game play so much fun. Unlike in BBS or DDD where the commands have a ton of lag in-between them that there's no point in most of them.

      Final mix that came out months after only in Japan added all this stuff

    I played Kingdom hearts fm 2 times (first was with rod, second was with shield) and had no idea gravity break was a thing, is it from a boss, or is it a level up (never got to max level)

    Bio, do you think the Elemental Encoder could be related to Quadratum? I just thought this because of the cube data particles that shows up when you summoned it, and the name elemental encoder also remind me of how Yozora's friends were using elemental attacks that seems to be decoded with similar cube particles effect

    what kind of breakdown or "analysis" is that? you didn't really explain anything in depth.. by clicking on this title i thought i would get to see some tips etc. kinda useless video because i can see ingame for myself what each skill does etc. you should rename the video to smth like "kingdom hearts combat demonstration" or preview idk..
