Best song I've ever heard in Metal music. I'm 50, I've listened to thousands of bands... been to dozens of concerts since 35 years...
    Better than that is impossible.

BACK TO TIMES OF SPLENDOR album stupendo

I personally love the outro on this one. Just like Jared Ryan said, it is a genuine melody indeed. It leaves like a romantic/sad kind of atmosphere, at least for me. At times, it feels like a glorious parting. Musically, the selection of notes in the main melody and the repetition of some of those notes, blends perfectly to the rough sound of the entire EP. I like the lack of techniques like bends, vibratos, etc (only slides I guess)... just the sustaining notes. I love how the man (don't know if it was Vurtox) who wrote this was so playful in this section in particular. Then at the very end when the two leads are playing, at the last compass, measure or whatever it calls; of the melody... the second lead guitar creates like a Canon sort of thing, not intertwined but immediatly before the main guitar. Hope I explain myself.... God there is so much I could write about this song... So unique!

Wow.....last time I was this pleasantly surprised by a song on the first listen it was discovering Opeth listening to The Drapery Falls.
I also wish more metal bands would use a keyboard, It can sound really heavy at times. Like 13:02.

    Imposture!
At the peak of my triumphant march
    Conjuration!
Doubt befalls me so close to the end.
    Cannot move any further
Feet are tired from the haste
    So close to the finale
    I desperately need to rest
Face to face with the very substance of my journey
Just need to reach out and grab the gold
Take the crown and be king for a lifetime
But in the hour that I longed for
At the vertex of my crave
Just when I thought I had broken free
I'm even deeper inside the maze
But I don't feel lost anymore
Somehow I do not feel astray
Somehow I' m not the same as before
Maybe I've grown wiser on the way
So I write this down for you to know I've been here
Tired, torn and stripped down to the core
And that I'm not the same as yesterday
Somehow I've just grown wiser on the way
Thus, I write all this down for you to know I've been here
Close enough to almost feel your breath
Write this down for you to know
I've slept the sleep of restless hours
And when I woke, I left with the promise I would be back
    Fool, Me!
    Swimming in the burning sea
I have seen the careless me!
Thus, I write all this down for you to know I've been here
Close enough to almost feel your breath
Write this down for you to know
I've slept the sleep of restless hours
And when I woke, I left with knowing I would be back
