!WARNING! Don't watch this video while drinking hot coffee LOL Jeremy, I laughed so hard I almost spit my coffee out! Thank you for such great reviews and for sharing your family with us😂
Hahahah fun video! I know it’s a different machine, but I’ve used the Almond Cow for almost three years and it makes great plant milks, including coconut. My favourite is a blend of almond and coconut. If you soak you almonds 8 hours or overnight, then just pinch them between your thumb and index you can pop the skins off…soooo creamy that way. Add a pinch of Himalayan salt to preserve it up to 5 days.
Hi from montgomery texas I have been watching for a long time and enjoy your channel as i have previously stated. You are a kind man thank you for your channel❤
Great video! We use the NutraMilk and it’s been a game changer! It makes 1/2 gallon a batch, along with nut butters and such. Our fave milk recipe so far is organic cashews, rolled oats, and shredded coconut flakes, and a little bit of salt; really rich and creamy! We buy all the raw ingredients in bulk, so are saving so much packaging waste.
I have the SoyaJoy5 and I really like it. I make fresh soy milk which turns out perfect every time. A pinch of salt is important. You can make hot or cold brew milks, thicker or thinner and I simply strain it with a super fine mesh strainer - no milk bag. Yes, use the pulp for all kinds of yummy crackers and cookies. I don't use latte so not sure about that one. I've also found that soaking nuts (even 15 minutes in hot water) takes the 'bitter' out of them. Again, pinch of salt is important. The vanilla and date is always an option, but I've never been a flavored milk person. BTW - clean up is SUPER, SUPER easy in the Soyaoy5 because there is no mesh filter - so only your strainer. If you are RUclips hunting, I think Kathy Hester did a couple of milk machine comparisons that include latte information. Thank you for another fun video!
. . . ok, now this has to be one of my most favs of your absolutely great vids...each one of your beautiful Familia members showed their very unique & super personalities & I just love each of you too much...again, can't thank you enough for all your hard work for us...God Bless...🥰
Hello from the middle of the United States - Kansas. This is a very timely video for me. Just today, I ordered a milk maker. I'm even more anxious now to get it and give it a try. I like the Silk organic unsweetened soy milk, but the Walmart here in my town quit carrying it so I have had to drive an hour to get it. But not anymore AND I won't have to drink all the stuff that's in that I don't want to drink 😊 Great video! Thank you!
I am a fairly new subscriber, and really enjoy your videos, and the comments your family makes about the food. Your kids are lucky that they have developed a taste for whole foods and hopefully won't get into the trap of eating a lot of processed junk and have health problems the way I did. How about a shout out to Cathy in a little town in Oklahoma USA!
Hi Jeremy, Vi from New York here again. This was a fun video to watch. Your family makes me laugh! I can't imagine yellow split pea milk! Your kids were very brave to taste all the unknown milks! It's very interesting to know how various milks taste. Thank you!
Hi from the UK. The pumpkin milk would be one of the cheapest and it is surprising that it tastes good and nut free too. I tend to find soy milk the most neutral and love in cooking and for a latté. Would love this machine but unaffordable for me right now. Looks like it is cheap on energy too as isnt working for long before the milk is ready. Thanks Jeremy and Co. ❤another great one 🎉😊
How did I miss this video! So funny. I have an old school SoyBella. It works great for soy milk but not so great for other milks. I sometimes soak almonds overnight, blend with water and then pour thru my juicer (to de-pulp it) if I’m making almond milk. I’d rather clean my juicer than a nut milk bag! LOL. But the easy thing I’ve been doing lately is buying Joi Plant Milk Oat powder and making a thin raw cashew milk in the VitaMix and adding the Oat Powder to get the body I like and not so many nuts. AND no straining, cuz I’ve gotten super lazy! Can’t believe Ephram drank the split pea milk, YUCK! Hysterical.
That was very entertaining and informative for viewers that would benefit from this machine 🥛 Side note: It took me several viewings of your videos to realize Ephram’s name. I care for an elderly man with the same name, but he pronounces it with a short E ( F-RUM), but (E-FROM) is also nice 😊
❤ wanted to watch live caught the End love your channel it's fun and informative I've been a Vegan for 23 years now. Guess be watching replay even though set to be notified wasn't, Thank you and your family for fun and cruelty free lifestyle entertainment.
I literally out loud at your son's reactions.I would have assumed that the lentils, rice and quinoa would need to be cooked first. Very neat machine. We usually drink soy in our house. I know it's a big process to make.
Honestly, Jeremy, I laughed so hard when your family was taste testing the different milks!!!! I mean, serious belly laughs!!! One of the best videos so far!!! Thank you so much for doing this video! Love you guys!!1
Now you got me looking up milk makers! I have a SoyaPowerG4 that I used for months, but got tired of having to strain through a nut milk bag so I started buying the milk again. I can make milk in my Vitamix, but I have to strain that, too. I always add a little sweetener & pinch of salt for flavor.
Yup - I was using my VitaMix to make my own milk, but this makes it so much simpler and mess-free - which helps when you go through as much as we do :)
This was fun! Your kids have sophisticated palates. I use unsweetened soy milk on oats every morning. My sister gave me a Chef Wave plant milk maker for Christmas last year. I thought I’d never bother with it but now I love it! It’s hard to find soy milk without emulsifiers and on the other hand, the cleaner soy milk lacks that bit of yummy something. So now I make soy with a few cashews or macadamias and love it! And hmmm, your video makes me want to try some of these richer nut milks to use in baking.
I just have a blender but my fave is sesame (full of calcium) so will give the pumpkin a try for sure. I often use banana milk on oatmeal (no sweetener required). I've heard that zucchini mylk is good for cooking/baking but have yet to try it. Thanks!
They're getting more in stock this week! And yes, it's an upfront cost - but doing the math I know that my family spends at least that on plant-milk a year - so in the long run there's a savings. And you're helping the environment...
Thank you for the great video I have been thinking of purchasing this machine to make my oat milk. Not sure now as the oat milk was not rated as high. Interesting will have to do more research. X
Looks like a cool machine. If you want to sweeten can you add a date straight into the machine with the nuts? Or would that make it hard to clean like the coconut did?
You can totally add dates and any other spices or extracts! I've done it since - cleans up the same! I made chocolate milk for the kids with dates and cocoa powder :) It's DELICIOUS
I like that it comes with a bottle and that it doesn't make a huge amount; 2 cups is perfect -- at least for us. Kudos to them for being so ecologically responsible. I do make my own milk using my Vitamix; the three I make regularly are oat, almond, and cashew. Good to know Milky Plant is easy to make but I'll stick with my Vitamix. Your video is a great way for those who are considering purchasing a 'milk maker' to decide if this machine is for them. Your family are good sports.
I just use a milk frother to heat my milk up for my lattes. It was pretty cheap from Amazon and it’s easy to clean. My favourite milks are hemp, oat and soy milk for my drinks.
Hello there Jeremy! I'm loving your channel and would love a shoutout from Colorado Springs,CO! Interesting taste test. My new roommate used to have an Almond Cow but she had to leave it behind and I don't have one. If I did, I would definitely try the pumpkin seed milk. The pistachio and walnut ones sounded interesting too. I was surprised you didn't make flax milk, and also, I think pea milk is usually made from black-eyed peas.
This is a pretty cool machine....I bought an almond cow a while back we love it. We make a chickpea snickerdoodle milk that is awesome. Cooked chickpeas, cinnamon, vanilla, cinnamon, and dates or maple syrup to taste. Our go to though because it's so cheap to make is oat.
@@pbwithjeremySure it's for the almond cow so you will need to adjust the measurements for you machine as the almond cow makes milk 4-6 cups at a time but here it is... 4-6 cups water 1cup fresh cooked or canned chickpeas 2-2 1/2 tsp cinnamon Pinch of nutmeg 2 tsp vanilla 2tbsp maple syrup or 3 dates (sweetener is to taste so add more or less to taste) Pinch of salt if using fresh cooked chickpeas. Again instructions are for the almond cow but just adjust the instructions to fit your machine... Place all solid ingredients into the basket and add water to the pitcher..go through 1 cycle pour milk into jar. Refrigerate before serving keeps in the fridge for about a week
Yes, you put the solid items in the basket of the machine and water in the pitcher part, blend and then all the solids stay in the basket, really easy to clean as well. I usually rinse out the machine with hot water when I'm done, if I use something like coconut... I put water in the pitcher with a drop of dish soap( literally a drop or you'll be overrun with bubbles...lol) and run it one cycle and rinse everything with warm water.
Hello again from weirdly warm St. Louis! Love how the fam really has fun with the taste tasting. 😁 Why no soy milk? I understand it can be “beany“, but some techniques make it less beany, but does involve cooking (See the Vegan Prepper on RUclips) I drink strong black tea with some sweetener and Trader Joe’s organic shelf-stable soy milk. I just want creaminess and no sweetness from a plant milk, and this one is perfect. I don’t drink milk so I need it to do double duty as milk in cooking savory things, and this one works. I used to use Chobani Extra Creamy Unsweetened Oat Milk, but it was getting pricey. I don’t like the cartoon waste 😕, so I would like to make my own. Jill McKeever (RUclips) has some videos where she makes crackers with a base of onions that her family loves. Would be interesting to make crackers from the milk machine discards and some additional fresh produce! -Janet
Hi Jeremy, also from the UK (Shepperton). For coffee my choice is home made almond milk but for hot chocolate it's coconut milk from the tin (once in a while). For porridge I use oat milk - totally amazing - oats on steroids lol
Hi from Scotland Jeremy & family and the Milky Plant looks so easy to use and I love 😍 gadgets (that probably makes me a bit of a nerd or a geek). Sadly the Milky Plant isn't affordable for me presently and it probably will be one of the first things I would buy once I monetise my channel. Love 🥰 the review video and it was another awesome video Jeremy. Love ❤Jeremy and family.
Hi from C. L. in Arkansas! 👋🏽 I love pistachio milk. I was surprised how much hate it got, lol. I think if you like the nut, seed, or legume, you're very likely to enjoy the milk. I think peanut milk tastes better after I've toasted them, btw.
If you soak your nuts .. they'll taste 200 times better.. I didn't like cashew milk until I soaked it.. And i still can't believe you didn't soak almonds! Tip- you can buy a big pumpkin and use the seeds to make pumpkin milk (blender works better.. make sure to strain it ...) it's so much cheaper and tastes so good.. plus you can use the leftover pumpkin for making vegan pumpkin desserts or something Savory.. you don't even have to soak those..
Hi from Gatineau Quebec. Great video. I love oat milk however it always turns very slimy when it is heated for a late. I tried, ice, very cold water and nothing works. Slimy lates taste really bad 😂. Any suggestions ?
Yeah - I have the same problem. I think you need a thicker oat milk - I see some brands have ones called "barista's blend". But for home milks cashew might be a thicker better bet for warming yourself....
For plant milk lattes, I find that heating the milk and using a wand frother works better than the steamer method. The steamer method never gives me proper foam and seems to dilute the milk. Just my opinion.
I really enjoyed this video. I have purchased a Milky Plant and am experimenting at the moment but it is still early days. I usually drink oat milk in tea (I’m from the UK) and I managed to buy some organic oat milk from the shop with only oats, salt and water (so no bad stuff or oil) and I really wanted to try to make it taste like that in the milky plant machine. But my results using oats was so so watery, which I think your wife mentioned in this video. I looked on their website and they suggest using oat groats to make it creamier. So I basically wondered if you have tried oat groats and if so what you thought? I know you liked the macadamia and pumpkin seed in your latte, but I wondered whether you had changed your mind over time and also whether you had tried any of them in tea? Sorry to fire all the questions! Still loving the channel. Sorry to post on an older video but wanted to make sure the algorithm showed accurately the interest in this particular topic if you see what I mean! Love your videos.
Sorry for the delayed response! I still really love the pumpkin one - Oh - I like that idea of using oat groats. I imagine that steal cut would work too! How are you enjoying your machine?
@@pbwithjeremy I’m really enjoying the machine thanks. I will definitely experiment more to find one that is creamy but not too nutty (you don’t really want a nutty flavour in tea) and the oat groats were still a bit watery. So I soaked them for a few hours. That was definitely better but might try pumpkin seeds next! Thanks for doing this video. Whilst it was hysterical, it was really really informative and I ended up buying the machine after watching this. Thanks so much for doing the video and your family's reactions were hysterical! ❤️
Loved this!! I really like walnut milk, but now I have some more to try. Did you use roasted or raw pumpkin seeds?? Also I’ve been watching since your first few videos, but if your doing a shout out ~ hello from Tara on Vancouver Island BC 💛
I actually just used it in a video we're shooting now. But I can tell you - we use it all the time. Very happy with it. Don't forget to use my discount code to save you 10% - milkyplant.com/PBWITHJEREMY The machine is a little on the pricy side, but it'll save you money in the long run - it's better for the environment and you just have so much more control over what milks you can use :)
Our milky plant arrived today, we got the two year anniversary price plus your discount code, so thanks loads for that. Needless to say I have already made a couple of batches. Thanks again.
Oh my goodness, this video was so funny and I also warn not to consume beverages while watching - I almost spit my water out several times.😂 I wonder if large flaked coconut or coconut flesh would have yielded a nicer milk without all the extra clean up? I also wonder if white rice would have yielded a nicer flavored rice milk.🤔 Thanks for sharing the experiment. Congratulations on the crackers!!!
Great video. Sadly, the machine is out of stock. And when I click on "notify when available" I put in my email click notify me when the a small hand with 🚫 like that appears. Hopefully 10% discount will still be valid when inventory is back in stock.
Hi Jeremy just reading you can make oat milk in the vitamix if you have one, soak the oats overnight, then rinse the oats to remove the excess starch, stops it from going slimy. Then process for 30 40 mins. 1 cup oats to 3/4 cups of water.
@@pbwithjeremy Unfortunately, it’s nothing healthy. 🤪 It’s a decadent dessert with layers of flakey dough sandwiched between layers of thick sweet vanilla cream. Unfortunately, my wife isn’t onboard with a plant based way of eating….yet. I’m trying to find ways to substitute plant based ingredients into her foods with the hopes she converts over.
If you want a thick cream you might want to just blend cashews straight up and not make milk from them - if it's true thickness you need and more of a cream@@romanb1827
Of the many I have tried, I'd say they are all at least fair+ to excellent. As long as they are not the violence-based cow's milk which the industry keeps trying to shove down our throats, then they are all close to delicious.
curious...were all these beans and grains suggestions as optiopns from this Milky Plant company? or did you just choose some? Just curious :) Also - did you cook the soy bean milk after creating the milk? Thx!!
White rice would have been a little tastier, and i imagine all would be better with a couple dates and or maple syrup depending upon your sweetness and allowance of natural sugars of which i am school both♥️ equal opportunities for dates and maple syrup in my food…
@pbwithjeremy when you go to the site it sees I am in Canada and asks to change to Canada. Once there it shows only a gift card option available for purchase. I will maybe try and order without changing to Canada...looking forward to getting this machine especially since the plant milk recall this year! 😊 Love your channel btw, and your family is the best!! ❤
@@shannonyager8303 Thanks Shannon!! if you keep having troubles e-mail me at pbwithjeremy@gmail.com and I'll try to put you in touch with my contact there!!!
Jeremy, the Milky Plant company should put your video on their website, as its the best advertising I’ve seen for a product like this. You took it from beginning to end and then made crackers. And the comedy of using odd ingredients had me rolling on the floor! And your family is absolutely adorable. Viewer comments are that it’s pricey but you’ve shown that you are actually saving money over the long run and it’s more environmentally friendly as one is not buying boxes and boxes that go into the landfill. 😊
Not stupid - honestly - you need a steaming wand of some kind. Also NOT essential. A frother is really the trick. Something like this would work and it's pretty affordable: amzn.to/3MSifFU

Yummy! Please update us in a few months to let us know if you've been able to replace store-bought with homemade plant milks using this machine.
Yes, I would like to know how this turns out also.
This is the real question. Would love an update.
I have not bought milk since I got my milk machine for Christmas last year. Soy and hemp are my favorites. Frothier is a must for coffee.
Will do! I mean, we've had it now for a few months and we're using it exclusively - no more buying milk for us!

You have to cook the soy, more steps involved.
Hi Jeremy, also from the UK (Shepperton). For coffee my choice is home made almond milk but for hot chocolate it's coconut milk from the tin (once in a while). For porridge I use oat milk - totally amazing - oats on steroids lol
Oats cooked in their own juices!!! Ohhh - I've never tried coconut milk for cocoa..... I like this..
Thanks David! It's a great machine - if you're making videos reach out to Milky Plant - maybe they'll help you out!
Hi from Keller/Fort Worth Texas ❤! Love you guys and your channel!
Thanks Christy!!!
@pbwithjeremy still looking forward to my shoutout! 😊
Hello from central Washington State in the heart of the Cascades. My favorite milk for lattes is soy milk. Thank you for sharing your recipes. Jean
Thanks Jean! I like soy for making my yogurt with!
Hi from C. L. in Arkansas! 👋🏽 I love pistachio milk. I was surprised how much hate it got, lol. I think if you like the nut, seed, or legume, you're very likely to enjoy the milk. I think peanut milk tastes better after I've toasted them, btw.
I really liked the pistacio :) ANd I think the kids liked it more the next day.
Hi from Martha in Louisville, Kentucky. Love your videos.
Thanks so much!
Agreed!
LOL Annie making that gross milk at the end was hilarious 😂
hahaha
Greetings from Kelly in South Florida!
Hi Kelly!
That was awesome. To pricey for me but that’s a nice machine. I use my little nutr machine everyday. ❤
I’ll definitely check out this machine- great video family!
Thanks Diane - I think they ran out of stock but should have more this week!
Thank you! So glad! Hope you were able to use our link!
Hazelnut!!🤤
Ohhhh - will try that sometime!!!!
Shout out from Southern California. I wonder if you could make flax or chia milk?
I've seen others do it! I just didn't give it a try in this one. Maybe I need a part two!
Loved this!! I really like walnut milk, but now I have some more to try. Did you use roasted or raw pumpkin seeds??
Also I’ve been watching since your first few videos, but if your doing a shout out ~ hello from Tara on Vancouver Island BC 💛
Hi Tara! Thanks for sticking with us this whole time!!! The pumpkin seeds were roasted, unsalted.
can you make cashew milk with an nut bag. I only have a reg blender and a food processor/
Yup - that's how I've made it before - this has less cleanup - but a blender works.
It would be great if you could do an update on how the machine is going for you. We are saving up for one.
I actually just used it in a video we're shooting now. But I can tell you - we use it all the time. Very happy with it. Don't forget to use my discount code to save you 10% - milkyplant.com/PBWITHJEREMY
The machine is a little on the pricy side, but it'll save you money in the long run - it's better for the environment and you just have so much more control over what milks you can use :)
Our milky plant arrived today, we got the two year anniversary price plus your discount code, so thanks loads for that.
Needless to say I have already made a couple of batches. Thanks again.
@@sallyharris9552 SO GLAD! Hope you love it like we do - and keep that pulp and throw it into cookies :)
Hello from Anne in Northern Colorado. Can you make soy milk if you precook the beans?
I think that's how you do it - but we didn't get that complicated here.
it's sold out! This looks so cool!
I know!! Waiting for an update from them - sorry about this!
Did you retry any of the so-so milks with adding sweetening like a date
We don't sweeten our milks generally
Oh my goodness, this video was so funny and I also warn not to consume beverages while watching - I almost spit my water out several times.😂 I wonder if large flaked coconut or coconut flesh would have yielded a nicer milk without all the extra clean up? I also wonder if white rice would have yielded a nicer flavored rice milk.🤔 Thanks for sharing the experiment. Congratulations on the crackers!!!
I wondered the same thing. And yes - I think white rice would work out better. I've also been told that cooking the rice in advance helps.
Great video. Sadly, the machine is out of stock. And when I click on "notify when available" I put in my email click notify me when the a small hand with 🚫 like that appears. Hopefully 10% discount will still be valid when inventory is back in stock.
Sorry about this! Just got the update - they will be back in stock later this week!
That was hysterical 😂😂😂
Glad you enjoyed!
Interesting milk tests.
Hello from Prescott AZ
Hi Kimberly!
Hi Jeremy just reading you can make oat milk in the vitamix if you have one, soak the oats overnight, then rinse the oats to remove the excess starch, stops it from going slimy. Then process for 30 40 mins. 1 cup oats to 3/4 cups of water.
Yup. I have a video showing that on my channel.
Hi Stephen from Australia
Hi Stephen!
Hi from Lisbon, Portugal! That machine seems so good, I would love to make my own milk and stop buying.
It's really worth it in the long run!!!
Which one of those was the thickest and creamiest that I could substitute in making a vanilla cream for a Napoleon?
Oh... what is a Napoleon? Creamiest would be: Oat, Macadamia, or Cashew
Agreed. Merle O'Neal just did a great video on the topic.
Im thinking to get the machine do you still like it after a few months
I do! We use it all the time!
Hi from Taranaki New Zealand.
Hey Patrice!!!
curious...were all these beans and grains suggestions as optiopns from this Milky Plant company? or did you just choose some? Just curious :)
Also - did you cook the soy bean milk after creating the milk? Thx!!
I picked the milks myself - and we haven't tried soy yet.
Wow, I don't even have an instant pot. We don't have that model on amazon. I really with i could afford all these gizmos.
An IP is a bit more affordable for sure. Check out the black friday deals!
White rice would have been a little tastier, and i imagine all would be better with a couple dates and or maple syrup depending upon your sweetness and allowance of natural sugars of which i am school both♥️ equal opportunities for dates and maple syrup in my food…
Agreed. My family scolded me plenty for using brown rice, don't worry!
great video. ty
Very welcome
Hi, Becky from Ontario ! I emailed you last week!
Hey Becky! Did I not write you back?
Do you have 3 trees plant milk in Canada? I think it's the best you can buy. It is expensive.
Thanks for this tip. Just looked them up - they have milk made of all types of plant ingredients. Will look for this!
I haven't seen them.
Have you tried Soy Milk in this machine? It usually takes more cooking so I was just wondering.
Not yet! On the list.
So entertaining…
no longer available to Canada? 😢
It ships to Canada. Did you get an error somewhere???
BTW I’m Patti, in Layton, Utah, I didn’t leave my name in my last comment 😊
this was hilarious 😂 I laughed out loud your daughter is such a character I love it and the scare joke of your son was golden hahahahaha
replayed the scare part like 8 times 😂😂
Oh - the banana bread?? :)
Where’s the hemp milk?! Another common milk
I made 12!!! Maybe I need a part 2? :) This was on my list, but didn't quite make the cut sadly!
@@pbwithjeremy no biggie. Ive never had it so I always wondered if it was any good. Quinoa sounds horrible. I can’t even imagine.
Can you give us a generic latte recipe? I've never had one.
Honestly, it's just half coffee, half milk - warm the milk and steam it - pout into coffee. That's it...
@@pbwithjeremy another stupid question: how does one "steam milk" after warming it? Thanks
Not stupid - honestly - you need a steaming wand of some kind. Also NOT essential. A frother is really the trick. Something like this would work and it's pretty affordable: amzn.to/3MSifFU
So, I guess you think Milky Plant is worth buying if you do drink a lot of plant milks regularly?
100% - even buying our plant-milk at Costco this still saves us money in the long run.
I think the pea and quinoa milk should be cooked first.
Why is that?
@@Sheri... eating raw legumes and quinoa can cause digestive problems and vomiting.
Ephraim will agree with you!!!
14:26 no it's becuz you didn't soak the almonds..
That’s for the tip!
Update, the Milky Plant is currently out of stock!!!!😮
Sadly - BUT they will have more in a day or so - sorry about this!!!
Cannot afford the 580 Canadian price, would be nice to have, but the amount of plant milk I use cannot justify the cost. It is coo! though
Depending how often you go thru plant milk, it can save a lot of money making your own. We make our own for
Agreed. As a family of four, we'll be saving money in just a few months of buying it - and it allows us to have milks we can't get elsewhere.
Oh .... can the machine do soy milk? This one has to be cooked
I haven't tried it myself, but I think it should...
