I miss Sammy! This comment is December 2023 Where is she at? I look forward to every new video you guys put out. I'm a treeguy too...like the BOSS. I feel like you are all family after watching every day. Merry Christmas to all...including Terry Juda grandpa, Roxy The whole fam damily Love Frank...from CANADA!
Nice to hear some decent tunes for a change instead of this same ole Kiwi stuff over and over on our radios. You ladies your magic, tripped onto your videos by accident it's nice to hear you talking in inches and feet rather than metrics something I never ever got my head around after our Govt switched over all of them years ago. Bet your parents are chuffed to know you young ladies can carry your end of the business ah. Ya I'll watch more of what you're doing, it's a change from the male domain that I'm used to, and I was a bushman from NZ many years ago since retired. Thanking you for sharing.
I watch a few log yard youtube channels, some of those fellas are pretty big and i see these girls handling these logs of people double their size like its ez peasey, always gives me a giggle.
My favorite thing about watching these videos is that no matter the topic….no matter the news of the day…..no matter my race, my gender, my political opinion, my strengths, my weaknesses, my religion, how my day went vs how I expected it to be…etc etc….I always learn. I learn about lumber, tools, family, business, nature, get reminded of innocence lost and found, critical thinking and above all a channel that never demands and yet requires one to be humble, honest and forthright…..backs it up with transparency. There are lots of channels I enjoy….there is only one I wake up a better person for have seeing. Thank you!
This is such an excellent video. I grew up in PA around Allentown. The shots driving through the hilly country tugged at the heartstrings. It's such a gift to watch your work and life. Know that whether the business succeeds (which I think it must) or fails, you're living a dream, and a uniquely American dream at that. Really! I did military service for 36 years expecting there were lives like yours worth defending. Bless you. Merry Christmas!
I just had 6000 board feet cut with a Woodmizer L40 Very impressive. Getting rid of large logs is very difficult in Washington State because the stationary mills only can take small logs and are few and far between. Hauling costs using a self loader are very high. Go Woodmiser. The perfect solution. No, This is not an ad paid by Woodmizer.
On my LT 40, I made a box on casters that follows the carriage and collects the sawdust. I made it easy to disconnect and wheel out to a bucket tractor where the whole thing can be carried out some where and dumped. Mine could be bigger, but I lack room. It saves shoveling.
I really enjoy the videos yall make, and your family is awesome. I'm here in South Carolina would like to see your operation someday..keep them coming.
Just a couple suggestions. Your log deck helps a lot over just logs on the ground but if you pull them back just a little so the log drops off them onto the loader they won't be rolling back. Sometimes it pays to have a short piece of tapered wood to slip behind the log as you roll it too. There is nothing more frustrating than to be rolling a curved log and not be able to get it rolled far enough for the next bite of the cant hook and have the log roll back right where you started from. Not all types of wood require the water constantly on the blade. I could sometimes go for days without water and then change to different species and need lots. Carry a tape measure when you examine logs to see what they can yield. Sometime eyeballing them will have you reject one that could have been used. Have a place it can clip to your control so it is always handy. Use it to decide where to make your first cut too so you don't throw away a board by having too big of a slab. If the customer comes by while you are sawing their material, hand them the tape measure to "check the accuracy of your work" as that often impresses them and encourages them to tell other people which then keeps orders coming in. When off loading from the mill onto a trailer, if at all possible have the trailer in line with the mill so the boards don't have to be turned. Your body will thank you at the end of the day.
I read through all the comments and didn't see that it was mentioned so here's my tip of the day. Put the cap back on the gas tank before the Boss catches you sawing with it off! I'm just saying because I did the same thing, once. Then I cleaned the tank. Great job girls, if my grandaughter ever watches this she'll take my LT35.
Wow you two are the best ever!! Carpenter on a horse farm in lex. KY. We need hemlock barn siding. Tell the boss I think you both do good work ang deserve a raise!
Made my Sunday evening. Thanks for sharing your time. Love your work ethic. Enjoy watching you do the same things that we do here. Good job as always 👍
You girls are the best workers I have ever seen! I wish our construction company. Beane Constitution, could fine good help like you girls, in N.C. Please keep up the good work. Please get your college Degree in Forest Trees or something.

Hiya Emerald, Happy Holidays to you all, especially the walking wounded! Never got into snowboarding but loved white water canoeing. Spent most of my time upsidedown though!!! Great video, I love the humour you all show, even the Boss Man. Have a wonderful new year, and stay safe, if you can, Steve...
Made my day. Your videos have gotten so good! These type of videos you make are my favorite. I like seeing you vlog it’s funny 😆 God bless you guys and see you next Sunday!
-20 here as I watch this. Envying your weather. Hoping your boss is happy every day for you. When snowboarding, I hate steep trails that are all iced up.
As usual you guys are doing a fine job. After watching this video I have a better sense of the yard layout, you might have had a request for just that... Glad the winter is mild there, maybe snow ih s better for skidding
Great new video. I personally liked the way you actually interacted with the camera instead of just narrating later, but I also understand that you probably get less done that way. Either way ever since I found your channel this year I look forward to every video, keep up the good work. Also I notice the Hebrew letters on your poetry pole, thought that was pretty cool.
Good job girl's. Hope y'all had a blessed Christmas and hope the new year will be better. Take care and have a blessed day and I'll see you on your next vidja.
I remember a guy doing a demo at a woodworking show nearly 20 years ago - he was using a router on MDF and insisted on wearing a mask. I've always followed that advice when cutting MDF.
That was a good video it didn't match the title, but it was good to hear my lumber jills talk. there is a channel called mule mountain sawmill his mill it against a wall also and he made a tool to help him remove his saw dust. it works good
Your hard work will pay off. Just one question. Why no gloves? I build lots of things from wood from chairs and swings to work benches and recently gotten into furniture restoration. I am subscribed and will remain so. Good luck to you.
My grandchildren live in Florida sooo I must move from Georgia to Florida to be near them! Otherwise I would prefer North, maybe alaska? To get some land with timbers and then I would by a small Wood Mizer to mill and build!
Maybe I missed the episode.. what do y'all do with the saw dust? There is so many different uses. Merry Christmas and much prosperity for your family in the new year and stay safe.
Good afternoon, a day later! Nice to watch some of the casual interactions and different operations in this video. Question - do you all think you and Sammy look alike? In the one Q&A video with you and Jade, I felt like I could see more difference between you two (other than height?).
What is caboda, and what is 1/4 sawing? Numbers 6:24-26, Leviticus 26. I would like to read all the poetry the girls have written, whatever you can show us 8:00. You guys made this video fun.
Can't believe you young lady's don't wear gloves . I'm a tuff old man or so l though? You work hard and you will succeed . any guys that chase after you better be up to the task .
How old are most logs you mill? Do they get dried after they are cut? I guess I am wondering if I am a customer would I be able to order say 2X8s the right away use them?
Is it all lassies that run your mill? I’m a fairly big guy and I find milling hard work. You must be determined since you are more slight. Good on you maybe I can learn something.
Merry Christmas to you all. Did your brother get the collarbone pinned and plated or does he have the joy of having a sling and strapping for the next month or so? Is it just you 2 girls currently working or is little bro and other sister off doing something else in the yard?
I really loved this episode cuz My girlfriend(Sammy) and you have so much interaction during your day and Sammy playing log roller guitar and other things is always funny to watch. Good to see you have fun while working. Nice video girls and Boss👌👌👌😎
Is theer any piece of equipment you would like to have, and what are you able to do with the burls you mentioned some time back.. Hope Santa was good to you guys and Happy New Year!

Sammy sure isn’t camera shy and definitely a free spirit. You ladies are serious and have good work ethic’s while having some fun. Keep it up .
Samantha has the right idea. Let the younger one do the tricky work and take all the blame! As the eldest of five, I applaud such cunning! 🙂

I was born/raised just north of where they are about 5-miles into NY from PA (off 15) and you're right about the hills. It is a beautiful area...
Wow, I haven't seen guys your age work that hard ever,, great job girls 👏

Huzzah!

Really like Sammy , is she friend or family . She sure knows the business and is not camera shy. Great video girls keep them coming.
Shoveling sawdust looks like a very fun job. Bet the three of you fight over who gets the shovel.
These girls are really awesome at running this machinery. I always say if you can’t have fun at work what is the point!
Looks like a great day spent with family!
INTELLIGENCE, and youthful !!!Good to see how well you work hard, together. 😊
Great video and edit.
Slicing up the big logs is hard work but rewarding.

I like your voice it's very calm.
good job from france and happy new year
Yo! LCLY, I wish y'all a belated Merry Christmas and thanks for the video. Keep em coming in the New Year. Here's to 2022.
The live video may better explain how ur day to day decisions take place according to customer demands. Really enjoyed this one as always. Stay safe
Merry Christmas to you all!!!
Thank you for doing a live video. Also have you thought about putting a conveyor behind the mill for the sawdust removal?
Happy New Year, good job with the video...and the wood!
Fantastic young people. Please wear dust protection. I have been a 'Tradie' in Australia & saw is worse than smoking. Walnut is particularly toxic.
I remember a guy doing a demo at a woodworking show nearly 20 years ago - he was using a router on MDF and insisted on wearing a mask. I've always followed that advice when cutting MDF.

Yeah, people get us confused all the time, we look very similar. Except for height of course.
@@lumbercapitallogyard How tall is Sammy? You and Jade are about the same height?

That Is fascinating that you study Kodokan Judo

No way it’s Bo and Buck at it again!
Now if they can just remember who is which! (chuckle)
@@patrickd2013 😂
Is Samantha a part of the family or just a good friend? I'm still trying to figure that out.
I wish some of my co-workers worked as hard as you ladies
you girls are amazing. luv to watch you run the equipment. I guess that sounds weird, doesn't it? :o) :o)
Yeah ,,,now we can see where Jade got her antics and happy go lucky pleasant attitude from ,,Samantha,,,and what a sweet and beautiful sister to have.
Merry Christmas girls
Good work dear stay blessed stay safe happy new year thumb up
