I think I mentioned before that I drove trucks from 76 to 04. To get from Sydney to Torbanlea would have been impossible to get to legally back in the day. Also most of the loads were tarped which was time consuming. The trucks although not as powerful were quicker, no speed limiters until 1993. I am amazed at the changes to the roads, being able to bypass many towns has got to be a bonus. Love your videos.
I tip my hat to everyone that used to dri e back in the day I don't think I would survive now if I had to drive the same and there should be a bypass opening soon for gympie which will be good

Sth sent via Steve Irwin Way at Caloundra off ramp... Quicker to walk Then we have Evening around Bald Hills just after Strathpine Rd afternoon peak Nth another close for a hour serious rear end crash two 4.5 t trucks what a mess, Thankfully for me I am out the big rigs, health, body and age caught up. Reason I am in that cheeky little renault van.. I avoided the big mess via Old Gympie Rd, Tunnel Ridge Rd up to Palmwoods, Then Wide Bay with my medical esky..
Yeah that's my big problem at the moment I'm trying to change is the health part but I'm working on it and yeah I heard about that it's crazy, you think by now they would have better plans in place for such events hey?
