The Admiral smiles, a look of pride on his face. "It's our latest model of battleship. Her designation is the EDF Starblazer."
A worried look crosses the aliens face. "Star . . . Blazer? Are your ships really capable of destroying stellar bodies?"
A startled look crosses the Admirals face before he smiles. "No no no. That's beyond our technology. FAR beyond it. The ship just gets its name from a cartoon."
The alien looks confused. "What is a toon and how does a ground mobile transportation device do it, this toon?"
The Admiral was temporarily taken about by the further misunderstanding. "Not a vehicle and toon isn't a thing exactly. It's called cartoon, they are a audio/video presentation for kids designed to entertain them. A few centuries back one of these cartoon series was called StarBlazers. This ship was named after that series, hence the Earth Defense Force vessel Starblazer.
Understanding dawns on the Alien. "Are all your Battleships named after car toons?"
The Admiral scratches he cheek looking a little embarrassed. "Well, we had to start getting a little creative with the names."

theoretically, the gravity generated by space ships depending on the class and size are lower than the planet of origin. that being said different species and or race has it's own gravitational adaptivity.

I love how you say theoretically and use it incorrectly to lend authority to an opinion that's completely unsubstantiated. A hypothesis is an idea that can be tested, and when it's proven accurate it's combined of other proven hypotheses it becomes a theory which is tested.

Where is this stolen from? Description says it's written by the channel owner, but right under it cites the fair use. Everything is AI, the voice, the pictures, and in the comments the channel can't string 2 english words together, even though the story itself is in normal English.

The Peacebringer was a smaller ship that brought the alien diplomatic team to the human ship. It docked inside the human ship. So why, on the tour of the ship, we're they able to see Pracebringer in space next to the human ship.
Authors need to keep track of such things so a not to make simple errors like this.

I like these stories. Some are much better than others. They are just AI creations with all of the limitations that come with a new and limited technology. I do believe that with time, they will improve. This particular story is just OK, not very well written. This seems similar to a story made up and composed by a child. Entertaining none the less. An decent AI could churn out hundreds of these a day, hence the explosion of these online lately. I do like them though.

    • @SmokePoppa
      @SmokePoppa Месяц назад

You can spot the AI generated content pretty easily. Especially when it uses Chat GPT because there's an extreme bias towards certain words, patterns, and concepts which come from training data and that's before you get into the extreme political and DEI biases. For the purpose of developing and drafting, there's a good chunk of authors who've learned how to use AI to draft and then the human polishes it. I'd venture that's what this story is.

Clearly there’s still a long way to go to have AI convert speech to text, although it’s been available as a relatively reliable alternative for a decade or two. Heck it’s been available on MS Windows, especially when using a program so old I can’t remember the name.
For students a decent speech/picture to text/diagram there are various versions of these abilities many of which were available in the days of Pentium III CPU’s from intel and much less memory (RAM usability around 32 Megabytes) and basic text scanners.
That was in the bad old days (80-90’s) of ludicrously expensive, non-upgradeable Apple Macs (no change there), limited, or the relatively increasing monopoly of Microsoft which was brought down because American politicians don’t like monopolies, especially when those same politicians aren’t getting any of their usual kickbacks.
There were plenty on alternatives for GUI’s besides MS, but that’s when the entire system was all on a few 180kb 5.25” FDD’s, or when Windows v2 came on several 720k 3.5” FDD’s, but there was also DR-DOS, PC-DOS, and others to choose from. All those earlier versions of hardware (I had an IBM portable, c/w 8” green screen, and a pair of 8” FDD’s with enough aluminium support to keep them tracking accurately! The keyboard made up the lid, so whilst it was “portable” it wasn’t remotely like anything we now take for granted, and you needed to attend a gym if you wanted to carry it further than 50yds, but lumbar spinal injuries were likely (assuming your company could afford the hardware and the software combined.
Sorry about the reminisce’s of this old guy that learned programming in 1975-1978 onto punched paper tape/cards, using a telex style unit with no screen and results being printed by the local council offices held the mainframe, and printed out onto the old style green line wide punched edge sheets. CESIL and FORTRAN were used in schools as was COBOL by the time I had joined the RM Commando’s (extra A-level in computer science put you on the Officer fast track (but as our younger brothers, the USMC will know, fast tracking an Officer doesn’t mean what it sounds like. It’s just a way of ensuring potential yo-yo nods do everything faster than anyone else).
Perhaps it’s the way the software was written but all of the AI narrations have the same issue with translation of English into text. I can’t speak for other languages but I’d be surprised if anyone can claim anything approaching better than 95% accuracy in any language.

5000 people on a giant ship. That must be a skeleton crew. You're fat if it's a giant ship that that's just a skeleton crew. Cause I have a drink if I have a giant ship. It's gonna be 900000 people on it. That will not be and that will be an Alabama skeleton cruise too. I'll big. My ship would be if I built one. You have 1 person for every 24. Yes. Must be a very small ship
