I can honestly tell everyone, that, every EBS combo I've tried is impressive! You wouldn't believe it if you don't tried for yourself. I've worked at a music shop in Portugal (representing EBS at that time) and they had all avaible models by that time, but also most of the Heads. My dream id to have a 1rst generation Fafner (we also had all sorts of combos, cabs and speakers), but, the most impressive were the Combos! You can hear an EBS combo in the 'Peste & Sida' record (Tòxico is the name of the album).The sound technician xas blown away by the EBS combo, altough we had, at our disposition Ampegs, Trace Elliots, Fender ans Marshall Bass amps. The EBS combo (can't remember the right reference but it had 2 -10 or 12s a tweeter and a bass port (hole)) was the most versatile and the lighter one to move around too. Great to studio recordings (it had all the shenigans on the back, the D.I. circuit, etc), home recordings (you can have great Bass sound at low volume levels), and is great for touring too (small places, transport,etc). With 'EBS', in this case, size don't matters! You can be sure you'll have a great sound! Sorry for the lenghty message, but I was impressed. And no, I'm not sponsored by EBS, and I don't work for them, but people need to try them and know such amps exist!!!
Sold!! in 1 minute 23 seconds. I really don’t EVER want another grainy amp again. One can always ADD saturation even a line out to a valve unit should you want! But I want the CLEANEST SOUND I CAN GET. Thank you!!
I had the opportunity to try the Reidmar 500 head a few months ago and found the fan too noisy. What about the Magni 502? I had a Reidmar 270 head long ago and there was no fan problem...
I have a Markbass Marcus Miller combo 60 and it’s killer for 60 watts. But that EBS sounds so full, not muddy like some combos. I’m keeping a eye on EBS. Like it!🤨🎶👍🏾
I love EBS for jazz/modern basses. It has a transparent sound that is NOT sterile to my ears _(as opposed to i.e. Carvin; Hartke; etc;)_ I have the session 30 that I play my 76J with while practicing _(like chocolate and peanut butter man…also Looking to pick up the Reidmar 750 for big gigs)_ I guess the only rival to ‘this direction’ in tone would be the Aguilar.. never used Ag though…am I correct? And if so what are the subtle differences?
It's so damn expensive for a combo made in China. IF they made them in Sweden then the price may be justified but €1300 for a combo made in China, no way.
The 10" La Voce woofers themselves account for at least $500 of that price. They're high-end, hi-fi woofers. Also have a really long throw. Tested this amp at NAMM with a 5-string and the woofers were really moving. Downside: No flares on the front port. Lots of chuffing noise at high woofer excursions.
Hi Gregor been a subscriber to ur channel for some time,been learning to play bass for 2-3 years and I love it, but unfortunately when covid turned everybody’s live upside down, unfortunately and sadly I had to sell my bass and amp to make ends meet, my wife got sick was off work for some time, my hours got cut by almost half, I have not been able to afford to get another bass or amp, all the money we had was used trying to keep a roof over ur heads, I really am sorry to ask, is there any way you could possibly help me, I’ve asked other people if they could possibly help me, but never got any response, if you see this I would love to hear from you either way, thank you,🙏🏼

The upcoming new MB121 is unter 10kg w/ 300 Watts, 500 Watts version is 12kg...but unfortunalety also no line in.
