My stitching buddette is Cindy in Indiana. We met through a cross stitch smalls page. I had lost my needle in the carpet which always throws me into a panic. I had tried a magnet, my phone light, even my wake eyed son. No luck. So i posted on the page i would give a reward to the one who gave the tip that helped me find it. Her tip was-turn off the lights then use your phone light. Let me tell you it sparkled in the carpet like a Diamond. I mailed her a stitchy reward and we have been long distance buddies ever since. Ps: i LOVED the rain portion of your video.
I loved seeing the Bent Creek designs. They’ve always been one of my favorites. Your shop got me started on Ewe and Eye, Homespun Elegance and Bent Creek years and years ago. Thank you, Shelly.
I would stitch it for my friend of 40 years. We met at a church Bible study and connected over out live if crafting. She asked my to teach her how to cross stitch. The pattern she picked was a Precious Moments on waste canvas on a diaper bag. A very ambitious first project but she did an amazing job. We have stitched together all these years and have been to many retreats together.
I met my stitching friends by attending my first retreat. I ended up sitting at a table with people who live near me. We have since kept in touch with our stitching projects on Instagram. Sweet friendship refreshes the soul is a fun pattern. Love ❤️ your patriotic display! Love the ☔️ rain! Utah needs rain desperately! It was fun to watch. I love thunder and lightning ⛈ storms!
We could use the rain downpour here in Arizona! Haven't experienced one in quite awhile! 110 degrees plus! love the patriotic stitching. beautiful fabric thank you!
I would stitch the 'A Sweet Friendship' for my friends Dana & Betty!!! I love the way you show the fabric along with the corresponding DMC... it really makes it better for color judgement!!! I ordered a piece of fabric from somewhere, it was called Ocean, when I received it the color should have been called Denim! I'm using it anyway, but not what I was expecting! & WOW, I can see how that rain would deter anyone from venturing out!!!
What a fun video….until that rain at the end 😩😆. I love that pattern! I would stitch it to remind me of my friends Erin & Ellen who I met at StitchCon and text with everyday now!
I just had dinner with a new stitchy friend in y town I would stitch it for her! Her name is Donna and we both love so many of the same designers and have the same charts and watch the same floss tubers!! Oh you need a map could sign when they come visit!
Oh my…I was just in Dayton from So. California to visit my brother and his wife! I know you are about 3 hours northeast. So hopefully I will get back there again sooner than later. You are on my list. Not much in LNS’s where I live. I love sound of rain…not much of that here either..🤷🏼⛈☔️
I’ve done many Bent Creek Zipper kits, love them!!! My stitch buddy lives states away, but we still chat about stitching daily! :) It would be fun to take our dogs out foe breakfast!
I agree with you about fireworks and the effect that it has on pets. On the 4th of July I planned on taking our dog outside at about 8:30 because I thought I would get her outside before the fireworks started since it was not even dark outside yet. Well, I no sooner got her out the door and someone shot off a series of fireworks that scared the daylights out of her and she immediately bolted for the door and I could not begin to convince her to do her business so we could go back inside. My husband came home a few hours later and he tried to take her out and she wouldn't even willingly go through the door of the apartment into the hallway. He was finally able to get her out in the hallway but again, when he got to the door to go down the stairs to the outside, she put the brakes on and he ended up having to carry her through the door, down the steps, and out the second door. She then immediately went to the bathroom and wanted to come right back inside. And we dealt with this for well over a week or more. Even now, if you take her out and she can see that it is dark, she still is extremely hesitant about going.
