  • Third place winner of the UC Master Gardener Program Search for Excellence (SFE) will present on their winning project Cross Pollination, Growing Abilities: Cultivating Independence and Community in the Garden. Developed by the UC Master Gardeners of El Dorado County alongside CalFresh Healthy Living, UCCE, and the Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises (MORE), this garden is a nurturing ground for life skills, self-esteem, and community integration. It stands as a symbol of equal opportunity and inclusivity, providing enriching experiences for adults with disabilities supported by MORE, fostering a sense of belonging and accomplishment among all who tend to it. SFE recognizes projects that exemplify the incredible impacts programs are making across the state.
