Which is understandable, because I think the Dragon Balls were used like....4 or 5 times back to back with humongous tasks being asked of them. I only remember two things from Sagas Vegeta constantly going "GALICK GUNHAAAAAAAA" because for some reason they'd have two voice lines overlap when he charged it sometimes. And the game's extremely liberal use of combo breakers that only the enemy seemed to, and would, pull off the moment you landed even a single punch on them. It would make even the simplest boss fights become a monumental task.
@@brotbrotsen1100 most likely but it was kind of infuriating because they were finally letting us watch those shows legally and then they copyright claim themselves so those videos were down for a bit
This channel is a hidden gem, I love these videos because they appeal to me and apparently a lot of other people! Keep doing what you're doing because I love this content
Don't feel about about wanting Vegeta to win, bumbs, despite how shlocky Dragonball can get at times, Vegeta's a character so amazing he's got one of the only two redemption arcs that actually work, and is the one everyone tries to emulate. (Which inevitably fails because they try and do in 1-2 episodes when Vegeta's took 90% of his time in the original series)
...The other one's Zuko, right? Only edgy violent princes get redemption arcs. Vegeta's redemption arc was so good because you see him slowly infiltrated by niceness and friendship while he's working with the heroes for appropriately villainous reasons. He doesn't decide to try to be better out of nowhere, he's slowly molded into someone who CAN be a better person. While on the whole it's schlock, that is some characterisation right there.
Vegeta kinda lost me when he turned evil again in the Buu saga because... he wanted to be strong enough to beat Goku? So he just kills a bunch of random people
@@getthegoonst's more nuanced than that; Vegeta’s change isn’t a straight line. Its externalizing his inner conflict where he's spent years living peacefully on Earth despite never making peace with his dark past. Vegeta is pretty much living a life that's antithetical to everything he has learned, to the culture ingrained within him evident by Majin Vegeta.
I played all 3 of these games over the years. Here's my thoughts: The 1st one: so forgettable that I can't remember the name and I only remembered it because you talked about it Sagas: boring and repetitive as heck Ultimate: I hate this game so much!! It was such a freaking disappointment
me and my best friend in elementary school loved dragon ball and i remember playing sagas with him. i had no good games as a kid and even i knew that was awful. i was disappointed
3:39 THE XBOX 360 WAS RAD AND I WON'T HEAR ANY ARGUMENTS OTHERWISE! The PS3 may or may not have been even radder, but it's like comparing flavors of ice cream - does it even matter if one's better? THEY'RE BOTH DELICIOUS!
Yeah, it's quirky as heck and wears the trappings of that type of card-arcade game pretty openly, but I find it amusing and quaint in its own ways, and certainly feel it doesn't match up anywhere near the level of the stuff shown here.
I mean I do like the game and it's chaotic as heck energy, but the actual gameplay and strategy is not really all that great. I do kind of prefer the hero coliseum in Xenoverse 2 because of it's more varied strategies and the overall flow of the combat. However as a dragon ball experience they went buck wild with the character picks and I will always love that part of it.
i dont find heroes that bad. especially since world mission has no actual microtransactions to it. all money can be earned in-game just fine. plus it introduces forms for characters i really, really want in xenoverse.
Ultimate Tenkaichi... man I never had such a love hate relationship to a game as much as this one. I thought it was going to be like BT3 because it had Tenkaichi in the title. But when I saw the roster, I was disappointed. The main draw of BT3 for me was the sheer number of characters you had to play with. For crying out loud BT3 had young Chi Chi for petes sakes! My disappointment turned sour when I started playing the game. It was the most repetitive fighting game I have seen. I hated the clash system, because most of the time the opponent was going to win them and in hero mode that was infuriating. The only way I beat the game was by using the Spirit Booster feature with bypasses the clash. But guess what, the more you use Spirit Booster, the less time you get to use it in the future. Because of this most fights were just, charge ki, go spirit booster, build up and use super and ultimate attacks, rise and repeat until the opponent is dead. Does that sound like fun to you? The big bosses were definably a treat and a way to break up the repetitive action, there not good. If it wasn't for the fact, you can pause the game and just barely see the button prompts behind the pause screen, I would have traded the game in. All that being said, I love the fact you can create your own character, even though the options were really limited, and their story is very under cooked alongside one major plot hole. (Ultimate Shenron comes from the Black Star Dragon Balls. Once there used the planet they were used on blows up after one year unless they are returned. A real flick in the nuts for the Hero character.) It's because of Ultimate Tenkaichi that I believe we would not have gotten Xenoverse 1 or 2 which truly took advantage of creating a custom character. Even though Ultimate Tenkaichi is not a good game in and off itself, I do appreciate it for the groundwork it laid for future installments of DBZ video games.
I unfortunately have BT3 on ps2... and for most of the game, it refuses to load anything! I tried 2 or 3 versions and each one got endless loading screens in the same spots. Please tell me if it's the ps2's fault or if it's the discs? I really want to see the randomly added characters in the roster. I need to see if friggin' Mercenary Tao is a playable character!
One thing you didn't mention about Sagas: It is bloody buggy as well. One RUclipsr ran into a glitch where after beating 19, Dr. Gero kept shooting Goku until he died and he had to restart. This happened six times.
I remember my stepbrother ordering budokai tenkaiichi 2 for christmas when i was like 16 yars old. They sent Sagas instead, and his reaction was "i am so sorry."
God I loved Sagas as a kid. It was great! Mostly because "And YOU get a Masenko and YOU get a Masenko" never got old for me. Would I play it and enjoy it now? Probably not. But I did enjoy.
Best way I've heard Ultimate referred to as Is that it plays The way People that aren't dragonball fans See the anime. The same thing over and over again with little to no variation and no investment in either the characters or the fights. But unlike the anime or manga, Playing the game doesn't actually help you enjoy it any better as you go on
I love sagas, I’ve not seen any dragon ball, but my friend loves it and he knows that the one thing I love more than not knowing about dragon ball is dumb bad games, and we played it in two player together and since charging up a move slowed down time for Everyone, I exclusively did that
18:30 Confirmed footage of Gohan repeatedly kicking Nappa in the Dragonballs. And Vegeta kicking Recoome I'm the eraser gun 20:49 Was gonna do more but that'd be boring
First, I want to apologize for you having to endure UT. I played Sagas. Beat it in a day. Absolutely hated it! Sold it to a friend for $20. They never paid me, but I was just happy to be rid of it! Also, the only DBZ game I had on the GBA was some card game as a Christmas present. I never figured out how to play it!
I love the giddiness at the beginning it mirrors my own experience. My parents didn't care what I watched but DragonBall almost always started coming on late at night when I supposed to be in bed so I'd ninja my way into the living room and try to watch it at low volume.
Oh boy, Dragon Ball Z sagas, been a long time since i heard that name I still remember the Cell fight, i never heard of a level skip code and i was too stupid to look it up online, so i just gave up the game, the fact that you can only damage him while on SS2 and the bar builds so, SO slow made me say "aight, fuck this game" At that time i couldn't fathom the fact that games could be bad (idk if i was lucky enough to not buy a bad game or my taste was just garbage), and i tought for a moment that there could be something wrong with me, glad to know that people remember that game with resentment
I actually didn't know that was the game showing the scenes like that, I genuinely thought it was you making those edits so you wouldn't get copyright striked
Wait what? Webfoot? Like the same company that published the original version of Deadly Rooms of Death on PC and almost screwed over the actual creators when they wanted to self-publish it and, to date, the original Version 1.0 can't be distributed legally? ...Can't say it surprises me they made a BAD Dragon Ball GBA fighting game, it moreso surprises me they got to make a Dragon Ball GBA fighting game in the first place.
6:43 so they wanted to have 2D sprites digitized from 3D models based on 2D animation adapting comic-book artwork? That sounds like an incredibly stupid and pointless idea.
I found it shitty how some people say Infinite world is shit either just say it was rushed for being a "bad" version of b3 while ignoring every single positive that the game had then b3.
@bruhford3954 Yeah, I didn't like the confusing level up and stats of Budokai 3 and Infinite World had extra special missions, with even more becoming unlocked after the main story ended with SS4 Gogeta VS Omega Shenron. Also, the game had cutscenes in it. Budokai 3 had no such thing minus the opening cinematic
When the Buu's Fury music first started playing and you were talking about how the Game Boy couldn't handle some games I was in awe thinking you were about to talk down on one of the best RPGs on the Gameboy... I'm glad to see I was dead wrong and you, instead, talked craps about one of the WORST gameboy games imaginable. Thank you, Sir McFumbles.
Ngl, i don't hate Ultimate Tenkaichi. I think the graphics are awesome and I love the character customization. The gameplay is straight up bad, though. The cutscenes aren't good either. Idk, sometimes I replay it from time to time
20:33 The irony? New combos do *way* more damage. Easily the most damage in the game and most of the time it knocks the enemy down. If they get up, you can already be punching at them and effectively stunlock (not quite as reliable until you get guardbreak abilities but still much faster than hitting 2 buttons all the time). Also, you can teleport when locked on to an enemy, allowing you to dodge basically anything. Oh, and in some levels (not all because whatever) finishing combos on enemies will send them flying so far they'll instantly die. The 2nd player is always a different character from the show, like Piccolo, which is why he's in the game...Except for boss battles...You missed out on the greatest torture of all not playing co-op. With all this in mind, please petition for DBZ Sagas to be taken out of this video and instead placed in "*5* of the Worst Dragon Ball Games Ever."

Vegeta constantly going "GALICK GUNHAAAAAAAA" because for some reason they'd have two voice lines overlap when he charged it sometimes.
And the game's extremely liberal use of combo breakers that only the enemy seemed to, and would, pull off the moment you landed even a single punch on them. It would make even the simplest boss fights become a monumental task.
*_Oh God! All these years, I still hear it...!_*
19:57 You may joke about that but that actually legitimately happened
What? Explain, good sir.
@@freakfoxvevo7915 Toei has a channel for their Toku hero shows and they copyright struck it even though it's their own channel

5:00 This shot, in this trailer, is the GREATEST THING my eyes have ever seen.
Ah yes, the most iconic battle of the Frieza Saga; Frieza VS. some rando who looks totally lost!
Here's my thoughts:
The 1st one: so forgettable that I can't remember the name and I only remembered it because you talked about it
Sagas: boring and repetitive as heck
Ultimate: I hate this game so much!! It was such a freaking disappointment
I enjoyed UT
Thumbnail Has Dokkan Art, yet no mention of Dokkan or Dragon ball Gacha in general? That just plain Cold
me and my best friend in elementary school loved dragon ball and i remember playing sagas with him. i had no good games as a kid and even i knew that was awful. i was disappointed
he has suffered just as much as super eyepatch wolf at this point, i'm sorry for ya man XD
Calling Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission an “honorable mention” yet alone anything close to a “bad game” is an unforgivable sin.
@@cvalion409 at least heroes has comprehensible passive skills and units you can actually reasonably acquire in game
i dont find heroes that bad. especially since world mission has no actual microtransactions to it.
all money can be earned in-game just fine. plus it introduces forms for characters i really, really want in xenoverse.
Im suprised namco never made World Heroes into a free to play app game. It even has a Gatcha system for cards.
Cool dude better appear in the next Bumbles Mcrumbles with him getting eliminated right after going super sayian.
A real flick in the nuts for the Hero character.)
It's because of Ultimate Tenkaichi that I believe we would not have gotten Xenoverse 1 or 2 which truly took advantage of creating a custom character.
The universe has a weird sense of humor... Recommending this to me now, of all times.
One thing you didn't mention about Sagas: It is bloody buggy as well. One RUclipsr ran into a glitch where after beating 19, Dr. Gero kept shooting Goku until he died and he had to restart. This happened six times.
DBZ for Kinect was literally just Ultimate Tenkaichi retooled into a Kinect game.
‘Yo Son Goku And His Friends Are Back doesn’t count!’
Then what about Plan To Eradicate The Super Saiyans?
And why's it not count even? It's a pretty decent reunion special type thing, and it's pretty substantial.
Best way I've heard Ultimate referred to as Is that it plays The way People that aren't dragonball fans See the anime. The same thing over and over again with little to no variation and no investment in either the characters or the fights. But unlike the anime or manga, Playing the game doesn't actually help you enjoy it any better as you go on
I love sagas, I’ve not seen any dragon ball, but my friend loves it and he knows that the one thing I love more than not knowing about dragon ball is dumb bad games, and we played it in two player together and since charging up a move slowed down time for Everyone, I exclusively did that
I love super world mission! I’m addicted to it currently. It’s so much deeper than you think once you get into it

As someone who played both Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Raging Blast 2 religiously, I can definitely say that BT3 is in fact, better.
One of the hidden gems of this video is the DBS Card Game cards during the intro-outro segways. Love that game.
That sucks it’s all about the screams lol.
19:59 Fun fact, they did that to themselves one time.
Oh boy, Dragon Ball Z sagas, been a long time since i heard that name
I still remember the Cell fight, i never heard of a level skip code and i was too stupid to look it up online, so i just gave up the game, the fact that you can only damage him while on SS2 and the bar builds so, SO slow made me say "aight, fuck this game"
At that time i couldn't fathom the fact that games could be bad (idk if i was lucky enough to not buy a bad game or my taste was just garbage), and i tought for a moment that there could be something wrong with me, glad to know that people remember that game with resentment
I did the same as a kid, sneaking around watching anime I wasn't allowed. Definitely relatable
Same, but for me, it was Total Drama Island.
OH on "protect capsule Corp" mission, if you miss a Kamehameha, it can hit the CC building and instant fail the mission, you can blow them up too
I actually didn't know that was the game showing the scenes like that, I genuinely thought it was you making those edits so you wouldn't get copyright striked
I can’t wait for xenoverse 2’s dlc 66 where fu gets caught and given the death penalty for his unending list of war crimes
Wait what?
They actually made 2 good games afterwards on Gba, legacy of goku 1 and buus fury
Ultimate Tenkaichi looks like the prototype of Jump Force visually
6:43 so they wanted to have 2D sprites digitized from 3D models based on 2D animation adapting comic-book artwork? That sounds like an incredibly stupid and pointless idea.
Happy new year, what a way to kick it off

Lmao petition for it to be moved from top 3 worst to top 5 worst?

I recently got big into Dragonball in mid 2021. While I don't really have much to say about the games since the closest I've gotten to playing a DB game is watching some FighterZ, that game certainly looks fun. I'd go into my thoughts on some stuff in the show but if there's one group who hates people of the same communities different opinions.......actually that list is pretty long but I'm pretty sure Dragon Ball is there somewhere.

Calling the Wii a "last-gen" system compared to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is the most baffling thing about this video. It's like, you may as well call the Sega Dreamcast a fifth-gen console at that point.
