    Playing 35 years now, just bought THE guitar. Pretty sure it was pulled out of another dimension. Sometimes a great instrument can actually make you better. This one did.

    I started playing guitar when one of my best friends got early onset dementia. He was a drummer, and I got ahold of alot of metal and rock vinyl when his family sold the house we used to hang out in. In some way, I felt like I was filling his shoes by putting music out there where he couldn't. I quickly got into metal and made a lot of progress playing lead guitar. Lately, I've been trying to focus more on rhythm guitar. The pull-offs and hammer-ons and 7 chords you play in your videos have been a huge inspiration, and ever since I saw your ex-factor cover I've been on a big R&B wave. Right now my Schecter C-7 is my favorite guitar because I'll always love chugging on the low B-string and ripping solos. But my Mexican strat is quickly getting up there as my favorite. Anyway, thanks for making such amazing music man. Rock on🤘🏽

    My guitar journey. Got an acoustic for Christmas many years ago. Realized i play left handed, tried to learn to play backwards and gave up. Sent guitar to kumbi 🤣 but i hope to get a left handed acoustic soon to learn on. But i just love the look. The crafting of guitars is just beautiful to me.

    I’m 2,5 years in to learning guitar(on and off but got a teacher recently). Pretty much a beginner still but I’ve been seeing some progress. I love geeking out about guitars and gear. Really enjoyed this video. Rn I own a bullet squier hss(my 1st and only guitar). My absolute dream guitar is a 2017 Fender American Elite Strat in ocean turquoise metallic. I would also love to own a godin or Ibanez nylon, and a jazz bass but can definitely not justify even touching those at my level haha but one day 🤞🏾

    I've been playing guitar since before I could fully speak and I just recently started singing. I'm a Gibson ES-335 guy but I play Epiphones because of the price. I love the sound of the Silver Sky too, though it's also too expensive. Maybe at some point I'll get a 1960's ES-355. That through my twin reverb is my dream rig. I love seeing your videos! It's always some awesome playing.

    Picked up the guitar about 3 months now. I play on a Squier Affinity Telecaster Deluxe with a color that feels quite similar to your D'Angelico(very slightly) and I felt attracted to it because of the color(for the most part). Like you i never loved the shaped of the strats, untill i saw the Ibanez AZES Series. But i think it will be better for my wallet to just get better at playing and think of changing later (:

    I have been playing since 2016 so not so many years, I have one acoustic guitar and I feel my skill is not the best because I dont dedicate enough time to the craft, when you are a hobbyist musician, life sometime's gets in the way. Especially when music is your therapy sometime's you only turn to it when you are in a rut which is not the best way to foster the craft.

    My favorite of your collection would have to be the PRS Strat! I've been wanting an electric for some time now!! In my mind it'll be easier to pick up & stay consistent bc my acoustic is just so bulky for my liking. I play an Epiphone DR. Still in the beginning stages. I didn't realize until now - it's been about 6 years 🥴 since I sat with it and really enjoyed a session. I did tune it for the first time last week and added 15 mins a day to my new schedule! I'd enjoy videos on warmups and how you practice to stay fluent. LOL. My fingers hurted - yes HURTED this last time I played. I'd appreciate videos on tips or tricks - like the plucking you do, creating your own style, study ASMR - videos of you looping some of your playing would be dope - just an hour of your strings! A video on a daily practice regimen for beginner/intermediates would also be appreciated! Thanks for sharing and being open to doing guitar videos!!!!!!!!!!

      Wdym by scales? For a basic start try running the major minor scales and their respective pentatonics. Also try to throw in modes after. It helps it play along to a backing track within any key.

    I'm trying to play weekly from home, having practical sessions, applying theory from lessons online and local communities.
    It's really uncomfortable still but probably not as much as it could be playing steel strings - mines a Nylon Acoustic.
    Would be good to have hacks on how NOT to look down often when playing?
    Overall though, really informative tut. and great to hear of cross-pollination of genres, new ventures on your part. Thanks!

      @mooseymoose 2 года назад

      @@PhetoloP Hard to go wrong with Ibanez. It’s a great time to be a beginner compared to when I started. There are infinite RUclips videos aimed at beginners. My advice is simple though; always listen closely to what is actually coming out of your guitar because it’s easy to sort of hear what you *wanted* to play. Best to record yourself and listen again. Also play with as much feeling and attention as you can. It’s like building muscles.
