In the 2018 version of the core rulebook, there is impassable terrain. The examples it uses are lakes and lava pits. "No figure can enter or be deployed into impassable terrain."

That is true but it is never used in a historical SAGA game unless you are doing a special scenario

I like the idea of walls yust for the lulz. As other small stuff may just make the board nicer. Greets from Germany. Love ur vids!

Thanks! That is something I could've delved into further. My bud's board uses wooden walkways in his Danish settlement. No special rules necessary. They just look cool! Same goes for barrels, livestock, and the rest!

Wisco Tabletop I can send you some of my made things that are on the board 'for the lulz'. Maybe you can make a video about it...Just an idea if you say yes how to send you the pics?

    So there's no forested marshes?

Not officially it would seem! Certainly nothing stopping your group from playing with a marsh that also blocks line of sight!

We have been using the terrain setup rules from Cross & Crescent as we preferred them to the new style rules.
I've also been making use of the mercenary Scout unit with my Pagan Rus as their ability to remove the movement penalty of terrain for other units is great for launching charges from woods and they add some shooting to the warband.
I made up a set of area terrain when I started back into gaming, it's much quicker and easier to do than I thought it would be so no excuses for everyone not to make a set !

Interesting, I do like the simplicity of the new rules. Your battlefield is more predictable IMO, which has its pros and cons (such as considering some Scouts). The old way was great at getting the terrain dispersed evenly across the board I must say. Thanks for sharing your stuff! That's a great looking set you've put together. I hope to share some of my own goodies soon! Also, those Wrath of Kings figs are phenomenal! I haven't seen that faction yet.

Thanks. The Wrath of Kings models are great, it's just such a pain trying to get them in the UK as they seem to have no proper EU supply chain, at least it saves my wallet from imploding though.
