Just watched it today, up there with perfect blue and silent voice as one of the best anime movies of all time. Possibly one of the best animated movies ever.
100% agree its a masterpiece. I had a chance to see it since i happened to be in japan mid july when it was still in theaters. I also dont speak japanese but was able to really enjoy it anyway. Its beautifully animated and voice acted and I loved the direction. I was able to understand most of it from what i remembered from the manga. I cried at 2 different points too. Also one thing to add is that the movie isnt the minimum length requirement to be shown in american theaters, so it unfortunately might only be released on streaming services here unless theres a longer version.
Watched it Sunday and I was blown away- the movie was everything I wanted and so much more. Definitely cried, definitely laughed, and will definitely be making my art-major friends watch once it drops on crunchyroll
I remember watching the trailer in theaters with a friend for Howl’s Moving Castle. And this was the first film where I went to watch it twice for myself. I haven’t felt this much emotions since watching Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind back in 2020. This film is amazing for any creative & is the first film to make me want to go back & create content again! I can’t wait for the physical release & gonna read the manga very soon too!!!
I saw it last weekend and i walked out very satisfied how simple and highly it was. After i swore not to give my money to any Hollybroke films, im giving it to South Korea and Japan and they do give souvenirs. Now I'm anticipating for the new Chainsaw Man film release.
I've read it, and the story was was simple but effective. My only problem with it was that the two main characters look too alike in the manga, and I'm hoping that the movie will fix that. I can't wait to watch it
The movie definitely fixes that if that was a problem for you, they are very distinct from each other in the movie. They tend to wear very different color clothing from each other
Yeah… I could tell when editing this vid that it looked a bit weird 😅. On my main channel I never show my face at all, so I’m pretty bad on camera. Ty for the advice, and hopefully, I’ll eventually get the hang of it!

Sadly that might be the case. Sucks because everyone deserves a chance to experience Look Back in theaters
