I beg to differ with these commentators regarding Kate's dress being "simple". It was anything but simple. It was pure class. Regal, timeless and perfect.
+Kristy Cheung I thought they were horrid and couldn't believe anyone would don them, especially that camel colored one; tres gauche! Victoria Beckham, on the other hand, was able to pull off that lozenge shaped hat with great style and panache; she looked fabulous in it!
Victoria Beckham wore all black, and they said she was one of the best dressed. Then a couple minutes later they say (about somebody else) that wearing black to a wedding is a faux pas.
Sue Harvey For a real laugh, Google pics of the ugly stepsisters' dresses at the ball in Disney's Cinderella. The similarities, right down to the colours, are spot-on!
@Lellobeetle The queen is a modest dresser. She a very modest person in general. I admire her for that. She doesn't act like royalty. She acts like a normal person.
Beatrice and Eugenie look like the step sisters from Cinderella. I only forgive it because they're wearing Haute Couture. Catherine looks incredible, most beautiful dress I've ever seen. Seriously, just to try on a dress like that, is a dream come true. So jealous. I would never wear black to a wedding (as a guest, that is). I'm talking about the woman in the red/black hat with the black/white dress. Not classy at all. Looks like she stepped out of 1940's Germany. Just having cocktails at Hitlers lair or something. VB was pregnant here. She looked rather nice. Something about David though. He tends to always look just.... OK. Like the comment below. I can't quite put it into words. And of course, Her Majesty the Queen. People forget to mention what she's doing. The Queen truly is the most elegant woman here.
Very confused, I'm sorry, but why was Mariam Gonzales' so wrong in wearing SOME black to the wedding (black chiffon over a mainly white dress) whilst Victoria Beckham may wear ALL black and Mariam is criticized, but Victoria is highly praised....where what why and how does this judging come from? They were both beautiful and elegant, in my opinion. I humbly apologize if I've spelled names incorrectly.
+Jennifer L Victoria was wearing a very dark blue, not black. However I do think that guy was being a bit overly picky. If anyone was worst dressed it was Beatrice & Eugenie by far.
Why is the critic described as "horrible"? His statement about attendants at ROYAL weddings in the UK wearing white (or cream, if the bride's dress is cream) has been correct, for about 130 years. This man has firstly: done his homework, secondly: gets all his titles right, thirdly: has a generous attitude. I enjoyed his commentary very much.
I thought she looked great, always suits her style and not OTT like some. Give her a break, she’s not a fashion model and she has a few years under her belt. She always gives the crowd a smile and a wave.
Beatrice and Eugenie are attractive young women but the puff-ball style skirt wasn't the best idea and the less said about their hats the better... They need good tailoring and simple lines to flatter them.
Megan Williams I don't like either dress. They don't have the figures nor the demeanor to pull of avant guard fashion. They need to tone it down and keep it simple if they don't want to look ridiculous.
I was just wondering what those weird looking things were on Beatrice and Eugenie she's head for the wedding of William and Kate the hats that Beatrice and Eugenie wore to a wedding I don't think they were appropriate they were really weird looking but then again that's just my opinion
There's another wedding clip that says the Beckhams were upset over their seating. They thought they had reserved seats and when they found out it was first come, first served and they had arrived too late to be on the front row, they were angry.
Kate is stunning. The simple dress was perfect for her. Diana's dress was regarded as awful even in the 80s. The York sisters really work hard to look like rubbish for every occasion. Ugly at best.
that flattened out tea towel on her head, held on by two bobby pins, was horrid horrid horrid.......was she out to convince us she was a blushing virgin? lmaoooooooo
As with all bridesmaids, she probably had her dress chosen for her by the bride. I thought she and her sister looked lovely and I am sure Kate did not feel jealous of her sister, she had no need to, Kate was the lady amongst all who attended who stole the show, and rightly so.
I can’t wait till Fergies Daughter gets married. As the mother of the bride I hope the hell she gets to invite who and who she doesn’t want to invite. Go Fergie. Leave most of the royal family un invited. Just like they did to you. Go Fergie 👍
You are completely wrong, statistics show 1/3 of the American people are obese! I appreciate USA is a big country (which obviously shows A LOT of people are obese there) but there is no way the UK is in just as much of an obesity epidemic as the USA. There is an obese issue here in the UK you're correct about that, how ever comparing it to USA much be a joke. Totally agree with you on the fact Pippa looks painfully thin, even Princess Kate now is too thin in my opinion :)
I know that Charles is the father but why is his lover there?. He should be waiting with his kids and show some respect of the memory of Diana (The mother of those kids).
Give it up. Camilla is his wife and if William and Harry don't have an issue with it, neither should you. Yes, Charles cheated, but so did Diana and how many people have divorced parents these days? Why are the Royals held up to different standards? It takes two people to break up a marriage. From what I've heard, Diana was a handful to deal with but even so, they were just poorly matched from the beginning. Both were probably at fault, she's long dead and everyone but apparently you have moved on.
Ari Onassis-Sugen I'm not a fanatic but I thought the Royal family was the example of decency. Of course the got more than liberal to let Camilla be in the wedding of DIANA'S SON. I won't care if it was with another woman but not her. The good ones leave first. Charles is there smilling with the lover and Diana got killed and couldn't enjoy enough time with his partner. Not fair.
Are you talking about English traditions? White wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses was not a traditional symbol of purity and virginity and the colour only became popular for brides following the wedding of Queen Victoria in the 19th century, because she wore the colour. I personally think bridesmaid in white/cream makes for nicer bridal procession and photographs that will date well.
I think the Queen looked nice, but I agree that it wasn't anything particularly outstanding. However, I do admire her as a hard working person and give her a pass. Looking back with 20/20 vision, I don't think Katherine's dress is elegant, per se. I do generally like the lines. Also, I was surprised by the veil - nothing special there either. Compare this to Stephanie de Lannoy's gorgeous dress and you can really tell the difference. Kate's won't stand the test of time, imho.
I thought Kate's dress was lovely (a bit too simple for the occasion/place), but frankly, whoever tailored it to her, I must question. The bodice appeared ill-fitting, esp. as she leaves the car and begins to enter the abbey. Was it INTENDED that her corset/bralette made her breasts look "outlined" and pointy? Almost a tacky 1950's look, IMHO. Overall a wonderful fit for her but that was just wrong.
+usernamevidio I agree, her dress was beautiful, although I didn't think the simplicity was bad. And it seemed to have lots of details that were hard to see well far away on camera. But YES about the pointy boobs!!! That is always the first thing my eyes are drawn to on that dress, it just looks so ill fitting on an otherwise beautiful dress!
I don't know about the Duchess o Cambridge, but between my last dress fitting and my Wedding day (1 week) I lost a lot of weight - enough that my bodice looked too big.
Maureen Ramsden I absolutely hate lace and I really disliked her dress. It looked like it was strangling her and was just lace overload. BUT, she was inspired by Grace Kelly’s wedding dress and she did end up with a dress that was similar but unique at the same time. I think lace trim on a veil can be so beautiful and timeless but that much lace on a dress makes it look dowdy and dated.
What is this a Geography lesson or a history lesson? And actually not all the population are of English descent some are of scottish, welsh and irish too. What is your point exactly?
Charles and Camilla were ‘married’ in a register office at the Windsor Guildhall on April 9, 2005, BUT IT'S FAR FROM CLEAR THAT THAT MARRIAGE WAS LAWFUL. Civil marriages were introduced in England by the Marriage Act of 1836 but in section 45 it says that the Act "SHALL NOT EXTEND TO THE MARRIAGE OF ANY OF THE ROYAL FAMILY". A second Marriage Act was passed in 1949 and that contained a similar exclusion clause: "NOTHING IN THIS ACT SHALL AFFECT ANY LAW OR CUSTOM RELATING TO THE MARRIAGE OF MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL FAMILY." THE PROHIBITION ON MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL FAMILY GETTING MARRIED IN CIVIL CEREMONIES REMAINS AND CHARLES MARRIAGE IS ILLEGAL.
Members of the Royal family are excepted from the provisions of the Marriage Act 1949, and their marriages in England and Wales MUST be performed by Anglican clergy. There would be no obstacle to The Prince of Wales remarrying in Scotland as did his sister The Princess Royal where the Royal Family are not excepted from the provisions of the Scottish Marriage legislation. IDIOT INBRED ‘TAMPAX’ CHARLES ‘MARRIAGE’ IS ILLEGAL BECAUSE HE REMARRIED IN ENGLAND AND HE WAS AWARE OF IT WHEN HE ILLEGALLY ‘MARRIED’ THE VILE ADULTEROUS CAMILLA WHORE
***** It was FIVE cousins of The Queen Mother that's widely documented and Charles paternal grandmother was detained for most of her life in mental institutions. Lets be frank, if they were dogs you would not breed with them!
You know more about this than I for sure....you have done the research and all I know is what I read in the papers....personally, I don't think there is any such thing as royal blood anyway and that we are all mutts...I really hate the way people bash Camilla....she didn't break up Diana's marriage...that marriage really shouldn't have happened imo....and Princess Diana had her own share of affairs anyway...Camilla can't help her looks and being ugly myself I hurt for her.
This is my royal rant day! The whole world is in a huge mess! Bigger than has ever happened before and all people can talk about is fashion. It's sick! Especially as she married into one of the families that is causing the mess! Bugger clothes! Get rid of thatose maggots Lizardbreath and Philip. Get rid of them and that will make a few thousand children have happy childhoods. Charlie boy and his dog wife, the backstabbing treacherous slug!
I agree Annette, slowly other brits are waking up to realise that this family haven't got our best interests at heart and are out for themselves. Pleased we share the same views
2 kinds of Americans 1. The ones that are obsessed and love the royal family 2. The jealous and full of the one because they haven't got. A royal family.
3:14 I don't care who says those hats are great ... They aren't. Just because a designer made them for the "elite", doesn't make it good, just makes them stupid for not having their own opinion. Seriously, take it out of this setting, have it made by a "nobody", and everyone would call it like it is. Strange and ugly
Try to understand something, when it comes to weddings your traditions are not shared by the rest of the world and your comment make you appear very ignorant and immature. A good deal of though and planning goes into a wedding of this scale and no bridesmaid simply chooses whatever colour they fancy wearing. You also failed to notice that the 4 other bridesmaids were also in white and the 2 pages wore the same colour jacket as the groom. We don't obsess about which colour guests wear either.
Why do they have this man on to discuss the wedding as if he’s some authority on royal weddings when he doesn’t even know that bridesmaids of royal weddings are always dressed in either white or ivory. They don’t have gaudy, bright colours, bot does the bride have a maid-of-honour. Usually someone Pippa’s age wouldn’t even be a bridesmaid. It’s typically much younger girls and a couple boys wearing the same colour as the girls. Don’t these reporters even just do a bit of research before they make themselves look like nitwits to the entire world?
Do any of these people have a job or work? Haven't William and Kate been living together? Why didn't they have a Justice of the Peace do the ceremony. It looks like a big waste of money to me. Didn't they learn anything from Charles and Diane's wedding?
Christ, everyone's a critic, lol. As others have said, the 'fashion critic' hasn't exactly got much to talk about. But I'll throw my 10 pence worthinto the mix, lol.Victoria Beckham,(pregnant or not),looked like she was wearing a sack & couldn't have looked more sullen, even for her! The princesses,Eugenie & Beatrice looked absolutely ridiculous. As for princess Anne, lol, well she's never been a fashion icon, she'd be the 1st to admit it.And all the blokes have to do is put a suit on.Job done!
Why is she wearing her hat on her forehead? I don't understand why women's magazines keep telling me I have to see her as stylish, when I know women who wear Primark with more natural style.
The white dress in the British Empire only became tradtiional with Queen Victoria. Nothing to do with virginity, but rather a show of status - your family was so well off that you could afford a dress to be worn once. Just as the length of train was historically a sign of wealth and power - the higher up in the Court, the longer the train.
@Milton754 - "getting .... weird"?I know several men who do not wear a wedding ring. William chose not to because that is not the royal tradition. The royal tradition is to wear a signet ring on the little finger.Too many rings and he'll look like a spiv.I personally would prefer my own ring, but the young man desperately wanted to include his mother. Before people bang on about tradition being boring blah blah - the guy's married a commoner, how tradition-busting can you be.Good luck to them.
Princess Beatrice and her toilet seat and deer antler hybrid hat are the Royal showstopper
Beatrice and Eugenie certainly inherited their mum's dress sense

I beg to differ with these commentators regarding Kate's dress being "simple". It was anything but simple. It was pure class. Regal, timeless and perfect.
This is hilarious wearing black or white to a wedding is a no no BUT those hats are a plus lmao!!
Even the most famous supermodels in the world would have difficulty looking good in Bea's hat, much less Princess Beatrice. . .
Lmao princess Eugenie and Beatrice's hats were kind of over the top lol
+Kristy Cheung I thought they were horrid and couldn't believe anyone would don them, especially that camel colored one; tres gauche! Victoria Beckham, on the other hand, was able to pull off that lozenge shaped hat with great style and panache; she looked fabulous in it!

Not a problem; we all come from the goddess.
Victoria Beckham wore all black, and they said she was one of the best dressed. Then a couple minutes later they say (about somebody else) that wearing black to a wedding is a faux pas.
+Kristen Jakins double standard? or they have no clue what there talking about
+Kristen Jakins Actually, think Victoria's outfit was navy.
LisaNYC70 your right it was navy it looked black
+Kristen Jakins Her dress is Navy, Not black.
it might be seen a a bad thing because black was meant to be the original wedding colour so its now bad to wear black or white maybe?
Beatrice and Eugenie looked frightful poor dears.............
Sue Harvey For a real laugh, Google pics of the ugly stepsisters' dresses at the ball in Disney's Cinderella. The similarities, right down to the colours, are spot-on!
Pretty sure Queen Elizabeth didn't think too much of Beatrice and Eugenie's headwear.
Eugenie and Beatrice looked simply and utterly ghastly. How anyone can approve of the comedy act that was their clothing, is beyond belief.
Nice looking girls now
vrccb .
Yes did E & B not look into a mirror before leaving home ?
I still think Beatrice’s hat looks like a toilet seat.
@Lellobeetle The queen is a modest dresser. She a very modest person in general. I admire her for that. She doesn't act like royalty. She acts like a normal person.
Hurrah for Princess Anne who KNOWS it is the bride's day.
Hats that distract from the face rather than showing it off don't work.

With regards to the man's query about bridesmaids at a Royal Wedding; yes it is traditional for the bridesmaids to be wearing white/ivory/cream.
@DramaInPajamas Agree, I too wondered about a bridesmaid wearing white.

They did get back together before the end of the marriage
Some of the hats look like they belong in a circus.
Who is the girl in leopard shirt wearing a black hat at 3:01-3:02?? Anyone who knows please let me know!! Thanks!!
Beatrice and Eugenie are attractive young women but the puff-ball style skirt wasn't the best idea and the less said about their hats the better... They need good tailoring and simple lines to flatter them.
+Dianaemanuel They need diets and a good fashion consultant.
+Dianaemanuel their hats are a joke
It's truly sad. They look and act like a pair of bafoons instead of ladies and princesses. They could learn a lot from Princess Kate.
Beatrice's dress was ok, but Westwood is trading on her name these days... puff skirts are so mid 80s when Vivian Westwood was in her hay day.
Megan Williams
I don't like either dress. They don't have the figures nor the demeanor to pull of avant guard fashion. They need to tone it down and keep it simple if they don't want to look ridiculous.
The hats omg lol..so ridiculous looking on all.
Shut it American!
Nope Canadian here LOL.. and you're ridiculous too!!

elegant dress but the veil really pulled everything down, including the hair, weighing the hair down. what was it? polyester? could've done better.
There's another wedding clip that says the Beckhams were upset over their seating. They thought they had reserved seats and when they found out it was first come, first served and they had arrived too late to be on the front row, they were angry.
David Backham wore his medal on the wrong side. It sould be on the left.
Are you sure that's not Lady Ga-Ga at 3:04? lol
Kate is stunning. The simple dress was perfect for her. Diana's dress was regarded as awful even in the 80s.
The York sisters really work hard to look like rubbish for every occasion. Ugly at best.
Kate is so pretty and lucky I wish I was royal
'it is a traditional thing in england for bridesmaids to wear white' he made that up on the spot
What business is it of yours?

Victoria "Darth Vader" Beckham

she cleans up better than i would have thought. since she's been married to charles she wears pretty nice clothes.

black is considered extremely unlucky to wear at a wedding
In all honesty that is how the queen is...

The princesses,Eugenie & Beatrice looked absolutely ridiculous. As for princess Anne, lol, well she's never been a fashion icon, she'd be the 1st to admit it.And all the blokes have to do is put a suit on.Job done!
Are you American?
Why is she wearing her hat on her forehead? I don't understand why women's magazines keep telling me I have to see her as stylish, when I know women who wear Primark with more natural style.
white OK, but black? A big no no!!
Why take these two seriously who are commenting with American opinions on a BRITISH WEDDING in the UK??!!!
Wrong, among the aristocracy and royals in England, it IS traditional for bridesmaids to wear white.
Why do they have so many little kids in the wedding party?
Tradition, look at Her Majesty's wedding, the Wales and the Yorks.
Megan Williams But why is this a tradition, though?
Where does anything to do with weddings become traditional?
Megan Williams I don't know.
It was more ivory, and Kate would have chosen it with Pippa,
@Milton754 - "getting .... weird"?I know several men who do not wear a wedding ring. William chose not to because that is not the royal tradition. The royal tradition is to wear a signet ring on the little finger.Too many rings and he'll look like a spiv.I personally would prefer my own ring, but the young man desperately wanted to include his mother. Before people bang on about tradition being boring
blah blah - the guy's married a commoner, how tradition-busting can you be.Good luck to them.
There were so many strange choices as far as hats go.
For fuck sake. A hat maker is called a milliner
yE@h..and they work in WiNdMiLLs !
no no Eugene and Beatrice were grumpy
