Yeah, new videos! Keep em going Tim.
Thank you for showing the relief valve being pipped to the floor. I've seen so many people skipping this step on their installation videos.
If I install this under the kitchen sink, how can I vent the relief valve???
YW as we say in Morse.
These are nice. I used an older model on a sink for a dark room setup.
I have a similar one under my kitchen sink, even with a tankless gas water heater, it is really nice to get instant hot water, and because it gets filled with water that is already heated, it only has to maintain the heat, it uses less than a 60w bulb according to a week measuring with "kill o watt"
what is the reading suppose to be when checking to see if the elements r still good. ohms or watts.
This sounds like a great replacement for a water heater in a Motor Home or travel trailer? I want to see what the recovery time and heat up times are. I know they make tankless now so I am looking into that as well.. Or more on demand I guess.
I looked at the titan site and didn't see a model by this name. Is there a model number you could post? Looks like a great product. I'm looking for something small and economical for a remote bathroom in a house I'm remodeling, might be just the ticket.
@hitachi088 I don't know the watts. Probably 1200 or so. Just go look it up. It's a storage tank. 2.5 gallons is already heated in the tank ready for use.
I have one of this in a camper and I let out all of the water and turn off the water for the winter. I turn it off but did not unplug it . So we go to use the camper and I turned the water back on and running the air out of the lines hot and cold then turn on the water heater and i got hot water but later tried it got a little then it stop putting out hot water
thanks for this! does this unit store a few gallons of water so it is at room temperature before heating it or not? Does this require an expansion tank?

i love my paloma on propane....but very easy install nice job
If I install this under the kitchen sink, how can I vent the relief valve???
Easy. Extend the pipe to a drain below the kitchen with an indirect connection or dump it outside.
Hi, do you think I can use this on my food trailer? It has a battery operated pump for the water supply coming from a 5 gallon water container...
Possibly...... You'd need to feed it propane.
Ok
Thanks.
What? This unit is electric - not propane. What are you saying? We have one of these in our food trailer and it works great. Just remember to keep water in it and have it turned off when you connect electricity to the trailer. Then turn it on. Otherwise you will blow circuit breakers. at the outlet and that's often not your property.
Am I wrong that you shouldn’t use copper directly to iron( corrosion will result) and one need to use dielectric connectors?

Do you have to flush these Tiny Titan Water Heater. I have one in the home we just purchased and no insturctions and not sure if they need to be or not. Any help would be appreciated.
Sure, I'll help and save you huge money. Step 1. NEVER trust what anyone tells you that has NOTHING to do with supporting the product warranty. Step 2. ALWAYS go to the source for product questions. In this case, the mfr of the Tiny Titan.
Does the tiny titan compact water heater have filters that need to be changed?
I don't think so. When you have questions about products the BEST source for answers is the manufacturer. NEVER trust what a RUclipsr says as she/he doesn't BACK THE WARRANTY.
How do I turn it on left or right unsure before I plug it in
I've found it invaluable to read the written installation instructions. Try it and see what you think.
Would this unit be able to serve a dishwater?
Yes. It would work well for that purpose.
shouldn't that be a GFI outlet since its going to be so close to the water now?
it was a gfci also it was in a garage and all garages must have gfci plugs anyway. But you can see in the video its a GFI outlet.
@dougdobbs Model # E1E2-5US015V
That looks like a nice heater, but too small for a family home though.
would it be enough for a single person shower if you don't take an hour to shower and don't waste water????
The Recon Prepper yes it would. The idea behind these is that you have continuous hot water. Doesn't matter how long you shower for. Although this is a small model that plugs in with 120. I would upgrade a breaker and upgrade the heater. But that's just me being a plumber.
No. Thanks! You might want to do two things: 1. Subscribe to my FREE newsletter at www.AsktheBuilder.com 2. Start watching my LIVE streaming videos! Lots of fun and you get to ask me questions in real time. Be sure to turn on NOTIFICATIONS about when I go LIVE.
Lots of expensive copper that really isnt needed. Just my two cents...
The architect might have specified it. And those two cents of yours used up some copper too!
