This helps a lot knowing what my settlement might be. I was rear ended by a 18wheeler with a full load here in OKC, he totaled my car in a HWY contruction Zone. I have dashcam footage and in cabin footage of direct impact. I had back pain, leg pain and whiplash. I just recently got an MRI done on my arm and i have a Minior tear on my roator cuff. i have been seeing phyical threapy and Chiroprator for almost 2months now.

Hi I'm going through the exact same scenario right now. my lawyer is saying since my medical bills are 21k State farm offered 18k and that's all they have to pay before lawsuit not the policy limit. He is saying we will only get the policy limit when they start to litigate and that's a maybe he said. I told him I'm not settling for nothing less than the 50k and my under insured 30k from my policy. I wonder why he is saying it will take filing suit to get the policy limit???? I too have a 3mm herniated disk
I'd suggest you listen to your lawyer as (assuming this did not happen in KY) your lawyer would have more knowledge of the laws and jurisdiction applicable to your case. I wish you the best of luck.
Everything you explained in this video is me right now but the person who rear ended me had no insurance. How does that work now or how would they compensate me?
It's been my experience that most of the time people who have no insurance do not have any significant assets to pursue. If they work though you might be able to garnish wages if you get a judgment against them. The best way to protect yourself is to have uninsured motorist insurance coverage on your automobile policy so definitely look into whether or not you had that type of insurance coverage as many people have it and do not even realize it. Lastly, you should consult with a lawyer that practices in the state where your accident occurred to see if they can help.
What was finally number after fees
My firm’s attorney fee is 1/3 of the settlement.
