There are some shoes that have a big throat opening (some classic Adidas, Clarks etc.) which causes max heel slippage, in case you really like to buy these type of shoes get one full size down. A real true-to-size are running sneakers while casual shoes we often wear are usually half-a-size up which we label as "true-to-size". We do need that +half size because our feet would swell up especially if you do long walks in your Nikes' w/ faux leather or even mesh materials.

Firstly, I trust your vast knowledge and recommendations on shoes. But my biggest query about size is how they can charge the same for a size 4 that they do for a size 14 and up. There is so much more material used in the bigger size, plus they are heavier to transport and ship. It has always baffled me and I wonder what you think about it.

I wear a 12.5 if I take the sole out would it be .5 bigger? I bought my black metallic 5’s in 2016 size 12 but ever since I been wearing 12.5.. length wise I remember having a lot of room left in my 2021 vapor max which was a 12.5
