    Saving the best for the last, they actually revamped quite a lot in the Ace Pro 2 vs the 1st generation Ace Pro addressing a lot of issues in Ace Pro and fulfilling many user requests. I think this one just might finally be the GoPro killer. Interesting they are dropping in dual AI..hmm...

      @@matt_pang Yah it's really too bad, I was a huge GP fan and was around since the first camera from them. They've had lots of chances and hints from companies like DJI and Ace Pro to step up the game but they were betting on old school tech, didn't work.

      Nothing will kill GoPro. GoPro is still the best camera for sports enthusiasts. I bought an Ace Pro and had to go back to my GoPro.

      @@Cameraflyer- Hi, What was the reason to gave up of Ace Pro? I'm still thinking to change from GP to Ace pro... hard decision after so many years of GP, for me. Best regards

      @@Cameraflyer- congratulations, but not for me. They lack R&D. No new processor, no low light improvements , different batteries (not interchangeable).they are lagging behind 😢

    The most significant thing they could have added was a 10-bit log profile. It is pathetic that they are calling this a second-generation Pro camera without 10-bit color. I can't use this as a B camera for my Canon because it doesn't have 10-bit log. Why are they calling this a "Pro" when their target market is amateurs?

  • @Heckman_Productions
    @Heckman_Productions 2 дня назад +3

    My biggest issue with the Ace pro was the narrow FOV, DJI and GoPro’s were much wider, which I needed for my content. Hopefully insta360 fixed that for this camera

    No 10 bit, that like the standard nowadays

    Do we know if the new AcePro 2 will be 10bit or not ?

  • @Cameraflyer-
    @Cameraflyer- 3 дня назад +8

    Nobody needs 8K. It doesn't seem to be any major improvements to the Ace Pro 2. Still no 10-bit color and still no log color profile.

    • @atw365.
      @atw365. 3 дня назад +6

      You need 8K so you can have a 4K 2x zoom, that is a good feature for normal users who use action cameras during their travels for example, so you don't necessarily have that huge wide FOV that is only good for action sports. Not everyone is doing backflips on their mountain bike

    • @PatchedBandit
      @PatchedBandit 3 дня назад

      @@atw365. Smaller pixels -> Generally worse image quality. DJI understands this -> Pocket 3. Actioncamera market is not competing with professoinal RED cameras so I agree 8K is completely pointless. I would much rather have better quality 4K footage and lose the 8K.
      Quality 8K is not possible with todays technology in this form factor, sensor size, battery size and cooling capacity. 8K will come with worse 4K and is just used as a marketing gimmick that many people will go for as we see from your comment. Bigger in this sense is not better.

    • @DIYSportsman
      @DIYSportsman 3 дня назад

      8k is very valuable for someone like me who is generally gathering a forgiving wide FOV and then cropping 200-300% in post. Willing to drop back down to 4k in low light. 360 cam is the ultimate for forgiving fov but the pixel density is just not there. 8k action cam is a good compromise. 30fps will also mix much better with other cameras using that frame rate vs being locked at 24

    • @Cameraflyer-
      @Cameraflyer- 3 дня назад

      @@DIYSportsman the image looks horrible when you scale down that much.

    • @DIYSportsman
      @DIYSportsman 3 дня назад

      @Cameraflyer- It still looks better than the 4k cropped in on the same cameras if the lighting is sufficient. Not every use case requires broadcast quality footage, even though it'd be nice. Sometimes being able to see what's happening is enough.

    I like my GoPro 10 and 11 but their Mac Quik studio app is not great. My next camera will probably be an Insta360. Their software ND Motion Blur does a pretty good job adding motion blur when I use it on video from my bike rides.

  • @PatchedBandit
    @PatchedBandit 3 дня назад +1

    5:51 100% AGREE! You said it best here. I make videos for youtube and I film hundreds of shots with my DJI cameras (Action 3, 4 and 5 pro) in addition to my DJI Pocket 3.
    The workflow where I need to use an app before I can get the clips to my timeline in the final edit is juts not feasible. I have also tried to get used to the insta360 app workflow but in addition to it being a whole lot of work it is UNSTABLE. There were so many times where I lost footage because the app was buggy and didn't let me render out the footage I had shot earlier.
    This is just a complete no no from me and I will always buy cameras that make it simple.

    What they should do with the 8k sensor is to combine pixels to improove the 4k or 2.7k in lowlight. Also if it is capable to 8k, why not add the option to increase the bitrate from 2.7k and 4k/6k? Like 4k100mbs and 4k+200mbs, this will allow to have more data per pixel than have "the 8k". And with an 8k sensor they can push it, probably there is a physical limitation how fast each pixel can react to the information, however since an 8k has more or less 4 times the amount of pixels than 4k, they could "switch in between pixels up to 4 times" to increase how fast the sensor could react to information. It may also allow the sensor to have longer and highier fps bursts for slow mo.

    I own ACE PRO and happy with it accept it external mic need to use adapter and it cant work well with other bluetooth Mic including DJI MIC 2.
    The minimum focust distance also quite far.
    If Ace Pro come out their own Bluetooth Mic that can intergrade wirh ACE PRO I definately going to get it.
