About 8-10 years ago before it was rebranded as The Bat I took my daughter down to KI for the day. I’m not a coaster fan but it looked like I could enjoy this one. As soon as we came down the drop hill and hit the turns I was awed by the G force going back and forth. Agreed. Great ride!
Depending on my mood, I could make a case for Diamondback, Mystic Timbers, Orion, and Banshee being my favorite ride in the park. Each is a Top 10 in their respective types (Hyper, Wooden, Giga, and Inverted, respectively).
It would be awesome to see the park get a front entrance coaster, when Invertigo's time is up, I hope they don't remove Congo Falls, the park needs water rides, and if they do remove it maybe they can move it to some other place in the park, move it to Rivertown or even keep there and have the coaster go over Congo Falls, that would be neat!
Being a season pass holder (I was there yesterday with my boys) I think your list is solid. The best time to ride Mystic Timbers is during the Halloween haunt on a chilly October night.
Adventure Express Night Ride is HIGHLY underrated! The Bat's got a great, overlooked night ride as well. Solid list brother, I'd have Beast (4), Orion (3), Diamondback(2) and Mystic (1), but I gotta respect your ranking.
Kings island is my home park and I just cannot get enough of mystic timbers. I know there are bigger rides , but I just think mystic is so much fun, and I could reride it all day As far as predictions go... I wish we could get an RMC coaster. I just made it to cedar point and rode steel vengeance, and it was amazing
Mystic Timbers is probably the best ride there. In fact, I think the night rides, even though they are a lot shorter, are as good if not better than the beast.
@@cianeberle1712 really? I just rode it yesterday and said to my friend, I love how smooth it is, while still moving you around a lot. I'm 36, and def get headaches from the beast, and even if I sit in the back on banshee, but mystic never bothers me
Bro ki is my home park and I can’t believe how we are one of the best parks in the US or to some people the best, and we don’t even have an intamin or an rmc. Give us smthn other than a b&m or a woodie!!
While I don't completely agree: I don't need to be reminded to be respectful, since we both have opinions that some people might think are controversial, especially the fact that Diamondback in any 4 seats of the back car (especially extreme left) is the best coaster ride at Kings Island. I'll only keep it to a top six: 2: Orion in the back car (especially extreme left) 3: Banshee in the back car (extreme left again, since the drop is even STEEPER there, (talk about airtime on a B&M Invert drop!) 4: Mystic Timbers row 12 (where I saw the same couple I met at Carowinds when I met you and el Toro Ryan; the couple where the woman was in a wheelchair, whom I 1st met begging for the back row of Fury 325) 5: The Beast row 17; 6: Racer row 14. BTW Cedar Point and Kings Island are my two favourite amusement parks I've visited followed by 3: Six Flags Great Adventure; 4: Six Flags Magic Mountain and 5: Carowinds. (BTW I just rode Thundervolt on Friday and it's my favourite short roller coaster in the world!) Thanks for posting this wonderful video!
My favorite roller coaster there is Orion, followed by Diamondback, Mystic Timbers, Beast, Banshee, Bat, Firehawk (R.I.P.), Flight of Fear, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Adventure Express, Racer, Vortex (R.I.P.), and Invertigo.
I don't think Invertigo will be open much longer. Around the weeks of my visit a few weeks ago, I was checking whether or not the coaster was open, and it was closed pretty much everytime I checked. I just don't think they'll operate a coaster with that much reliablity much longer. It's the only coaster here I haven't ridden
@@Froggy_Mapping I think the vortex replacement may buy it 1-2 more seasons, but when that opens then I think the next move will be to remove it and Congo falls for the next attraction. I think it’ll be around at least until they put something in vortex’s land, or it may be the chopping block item to get the next attraction. Park hasn’t ever confirmed if the vortex land had sinking issues, which if it does may keep them from building on it.
You're missing out, invertigo is very intense , and like Brandon said it is one of a kind in this country and it's a great ride if you like I-305, and skyrush and X-2; then you will like inVertigo do not listen to the enthusiast haters who are afraid to ride anything other than B&M hypers, or RMC clones 😂😂😂 Trust me and give it a shot
As our home park, and having been a regular since 1981, I firmly believe the next coaster will be a B&M surf themed after the classic King Cobra. Who knows. 🤷👍
I can’t believe this man really put flight of fear below adventure express of all things. that launch into pitch black slaps harder than an angry grandma.
Hopefully it’ll be another unique high capacity coaster. KI’s attendance numbers really warrants something big. Whether Vekoma, Intamin, or Mack: I’d love a 5000ft long multilaunch coaster. Or for them to go for the inversion record again since this plot of land previously had that title. And someway to utilize the old crypt building, imagine a coaster with part of an indoor section and then launching out of the crypts former entrance. A new Vekoma launched flyer would be cool. A Mack Stryker coaster.
I've been saying invertigo and congo falls being removed, even the amphitheatre too, for a good front gate coaster for YEARS. Everyone called me crazy since 2015. I'm glad people are finally seeing the vision, but it's bittersweet because I've spent so many arguments online about it. I think we'll see it by 2030
THANK YOU! We need more Diamondback love in the world. Every time I go there, I have to get atleast 10 rides on it and the whip you get off that drop in the back row is just sheer brilliance. I don't think you should sleep on the front row either as that ragdoll airtime you get as you crest the hills is well worth it too. I wish B&M would go back to this style of train, as I think the 8 row trains hurt every other hyper/giga they make. Imagine Orion with these trains and that drop.
I love Kings island, one of my all time favorite Six flags parks. My rankings go as follows: 1.Mystic Timbers 2.Orion 3.Banshee 4.Diamondback 5.The Beast 6.Flight of Fear 7.The Bat 8.Invertigo 9.Backlot Stunt coaster 10.Racer 11.Adventure Express 12.Woodstock Air Rail 13.Woodstock Express Still haven’t done Snoopy’s soapbox racers yet.

we make the trip down from Cleveland a few times a year. We always do our final trip on one of the last Saturdays of the season during Haunt. We go to Cedar Point about 15-20 times a season and KI adds a different experience with their coasters. The parks sort of complement each other. My favorite is The Beast. I do love Diamondback and Mystic but the experience the beast provides is unmatched. I rank it above steel vengeance, maverick, millennium and TT2. It might be because I only get to ride the beast a few times a year and I ride CP's coasters a dozen or more times a year (except TT2, only got 2 rides on it). The Beast is the only coaster where I still have a feeling that the train could fly off the tracks at any time. Plus the use of the terrain and the tunnels makes it that much better. Then you hit the double helix at the end and the speed, sound and enclosed track amplify it more.
I had zero issues with Air Rail. NOT the same restraints as later versions of that model e.g. Carowinds. Never seen that mentioned. Bat is great, I think I'd put it over Racer. Also might swap Banshee higher. Ranking this top 5 is like 5 kittens trying to get at one plate of food.
Diamondback is my number 1 at Kings Island 2 Mystic 3 Banshee 4 Beast 5 Orion 6 Bat 7 Racer 8 Flight of fear 9 Backlot 10 Adventure Express 11 Invertigo 12 snoopy soap box racer 13 Woodstock express 14 air rail and 15 great pumpkin all of those I never ridden before and don’t plan on doing either
Went on the Beast 30+ years ago with my husband and 2 daughters. It was the first ride we went on. Waiting over 2 hours. It spoiled the whole day for us. The ride was so rough and you couldn't hold your head still. It was throwing your head around. I couldn't wait for it to end. It was a few hours before we recovered enough to go on another ride. My girls still say this was the worst ride they were ever on. I'm surprised so many like it.
I think they might get an rmc soon either racers being rmcd or just a new ride or maybe just maybe beast rmcd but that would be insane and might not happen for another 20 years
11:01 you forgot 2024 so it will probably be 2027-2028 but at the same time they removed vortex the year after volcano was torn down (if I remember correctly) so maybe 2026 because KD is replacing their old coaster, volcano
