Gotta say, the ad was hilarious 😄
James Hong is still in evrything :D
James Hong is incredibly prolific. He was in an episode of Seinfeld. He was LoPan in Big Trouble. He was recently in R.I.P.D. with Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. I think he has like 1000 credits to his name.
650 film credits.
@@johnrife7134 94 years old ans till acting :D
Saw and interview with him where they asked him where in china he's from and he said "Minneapolis".
Everyone laughed but Hong, because he really was born in Minneapolis :D
When Erin was upset, I thought for a moment that Jason was reaching for her hand to comfort her - instead, he picked up his beer.
Lmaooo me too 🤣🤣🤣 man’s was just checking to make sure his BAC was still in the zone.
🤣😂🤣😂 I saw that. Also it's funny when Erin gets too loud & Jason holds his ears while he calls her out, I lol everytime. I think we can all sympathize with him.
I'm glad I'm not the only one 😅
And the slow focus in on her reaction to the Quantum Leap dig...Pure Gold. That's love right there!
Was just going to write this😂😂
"Oh we will see a wholesome wife and husband moment😢"
NOPE! Grabs beer😂
I'll never forget when Chuck Norris single handedly won the Vietnam War.
@@nemurenuyorumoonlight8778 predator was set in central america
It's interesting that in an alternate universe, he met Dutch's unit before Dutch and his unit went to Central America as well as Rambo while each man was serving in Vietnam... and that is not a lore point in the Expendables. Weird.
Just send him somewhere with a gun and a raft and he'll win.
He has done it two times more, in part 2 and 3
@@JasonBrant Except for in a Colosseum against Bruce Lee.
When Chuck Norris went to college, he told his father “You’re the man of the house now”.
🤣 🤣
Chuck Norris can touch MC Hammer.
@@jculver1674 They shot that movie, when Chuck touched MCs Hammer, it's called Missing In Anus!😘
Chuck Norris's d*ck is so big, it has its own d*ck.
In fact, his d*ck's d*ck, is bigger than your d*ck.
As Erin softly whimpers, Jason looks over at her, smiles, reaches towards her, .. and grabs his can of beer. 😂
haha 🤣
@@JasonBrant Ain't no point in spoiling her JB! Great episode.
The slo-mo rise out of water with an m60 scene is one of Chuck's greatest moments in cinema.
I remember they constantly showed it during one of the cable channels sizzle reels, probably HBO since that was the cable channel I stayed parked on in the 80’s or Cinemax. Man when I was a kid I got treated to the classics
I do you one better. It's Humanity's greatest moment. THAT'S what we need to be printing on gold records & blasting out into space!
I think you meant, "The slo-mo rise out of the water with an m60 scene is one of (THE) greatest moments in (ALL OF) cinema".
@@nathanharper4060 Second only to Belgian Techno anthem "Pump up the Jam".
It's a badass moment.
Pretty sure James Hong holds the unofficial record of "most credited film actor" at like 700+ and even at 94 years old, he's still going.
Erin went on a full spectrum emotional journey with this one. Laughed, cried, wheezed and tea kettled.
Norris' Canon collection is the stuff of legend.
Can't wait to watch more.
Great show! I'm surprised you guys didn't know that when a knife is used on Chuck Norris, it's the knife that's left with the scar. 🗡️
I'm not going to lie, I had an Erin moment with a tear or two because my step father Keith and myself used to watch this religiously along with Braddock: Missing in Action III which was our favourite out of these three movies. He sadly passed away in February 2021, & I haven't watched any of them since without him. This is an awesome episode of SBIG.
From Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Thank you for this Jason & Co., this is so special.

You can imagine the preliminary meeting for every 80’s action movie.
Producer: “We are making another movie”
Director: “Where is it based?”
Writer: “Asia”
Casting Agent: “Right-o. I’ll call James Hong”…
PS: I did a quick search on him. No wonder we’ve all seen him in everything - he has over 650 film credits to his name! I think you need to get him for a cameo in “The Last Kumitae”. Just sayin’…
"I'm not paying for a room and a girl" - Jason
I almost spit up my coke laughing. Hilarious.
Missing in Action and Rambo II were both preceded by Uncommon Valor (1983), imo one of the most underrated action movies of the Eighties. It has a great cast with actors like Gene Hackman, Patrick Swayze and Fred Ward.
It also has Randall 'Tex' Cobb in one of his most memorable roles, although Ward was my favorite.
You also forgot Tim "Jack Deth" Thomerson
So cool that James Hong, at his seasoned age, finally made it to the Oscar’s stage for a movie that won “Best Film”.
James Hong is literally in Everything...Everywhere All At Once.
Hollywood law. James Hong WILL be in every cool movie!
@@dirtyrottenhikers4972 And TV show.
Haha, perfect.
Fun fact: The film was made in the Philippines. During production, there was an accident on scene. The film crew came to Clark Air Force Hospital to treat the injured. My father was working there as an OT when he ran into Chuck in the cafeteria. Chuck was hiding there to avoid the press.
Video suggestion: Has anyone suggested this film yet? It's called Streets of Fire. It's from the same guy who brought the world The Warriors 1979 film. It suffered in the box office and brought the world the weirdest named character: Tom Cody.
I'm not sure Streets of Fire fits the bill. It's big budget, high production, competently shot, KILLER soundtrack. The lead actor is a bit shit, but I'm not sure you could call it bad without calling (for example) Grease bad. It's ott camp fun.
@AlunB You have a point. Streets of Fire isn't a bad film. Though, it is regarded as a cult classic. I wanted to bring awareness to it because this film, like The Warriors, inspired the premise of some beat em up game series like Final Fight, Double Dragon, and Streets of Rage as examples.
There's already been a live action Double Dragon film (Oh hi Mark) for better or for worst. If you look at the setting of Streets of Fire and the campiness that is the script, you can see where the inspiration came from.
In fact, in the future, a Live Action Streets of Rage film will be premiering on the bring screens. Its script is being worked on, but it doesn't have a director yet. So who knows how it'll turn out.
Pretty sure I have a copy of Streets of Fire.
What did your dad think of Chuck?
@Jason Brant They had a pleasant conversation about the bases they traveled to as well as the stories of each of their travels. Though, my dad did lament to me that if Chuck did see him again, Chuck wouldn't recognize him because my dad was wearing hospital gear while station in the Philippines when he met him. My dad's been retired from the Air Force since 1994. Good for him.
I loved sttreets of fire.....in fact anthony cumia a radio host, was talking about6 that film yesterday
Crazy movies aside, Church Norris is an actual fighter. Unlike Steven Segal who only fights hard against diets and good acting.
Praise the Lord for "Church Norris"
Every time doughboy talks shit on our holy savior Chuck Norris, I wish he'd jump out of the nearest shadow and round house kick that Brillo pad glued to his giant melon head down his throat.
@@Elatenl Lol you got it backwards. Seagal is an asshole, but his martial credentials are more legit than 90 percent of the 80s Action Stars.
Hiroshi Isoyama, Koichi Tohei, Dan Inosanto, and Fumio Demura are all real world class masters, and Seagal trained with them for years.
@Chill Dragon Chuck was a great martial artist in his prime, but he only competed in point fighting tournaments. Joe Lewis was the one that competed in full contact Karate.
Seagal's most epic fight is against diabetes.
One of my favorite Chuck Norris jokes...Only Chuck Norris can come out with 'Missing in Action: Part 2' and call it 'The Beginning'. Both films are classics
Awesome movie!! Poor Erin was on the ropes and you gave her the k o mentioning Sam Beckett. What a sweet heart. From tears to teapot
I may have already written this when the episode came out, but Erin crying over the "going home" line is very appropriate given the origin of this one. Chuck lost his older brother Wieland in Vietnam and he wanted to make a Vietnam film as a tribute to him. Norris and Lance Hool (who directed the next film) tried to sell the idea to various studios and eventually they brought a script to Cannon, who were working on a similar idea. They ended up using both and made them about the same character, with this one originally intended as the sequel.
England vs Italy football match, or this video? *immediately presses play on the video* 😂😂😂
Had the same conundrum. This video won lol
You guys have your priorities straight.
Damn that was a good Ridge advertisement. I always enjoy youtubers who have some fun with it
Thanks! That was all Erin.
Jason, it is indeed the same composer for Invasion USA ie Jay Chattaway. The score for this film as well as Invasion USA was reused in Death Wish 4 due to Cannon at the time having financial issues and they were trying to save money where they could.
Missing in Action is just amazing. That slo mo shot of Chuck coming out of the water with an M60 is pure magic. I think you'll enjoy the sequels too when you get around to them.
I actually always enjoyed Missing In Action 2: The Beginning even more LOL
Funny story. Parts 1 and 2 were filmed at roughly the same time, and what became 2 was originally supposed to come first. Eventually though, the studio liked what they were seeing from the production of the sequel more, so it was released first. That's why what became 2 is a prequel LOL
The war would have lasted 5 minutes if Chuck had been set loose.
a lot of people do apparently. it seems to be one of those rare times where the sequel is better.
YES! MIA2 was the one I really remember as a kid. I remember the pow camp leader burning up the black guy because they thought he had malaria when he was only diabetic and Chuck really got pissed at that point.
2 is a prequel? Damn it. I hate prequels.
@@JasonBrant You will enjoy this prequel. It is Cannon excellence!
Growing up on Cannon and New Line films in the 80's and early 90's was awesome. They both made some of the best movies ever.
Oh hell yeah Chuck Norris + Cannon films = GOLD!!!!!!
The best duo.
0:10 That cover art with Chuck holding that giant gun? That's no gun, that's just what the man's packing! 😉😆
🤣 🤣
Chuck doesn’t do push ups. He pushes the earth down.
But of course.
M. Emmet Walsh has been in everything -From "Blade Runner" with Harrison Ford to "Red Scorpion" with Dolph Lundgren.
the reason he had no scar is because they cut him in half and 30 seconds later chuck regenerated fully
His abs were so tough the knife bled
Ohh, that makes sense.
James Hong is the Asian version of Samuel L Jackson, he's in everything 😂
He finally got a star on the Walk of Fame last year, so happy for that guy.
I'm amazed by how often we've seen him.
DELTA FORCE, Chuck, an all - star cast, and a rocket launching motorcycle.
dude thats one of the best sponsered ads you two have ever done. i actually enjoyed watching it!
Thanks! Erin is doing the ads now and she's killing it.
Just as it looked like Jason was going to reach for his crying wife hand, he grabs his beer. Man ain't no simp.
I'm the worst 🤣
I saw this at the movies in my 20s.
Erin: I need to watch that movie on the 4th of July. With my flags, and my beer, and my fireworks, and apple pie. Cause Murica.
Don't forget the tissues, Erin. Because "You guys are going home."
Cannon Films' Pyrotechnics are greater then what Seagal thinks of himself.
My dad actually took me to a matinee of "Good Guys Wear Black" when that opened. Of course, he also took me to see "Jaws." I was 10. We used to go to a family reunion vacay every year--at the ocean. 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Saw this one when I was a kid . Chuck, J.T. Walsh and James Wong, gigantic pyrotechnics. Chuck is a true hero that we probably don't deserve!
Missing in Action II was great. The critics wouldn't appreciate it, but the drama all builds up to Chuck Norris's best ending fight/revenge. Chuck scares you at the end, and you can tell he is a real tough guy you would NOT want to mess with. There was something kind of real and aggressive about the final fight that I never saw in any other martial arts film. It had me convinced that Chuck could probable actually beat the hell out of people.
Once again a proud Blu-ray owner of this !
Hell yeah, Keith!
‘Cannon Norris’ should be a film genre to its own.
Chuck Norris ad was freaking genius! Well done and thanks for the laugh!
🤘🤘🤘
That throwback to Becky taking a deuce initiated by Erin was clutch.
I am so surprised you three didn’t have this awesome movie memorized like I do! It’s alright, the SBIG show has turned me on to a few flicks I missed in my youth
Same! Sometimes it's like waking from a fever-dream of a movie you caught a part of late at night but could never remember the name of and/or never happened across on TV again...
I love it that James Hong and M. Emmet Walsh are still alive and working today.
Amazing.

Chuck Norris yeeeeah!!! Awesome Work Guys, Thanks 👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
I tell you, an episode of SBIG on a crappy day is great. And an episode of SBIG on a good day, is icing on the cake.
This movie was a tribute to Chuck's brother - Wieland Norris who was KIA Vietnam during Op Rip Cord.
I love your choices in films. Many of them I saw in the theater. I worked for the writer of this one for about 10 years.
8:01 Erin perfectly imitated Jason's "nuuu"
Erin with the old school Eddie Murphy laugh 😂
One of my favorite all time favorites, watching it with my 3 brothers.
Yay! I'm wearing my "When someone asks you if you're a God, you say YES!" shirt. Keep on keepin' on!
Ghosts sit around the campfire and tell Chuck Norris stories
I was working at a movie theater when this movie came around, so I got to see it a few times. I still remember the "gotcha" ending as the official says, "We categorically deny that there are any POWs remaining in the People's Republic of Vietnam," or something like that. Movies like this one we called "root beer events" because we always sold a lot of root beer for action movies, way more than for any other genre. Now you'll have to watch "Missing In Action 2" and "Invasion USA" to round out the full hyperpatriot Chuck Norris catalog.
"Chuck... Norris?" 😉
SBIG, baby! Cannon, baby! Let's f'kn go!!
I'll always remember the one where the bad guys bury Chuck alive in his truck, and he wakes up & just cracks a beer! That's a man's man, right there.
Chuck only had 1 emotion & facial expression his whole career. As did Seagal. Chuck was beloved for it because he's a nice guy & a legit badass. Sifu, on the other hand... 😆
Chuck is the best.
When I was like 12, my two older, metalhead cousins took me and my younger brother to see this on Thanksgiving Day. I think it was the most American I ever felt in my life.
Awesome pick Jason ! This one represents classic cannon at their best! This took me back to when I was 13 watching these terribly awesome movies. Thank you Sir!
“This guy is Dave’s spirit animal.” 😂😂😂
Loved this as a kid, thanks for another recent point of view, still loved this as a kid.
My god, I started filling up watching Erin filling up watching a Chuck Norris film 😂
When you baptize yourself in beer, that's called a Pabstism. (C) 1983 Chuck Norris LLC
It's always a weird feeling when you throw on a movie that my friends and I legit thought was a well made excellent film when we were kids lol
You’re only supposed to cry at a Chuck Norris movie when it’s over. Because you never want it to end.
This was the first Chuck Norris movie I ever saw. It was a memorable experience. Also growing up in the 1990's, every weekend seemed to play this movie or Delta Force pretty much on repeat either on Superstation, syndicated TV or any of the movie channels.
These movies are the chefs kiss of 80's/90's cinema. Thank you for this!
The funny thing about this movie its NOT the original to the trilogy. This is part 2. They filmed one and two (this one) together. And part one was about Chuck as a POW, and that was not well received for test audiences, but this one was received well, so they released this one first and then the other one as Part 2 as a prequel.
That's... strange. Looking forward to the second one.
Charles Norris?, that's Mr Norris to you, Brian.
Jason yelling Top Dog now you have to do that chuck norris gem
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I remember running around the woods behind my house carrying a toy gun pretending to be Chuck Norris from this movie. Funny thing is I hadn’t even seen it yet but knew it has to be the best thing ever. I finally did get to see it but it was heavily edited for tv, I didn’t care, it was awesome. Awesome video as well, thanks for bringing back so many great memories.
Rolling out the big guns lately! My jaw is still loose from the roundhouse kick of the announcement of The Last Kumite and you follow through with a Norrisian keystone via the bearded grenade of Missing in Action?! K.O. good sir
I get choked up during military movies all the time too Erin. 😢
Thank you. I remember going to see this with my father when I was 8.

5:42 James Hong has the most credits on IMDB of any actor ever. That’s why you see him in everything, cause he is
I was 🤣😂🤣😂 like hell when Brian said "This is the Millennium Falcon" about that junkyard boat.
Love the video! And Erin's "I'm on a truck" at 19:41 was laugh-out-loud funny 😂
Chuck Norris once threw a grenade and killed 50 people, then the grenade exploded.
🤣
Oh, that's a good one
Chuck Norris and James Hong in a Cannon film? F*CK YES
Chuck Norris and Cannon films, what else could you want for your day?
Add in a beer and I'm in heaven.
You know brian was cheering for the right team, he likes a plucky underdog beating the big bully!
I’m pretty sure we saw this at the drive in back in the day and it was amazing.
Aren't the MIA movies part of his famous Cannon contract? Also that blonde lady has 89 credits in IMD including Starship Troopers, Star Trek Next Gen, Knight Rider, and A-Team. That makes her bad-ass in geek pop culture. I bet she does signings at cons and everything. And that other guy was in Blade Runner.
Erin's "honksville" killed me haahahahah
Alot of the time I laugh from you all laughing! It's contagious! Haahahahahah
"Where's Becky?"
"She's taking a shit."
One of the greatest So Bad, It's Good movie lines ever.
I don't know what cannon films was smoking when they made this, but I like it.
8:00 That's a hefty "Nooooo" from Erin
James Hong is in everything, everywhere (but not quite all at once)
24:51 Personally, I think the sequel/prequel to this movie was better because you actually see Chuck Norris get out of Vietnam plus it had a better villain
The old dude with the diaper that walks into frame at 10:35 looks like he could be a "final boss" in this flick. He could drag a street fair behind him with no problem.
That thing that fell behind Erin's couch gave me a scare. For real. I thing I may be watching too many supernatural horror movies.
Young Erin resisting questioning/interrogation so as not to reveal she saw the movie Gremlins is really funny... and Chucknorris-ish
Really fun video! Even the adds!

I love this movie, haven't seen it in a while, though. Need to rectify that.
On wit da fun!!!
It is too bad that Chuck Norris and Charles Bronson never did a movie together. It would’ve been legitimately amazing.
Chuck Norris IS the 20-sided die from D&D...and no matter what the situation or the roll, the die always comes up "Chuck Norris, ya Beyatch!"
I Haven't seen this movie since the late 80's.. certifided classic
This movie is 90% real. Totally based on Steven Seagal's life.
Based on the recent news, I can't wait for Sifu Seagal to tell us he's been training the Spetsnaz personally.

I did say 90%. Chuck also didn't bang 11 women half his age in the movie. So maybe 85%.
