I know I’m late to the party on this but I just recently built this kit and it just blows me away. It is really well detailed and the amount of under gated parts is awesome. Simple build and you can get right to painting! It’s been a couple of years now since release but I’m surprised I haven’t heard more praise for this kit. I wonder if anyone else is impressed as I am?
RE is line for obsecure suit bandai can produce without invent so much for inner frame / complexity of MG. MG and RE will go along fine each other , just like RE Dijeh and MG Hyaku Shiki 2.0 .
the way you have it posed on the action base with the black background at the end of the video really makes it look like it's blasting through space! that backpack really gives it the look of momentum
So glad this got reprinted this year, as I've been trying to hunt it down for about 3 years now. Hoping to build it soon, just a shame I don't have the room for the fuel thingies on the back.
Dang, I love the design of this thing and everything it comes with. Love the soft colors as well. I bet this thing looks amazing with only some panel lining and topcoat.
So they actually made a kit for the Gundam that (initially?) wound up becoming the Zeon Mobile Suit Gerbera Tetra. That looks pretty awesome!! Those hands seem more like hands from High Grade kits, though. Maybe the Re/100 line is a sort of hybrid between the 1/100 HGs of old and the MGs? Definitely need to get this along with the GP01Fb, GP02A, & GP03S.
Great review. The GP series of Gundams have always been my favorites for a long time (other than the RX-79 G). I like the long rifle. The jitte actually being included is cool. BTW, the handle on the top is the carry handle. Looks like I will need to get another RE/100 kit.
I just built this kit not too long ago, and I have to say, I really don't mind the lack of an inner frame. Sure, in some ways it might be less possible, but the design of the suit and how I'll probably display it, it wouldn't benefit from it. Additionally, the lack of an inner frame should actually make this kit much easier to paint because it can be painted as larger sections with seam lines removed without the need to do significant modifications. I'm sure the lack of an inner frame might devastate the articulation of some kits (This kit will never be 1/10th as possible as the GM Sniper II), but for a space mobile suit, I don't think it needs nearly as much articulation. I doubt I'd ever be posing it in a kneeling firing position while hiding behind its shield like I have the GM Sniper. Most importantly, the price of the RE/100 kits so too good to pass up, looks like an MG, but priced like and RG.
Really nice and complex review. Are you planning to review HG V2 Assault Buster Gundam from May? It's my first model so far and I'm curious of your thoughts bout it :).
ZakuAurelius The only thing i don't like about the kit, is that you can build only one version of backpack without modyfying it a little (i'll be testing that later this week). Either way i hope you'll like it cause i had a lot of fun building it!
I have never ordered anything from hlj before. If it says "backordered" it means that the product is coming and i can order it but they will only ship it when all the products are present right?
I dont think Bandai will end the MG line and replace it with the RE/100 line. I firmly believe they use the RE/100 line to give us simply obscure secondary mobile suits a 1/100 scale chance. I mean fuck, their "planning" lineup had the Kshatriya! Do you think they'd make that an MG? God no, it would be WAY to expensive to produce that way, the RE/100 line is perfectly made for kits like the NZ-666!
Awesome review and I'm going to get this one and I've allready preordered the dijeh, and I also like the way this line is going and I agree that they should keep it in UC for now, but I don't want these to replace MG, I would like both lines to keep going, I do like kits like these that look good and are simple to build, but I usually prefer to build more complex(more pieces) builds, for me most of the time I want as many pieces as they can put in a model, because I like the build to take a long time to build, but I do like these RE kits, because some times I want a quick build and a nice looking kit without doing a lot of mods
The Dark Side nah RE is a sub line of 1/100 kits with obscure design, like the (insert obscure ms name here) and most of them didn't have a full innner drame
Awesome review, makes me wantto buy RE kits as well i am hyped for more RE kits like Reborns, Kshatriya, etc Bandai promised. And it doesnt cost like much Master Grade kits as well. :D
+Mark Mejia Sorry to be a buzzkill, but Bandai didn't "promise" those kits, just teased that they are being considered for production. We can hope, though!
I've built all RE kits except so far for the Dijeh and one thing I've noticed is that the more you play with the kits the looser their polycap joints become.

We shall see. Just ordered this and a GM command. Havent built since i was in japan so wish me luck lol
I agree! They’re very simple kits to prep for painting

I think I have a new favorite. I am absolutely loving these RE/100 kits!
Great review. I may have to pick this kit up. It wasn't really on my radar, but after seeing yours and a few other videos, it's growing on me.
Theibault I highly recommend it!

Great in-depth review. Keep up the great work. I was on the fence, but I'll be purchasing this kit now.
Juupo Thanks!
I have this kit. I enjoyed the build and custom paint job.

Fantastic review
You've definitely sold me on this. Gonna pick one up tomorrow ^__^
So awesome! Thanks so much for your videos!
Julian Ben You're welcome!

My return to Gunpla I have Nightingale, Banshee Norn, and a HG 1/100 V2.. Waiting in the wings.
Great Review. just got this kit.
Matthew Cabret You'll thoroughly enjoy it!
Great review as usual. This looks really nice. Hopefully Bandai makes a GP00 to go with this.
***** That would be awesome!
Great review
TheGunplameister Thanks!
"Big and long"
"It's really big"
" I really like the size of it
that's what she said

are they really gonna get rid of mg? that would suck, id love to see more of the seed, 00, IBO and UC series.
I doubt they will get rid of MG, just keep it as it is now~ only a few releases per year.
@@ZakuAurelius that sounds like the mg line already rip mg line 2016
Is it true that the RE-100 's joints get really loose soon after you build it, even when stored?
joints most of the times get loose when stored, but no when posed regulary
Nearly at 6k subs bro! Rock on!
johnboy384 Almost there! ^^
if u add panel line, this kit will blow ur mind away
I would like a Le Cygne in either the 1/144 HGUC or 1/100 RE line.
awesome review!.
BEAUTIFUL
love all your reveiws and what does RE stand for?
Reborn
ZakuAurelius thanks
Does this and the Gundam MK-III still hold up to this day sir?
in my opinion, yes.
@@ZakuAurelius Thanks for the reply!
Sweet! Going to give a shot at RE line with either of these two then.
The head tho so DETAILED!!!!
Really nice and complex review. Are you planning to review HG V2 Assault Buster Gundam from May? It's my first model so far and I'm curious of your thoughts bout it :).
Haha, yes I already have the HG V2 Assault Buster! It's waiting in the queue to be snapped for review~

Gunpla Builder Factory Yeah that just means that they are currently sold out. When they get more stock it will be available to be shipped!
Have you ever tried ordering anything that says "backprdered" and did you receive it?
Gunpla Builder Factory Yes, but it took a few months. You just have to be patient. Or find another site to buy the item from!

Chris Vinson MG isn't ending its just going ro be fewer releases
Not sure what the RE line is (are they no grades?) but they are not adequate replacements to MG
The Dark Side nah RE is a sub line of 1/100 kits with obscure design, like the (insert obscure ms name here) and most of them didn't have a full innner drame

Oh darn. But iu am still looking forward for more great kits from the RE line thanks t your video! :)
would like to see a RE destroy or psycho gundam
Tony Sun Theres not even a destroy gundam in 1/144.....
There's no GP04 in 1/144 either.
Jetfire48 I know right?
I really want an RE Kshatriya, Quin Mantha, and Psycho Gundam MK-ll
I’d love to see the Go4 and Go5 side story Gundams.
NoZaku MGs of those do exist.
Will you be getting the 2.0 Hyaku Shiki to review?
Keosermer Yes! Already got it! I'll try to work on it soon.
Why is this not a High Grade as well!? Dx
the torso proportion was odd.. as always great explanation and review..
muhammad riano Thanks!
I think there's a place for the RE kits but I just worry the MG kits will have too much to compete with between these and the RG kits.
What does OOB mean?
Out of the box. Means that its snapped build, no mods, no paints etc... its what u get from buying the kit
Loui Paran Oh ok thanks
Nice thanks to you I want to buy it and build it I must to have it xD nice sell dude
And nice review
awsome video as always , Wait your 1st RE? will you review more of this line :D ?
Budi kurniawan Definitely! I am really looking forward to future releases.
What does RE stand for?
Garrett Iverson REborn, the name of the line is Reborn One-Hundred.
Oh thanks!
Yei
YES Side Stories Efreet please!
superrobotfan1099 I'd love that!
Finally completed xD
I hate this line. MG for Life :( Nice review :D
this or the mk III ?
Personally I prefer the look of this one.
I've built all RE kits except so far for the Dijeh and one thing I've noticed is that the more you play with the kits the looser their polycap joints become.
TheNobleGunplar I felt that would probably be the case :/
Why do i feel like Bandai is trying to rub out the MG line ... RE reminds me of the first MG kits
That long rifle looks like it was based on an M-16
pixie gundam come at me bro
Ikr? I love the boosters on the sides of the fuel tank, makes it look like it can dash and dodge through space on some Armored Core shit.
Why couldn't they make it a master grade?
Vandoeun Long it wouldn't sell well
If this had come out this year it would've been P-bandai. Seriously what is up with the premium nonsense
ew the backpack attachment
