During the past 2 years, I and my partner were honestly trying to establish an online silver jewelry business. Unfortunately our efforts weren’t successful for a variety of reasons.
Recently we decided to try again in a proper approach.
We are still in the design and manufactures choosing phase, and because of that I traveled to Bangkok 10 days ago .
I truly believe we are serious in making the expected success, but I personally feel that something is missing.
My partner lives in London, and after watching a number of your informative video, I thought it would be nice to have my partner visit your office in London for the purpose of a general consultation, or to attend team discussion. I am strongly willing to start our business in a correct way.

Happy New Year! Thank you for sharing your process, it’s great that you are looking forward to restart your jewellery business and I am sorry it hasn’t worked out the way you have planned yet. Our HQ has moved from London to Berkhamsted and it would be preferable if you could send us an email at info@thaidesignuk.com with detailed sketches of your pieces so we can have a look at the designs you are wishing to produce and see if they would fit our production capabilities. Looking forward to hearing from you!

This series has been a godsend as I navigate this industry. I had a huge preference for gold-filled, but your video on gold plating was enlightening.

    Nice office, I love it!
You’re always helpful in all of your videos and very professional. I’m so glad I found your RUclips channel. I learn a lot in short time by watching your videos. I just started making and selling my jewelry on Etsy this year. In the future when my business grow, I would love to work with a manufacture to produce my designs. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and helpful tips! 🙏🤍

I'm new to this industry and I really appreciate you for sharing these knowledge, Kim! I'm currently building a jewelry curator brand and looking into multiple manufacturer's in-house collection. Is it a common practice or frowned upon to take a manufacturer's in-house collection to another manufacturer for production, if the latter one provides me cheaper price or higher quality?

I like the honesty of your question Lilly. Put it this way, if a manufacturer has their own in house jewellery range and they've created those peices from scratch (ie using their in house CAD designer to create from start to finish), it would feel a bit of an insult to then send those designs at a later stage to another manufacture to copy, solely because the latter is cheaper or they offer a lower quantity. Out of principle, it is not correct, however it is a common practise still used today. I'm sure it's happened to us at some point in our years of being in the business but in the trade, one acknowledges that some people will do this and you can not stop them... I often tell our young children - even though you have the right to do something, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.

I own a black stainless steel watch can i gold plate it or does it have to be silver stainless steel to apply the plating

You can plate on stainless but at the plating plant we use they would need to plate it in a (primer) coat first to then plate in gold plate afterwards. As we don’t work in stainless steel it’s not something we’ve had to do before.
