Hello, reading in the comments I found out that grandmother has died. I am sorry from the bottom of my heart that she has enjoyed a long life. May her soul rest in the Lord.😢😢
I love to hear Grandma's stories. I don't understand a word but the cadence of her voice just makes me feel happy.
I helped my parents make currant jam every year. We saved every bottle and jar. If they didn't have lids, we topped the jam with parafin wax.. We washed the wax and reused it if there was no mold or dust. We covered the wax with cloth and tied it with string. These days nobody does that. Our jam kept for a year. We made pie crust cookies with whatever was left over or the stuff we skimmed off. Yummy!😮❤🙃

@@thelmaguaetta1109 I was raised in Central NY. On farms and in foster homes. We picked and kind of fruit for jam. Cheap and yummy. Still make sugar free jam for my old diabetic body..❤️🙃☺️

There is something so sweet about old grandmas. They see their daughters learn, and they see their grandchildren learn. The continuity and passing down of wisdom is very precious. I wish everyone had mothers and grandmothers near them, but not everyone is so blessed.

Your grandma is so talkative! It was fun to hear her tell her stories, even though I didn’t understand. Also, enjoy seeing the simpler times. (I think that’s the first time I saw them water with a hose!)

Красная смородина лечит аллергию. Муж очень мучился. Никакие лекарства не помогали. Старенький профессор в мед.инстмтуте посоветовал кушать именно красную смородину. Я в сезон каждый день ходила на базар и покупала литровую банку ягод и заставляла мужа кушать. И о чудо, через два месяца мужу стало намного лучше. Я посадила у себя на участке 50 кустов красной смородины. Перетираю ее в пюре и замораживаю. Муж кушает просто так. Детям варю кисели, использую как начинку в пироги. Будьте здоровы!
