If you want to save MCA then change NIMCET pattern. It’s worst when a CS student studies 80% math for no reason. And then when students got entered into NIT, they only knew mathematics without any proper knowledge about CS fundamentals. Here the tough part starts. Now you have only 2 years in MCA to sharpen your skills, but it’s not possible for many students because all students aren’t from CS backgrounds, so it’s easy for them to enter through NIMCET, but it’s difficult for them to survive afterwards. If you see closely then most of the students in NIT are from non-cs background. That kind of students is destroying the image of MCA. So, we need to implement the GATE syllabus in MCA entrances where we need to study 80% CS rather than anything else. And then if you entered into MCA, you know the basic CS fundamentals; now you can focus on other things related to your placement from day one.

I think MCA and BCA is not required now a days also if MCA is terminated by an nit then at the other hand these tier 1 colleges also launching new opportunities you should go for them. Also they are changing the education curriculum for the future so it's better to opt for newly launched opportunities because they are the future.

BCA mein 3 saal ki degree 3-4 lakh ka hota hai, Do you even know ki agar tumhari financial condition ( less than 1.2 lakh per year ) achi nhi hai toh IITs/NITs tumse 0 (zero) fees charge karti hai. Government colleges like Jadavpur 4 years ki Bachelor degree sirf 9,400 rs pe deti hai. Asal tum lok financial conditions ko apna excuse bana lete ho! Aur baat hardwork ki uska naam bhi mat lo tum pe suit nhi karta! Pehle tumhari aukat dikhao IITs / NITs pe jaane ka uske baad ye sab excuse dena!
