Nice looking clipper pattern. I tie mine on a long shank hook. Black marabou tail, heavy gauge wire, maybe 7-9 wraps, blended woodchuck underfur for body (sometimes I’ll add some Whitlock Helgrammite dubbing to this blend) and I spin black deer hair to make the head and trim it to resemble the head of a helgrammite. I’ll leave a few stray long black deer hair on each side. Fish it euro style with a tandem rig. Forget it. I absolutely destroy nice browns with it. It’s an incredible pattern.
Kia ora,, awesome tie of Taniwha and great video, thumbs up, many thanks will try to tie one and use it in rivers and lakes in Kaingaroa forest.Much appreciate it and regards,, Tony.
