My dad was a bricky and wanted me to do the same but at the time it wasn't for me. I became a hgv driver. Watching this talented man I wish Id watched and listened to my dad. Great work Stu.
Ey terry it’s never too late to get into bricklaying buddy 😁
@@Stucrompton1 Thanks Stu. I might just give it a go.
Good Job - would be beneficial to see the internal components of the wall too though, to see how it all fits together and how the finish on the inside is achieved 👌
Looks so much more modern with the stone cills n white PVC. Brightens the property up no end. Lovely job kidda.
looks miles better john thanks for watching pal
Great video stu, keep them coming mucker.
Nice to see a guy enjoying his trade and taking pride in his work.
Hope the academy goes well for you
stu I’m currently doing an apprenticeship in bricklaying and have learnt a lot from your vids keep it up mate
glad i could help u :)
I’ve had seven guys out to quote in Gosforth and was told that bricking up a doorway and putting in a window was, and I quote: “too much labour”.
After using Stu’s vids to renovate the first floor brickwork of the same property I think I might have a go at this...what could go wrong? 😄
Really enjoy these vids and I don't know why .I done bricklaying in college for 2 years but never followed it through as a career very hard trade
Yes quality builder stu and nice to see you working with your dad you make a great team
Awesome job as always mate, but I want to say thankyou for the time you must put into these videos, most of the time your labouring for yourself while doing the job and got the camera to think about too, appreciate what you do mate.
Quality job
thanks very much thats nice of you shane and dont forget the 5 hours it takes to edit the video lol nice to know some people know just exactly what goes into providing free content :)

Hi stu, am building at my own house just finished the gable today it's facing brick and just wondered your opinion on the guys who say they can lay 1000 facers a day I reckon on average I'm about 5 to 6 hundred what about you.
same as you mate, 500 correctly laid brick are better than 1000 tip and run joint roughly finished :)
Cheers mate feel better hearing that have a good one🤘
Top job lads
nice one james
Your that good you don't even do full purps on the bricks
That is a rough brick to lay I've laid it many times here in the USA for me the best way to lay that brick is fast and get it out of the way
I reckin I like what I see. You did a great job and I LOVE THE MUSIC!
That existing compo looks hard.
+Mark Felts solid mark had a nightmare cleaning all old bricks off!
Enjoy watching your videos, you're a good trowel. They're horrible bricks to lay but you did a good job,
just one question.. How come you didn't use dpc under the window cill? Is there a need for it or no
good video nice work what are the bricks calle
Another great video matey 👌🏻
cheers david pal
Hi mate why did you insert the concrete screws the joints whe. They should go into the bricks
How much would something like this cost?
Hey Stu! I hope you resting today! What's the weather in Britania?
Great work Stu, keep the videos coming!!! like your style of music used in your vids, can tell name of the ones here?
Maybe the computer doesn't bring across the mortar color correctly. Appears that you used brown mortar vs the grey mortar on the original joints?
do you not need to put any 18" DPC around the cill ,,cheers
I've just bricked up a pvc door for a window, I've brought a new glazed window from Facebook makert place. What do we do to the bricked area to prepare to install the window? Any tips and must do advice please!?
Bang on
Why do you not make your own trials
What about the internal block work?
Good works as always stu. You ever used tyzack trowels mate?
ive not scott but heard they're good and rose too
All I can find is wooden line blocks, the rot. I want to find some plastic ones.
The new wall tie invention is wiked 💯... stu quick question you have removed the door and fitted a window how to you enter the house? Through the window 😂😂😂
Whats the second song I like it :)
Hi Stu,can I know how much you charge for one square meter laying bricks???
Stu whats this song called bud?
Are you still taking on work?
How did the customer take it when they came home to find they no longer had a door to get into their house?
they have a side door bud
Personally, I liked the door and old window better but I reckon the owner had their reasons.
Name of the song at the end?
Stu your a really skilled briki and know your stuff but im afraid the music lets you down
i cant cater for everyone jordan some people love it some people dont thats life pal
Could yon make a video on stone please☺☺☺
i will try soon orlando :)
Thank you very munch stu ☺☺☺
How come your mortar is always a red’ish colour? 🧐
The sand can be a redish colour or yellow,it depends on where you are👍
👍
While I realize everyone has their own reasons, I never understood the logic of bricking up a door. If you don't need that door, then just use it as a wall and the door can serve almost just as effectively as a window.
Superman wouldn't wear his underpants inside-out.
👍✌🇬🇧
Social distancing to the extreme. Remove the door and brick it up. Gonna use that for the Mother in law.
Hey Stu, Great job. Can you do mine please ? Quote ? thanks Ian CH7 Buckley
