thanks! great tips on how you can use it! I've been using notepad++ and just fold sections by using brackets but no more! will convert my notes first thing in the morning when I get to work! :)
DOOOOD, thanks for taking the time to explain this. I was a bit helpful. But it would have been massivly more helpful had you taken the time to learn it first.
To hide per file settings I use org DRAWER to hide them with tab :PROPERTIES: #+TITLE: My todo list #+TODO: TODO(t) WAIT(w@/!) IN-PROGRESS(i!) | DONE(d!) CANCELED(c@) :END:
Hey, Love the video. your organizational skills are amazing. Can I get a copy of how you structure your .org files? Or can you do a tutorial on how you structure your documents
Good stuff! Love your videos but I just can't get myself to love emacs. :) I've tried many times to get into it because it's so geeky and cool, but the learning curve is ridiculous. I can't deal with a tool that takes days/weeks to actually start feeling productive and useful.
u could do as i did and start with spacemacs as vanilla emacs was too messy for me. doom emacs is abother option that people go to, and prefer to emacs. the entry ticket is hard, but only the first few steps are difficult, then it s easy. use the lockdown to get back onto the emacs train
'Ya think? OMG, if he went down one more wrong trail and started a new file I was goiing to scream! WHY do people who want to make a video explaining something not figure it out before trying to expain it to me? And why not prepare in advance? A simple script on the back of an old envelope would be enough. ARRRRG

C-x C-q toggles read only mode in current buffer. That might be a reason why the were not working at 32 minutes.

You should read the info manual of org mode. It is interesting to read through. "C-h i" should bring up a list of info manuals.
Thank you, this was very helpful

You can have:
#+TAGS: tags here
#+TAGS: more stuff
...
How to find files with your tags in this way?
seems that you are not that familiar with emacs operations in this video. Still need more pratics.
