Hi, I'm just wondering with such incredible scanning, direct select abilities and cognition why a more hi-tech voice out put device was decided upon. or as with PECS move to sentence formulation on a sentence strip? just curious..thank you
Kathryn Dorney this NOT pecs which is a part of aba and the acronym should only refer to the copyrighted system but podd can be used used in Pick up and give or show format Useful for people who are visually distractible.Also useful for people who benefit by having a concrete symbol to remove and pass to their partner, or by creating sentences on a strip.PODDs with pull offs can quickly become bulky, therefore only key words are usually made removable.If direct pointing can be taught, this is encouraged as soon as possible
