Are you saying that connecting a turntable to the RCA in causes sound degradation? This device doesn't have a phono preamp, which is absolutely required for most turntables. Without the phono preamp, it will sound very bad indeed, super quiet. To use a turntable with this device, you'd need to use a separate phono preamp first.
