I hope that one day I can also be as influential as all these amazing people through my animations. Looking forward to part 3 and 4 - *Great* job guys!
PixelKonny64 Michael Greger and Neal Barnard are doctors that recommend a vegan diet, Michael Greger wrote the best seller "how not to die" and Neal Bernard is the doctor and president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine "(pcrm) they are also against using animals in medical research
Inspiration from PBN often keeps me motivated when the odds seem stacked against a vegan future; motivated to keep being an activist, to keep spreading the vegan message, and to keep helping the animals, earth, and other's health. Watching PBN vids often makes the crushingly overwhelming carnist world feel more hopeful and bearable to me. Thanks PBN :D
Utado Ladii he is plant based not only vegan. He uses animals in research also there is an interview with him here on RUclips where he says several times that he doesn't recommend a vegan diet but a plant based one, even if it is called low fat high carb vegan diet he kind of had a problem with the word "vegan" because it refers to the ethical concern not for health. I think he is just plant based not vegan
I think that this list is primarily based on their reach and conversion rates, hence why it is titled "influential." I think that is why celebrities and big online presences are ranking higher up than many politicians, doctors, and researchers. Although their work is incredibly important in supporting the vegan message, they aren't necessarily the most influential.
I loved seeing Dr. Campbell and Mic. on this video and can't wait to see the other two! They're great: I get excited every time I see someone I already admire, but at the same time get to know loads of great people and campaigns!
Would be cool if I could click the video description and see the time line scale thingy for each person so that I can later jump straight to the part of video I want to see
I hope Stella Mccarthy makes it somewhere she is single handedly changing the high fashion game. the only high fashion label to use vegan materials she doesn't even use PU she has her own vegan leather material and other ethically sourced environmentally friendly materials. even her collaborations with Adidas used no suede or leather and still sold out at those luxury prices something Rihanna and puma can learn from. it's funny her former label ceo said to her she would never make it as a designer handbag label by using no leather and today her vegan handbags retail for 2-3k which I'll pay any day over chanel!
great stuff!!! love that Mic is so high up!!! it would be nice to have some info on the people that are commenting in the video and maybe a link to the websites!!
Louie Psyhoyos should be NUMBER ONE.. he directed RACING EXTINCTION which brought to light SO many vegan stories and his next film is about VEGAN ATHLETES... Adore him and his work!!
What wonderful news, what a wonderful bunch of people, most of whom I don't know or haven't heard about, each doing their thing all over the world and in so many different ways and in so many different areas of life... so good to hear about so many effective, passionate vegan people who are out there giving life their all...
I loved part 1 - love part 2 - soooo looking forward to part 3,4,5 etc ... my only request - Gary Yourofsky needs to be in the top 5 - he dedicated his life to veganism - I am vegan because of his literature and he retired because he was drained from fighting the good fight - what an amazing human and even though he is retired - his lectures online will convert thousands of not millions in years to come - a true hero in our time - mad love for him !
PLANT BASED NEWS I mean, nobody knows your names so you could just out yourselves in and tell everything but the fact that you're PBN... :P I think you deserve it even if it's arrogant :D
Hey Klaus and team, Where / when can we see all these good interviews, but, the full clips rather than a micro second or two of them? I'd love to know more about most of these great people!
OMG! Paul Shapiro, changed my life! When I was in college in WDc, in the late 90s, I interned with Compassion Over Killing. Paul was one of the leaders of the organization. He was an amazing activist then. I had no idea where he went.
I find it hard to hear the speakers with the music in the background. I don't remember this being a problem on Part 1. Loving this series so much and don't want to miss a word. I wonder if there's a version without the music?
Ellen? She doesn't really do much though, she's just famous. Patrik Baboumian should be in the top 15, at least. I like Jon Venus and Family Fizz (or whatever their name is now) too.
im from italy and currently trying to inform my family on plant-based nutrition and it's health-environment-ethics correlations, despite their tipically conservative, misinformed, skeptical attitude on the topic ;^)
Thanks for all this work... I would however like to caution that your verbiage around most of the women is related to them being beautiful and energetic vs the men all seem to have skill and accomplishment rather than their looks mentioned.
Zem if you read the book you would see he talks about this. yes he did test on animals but his influence helped convert many to veganism or whole food plant based diets. he has saved far far more animals than killed by testing. unfortunately it was the only way to get this information out there in science
Some are unknown, my friend Eugene reached about 20,000,000 with PPV video ads of factory farm video and had 1,000's of going veg comments as leaflet Ed colleges and concerts for half a million for vegan outreach volunteer
I think I have a strategy for the vegan community, especially planners and leaders: you may have considered this already, but getting athletes to go vegan will be the critical mass needed to cause the movement to explode. Already, the few athletes that have joined are tremendous. They are extremely important to counter arguments against veganism. Sure, we can make medical and scientific arguments, but isn't it better just to say 'look at world record powerlifter XYZ. Do they have strength or stamina problems?' or mention some Olympic sprinters and such in arguments. It's a very concise and decisive argument for veganism. The argument of the humanity of veganism appears to be a turn-off for mainstream America, but evidence of strength, power, stamina, youth, vitality and superior health will work faster and have a higher success rate.
Attention please: Matthieu Ricard is sociating and publishing books with the most notorious vivisector Wolf Singer from Max Planck Institute! They edited a book together 'Meditation and brain research' - and I doubt that he ignores that his associate is torturing monkeys to death!
I'd like to say I'm a big potato guy, where when I eat them I'll eat large amounts of baked slices without oil. Extremely healthy! Vitamin C: tons! Get some a couple days a week.
As with the last installment, this must be in no particular order..... you can't put T. Colin Campbell under some one hit wonder actress who gave a speech once.
Colin Campbell should be in the top 5, I have bought three copies of the china study 2 in Italian 1 English everybody reads and becomes Vegan, some of the people above are ridiculous
Pls think about picturing Felix Hnat president of the vegan society austria, has been imprisoned for his work and still fights with love and compassion for animal rights all over europe.. creating with his employees many vegan events that help growing a vegan movement in austria which is one of the countries with a big change since he and Martin Balluch a Dr of Astronomie brought a big change to society by winning the biggest justice case since ww2 in austria
Sorry but the potato only man is not more influential then Caldwell Esselstein, Patrick Baboumian, Earthling Ed, Tim Shieff, Garth Davis, the creator of anonymous for the voiceless or people who didn’t appear on this list like Vegan Gains, Joey Carbstrong, and Simnet Nutrition.
Thanks for including me! This must have taken a TON of work so way to go!!
Mic. the Vegan would you mind if I interview you for a digital magazine I plan to launch? it's targeting males. we need more men to go vegan
How could you NOT be on this list?!?! Go Mic!!
I think you might be my fave, and i hope i meet you one day. Cheers brother!
Microphone! Did you make the 2020 list?
I hope that one day I can also be as influential as all these amazing people through my animations.
Looking forward to part 3 and 4 - *Great* job guys!
Thank you!
VegAnimation I hope that I don't have the possibility to become that famous as an activist because animal activists won't be needed anymore. :-)
PixelKonny64 That is the perfect scenario of course x)
VegAnimation Yeah. ^^ But I think you can become famous as well. I've been looking for something like your videos for a long time... I love them!
Thanks a lot! Glad you found what you've been looking for x)
Absolutely love this. No matter if you're on the list or not, your activism matters.
Hope I can do that more with my career as an opera singer.
How am I not on this list? I've converted like 4 people with my influence.
Edit: Oh yeah. There are still 2 more videos. :D
Ren Assance haha well done!
Love it!
Ive just turned my friend vegetarian, next step vegan lol
El Maeve congrats!
This type of videos and people make me really happy
Beep Boop indeed
Good stuff; through these videos I learn about other vegans that I was unaware of...thanks Klaus
Can't wait for the top 10 😍
It's gonna be epic!
Let me guess... Leane Ratcliffe, Richard Burgess, Michael Greger, Neal Barnard, Gary Yourofsky... I dunno.
El Vegano Cordobes I only know Gary of those names... ^^ what about bite size vegan and james apsley?
PixelKonny64 Michael Greger and Neal Barnard are doctors that recommend a vegan diet, Michael Greger wrote the best seller "how not to die" and Neal Bernard is the doctor and president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine "(pcrm) they are also against using animals in medical research
Sibi Now that you say it, I remember greger ^^...
Ellen Fisher is my #1 💜 🙌🏽
...also forever in love with Mic the Vegan 😍
Thanks to this video we're more educated! Very inspirational!
So glad you liked it!
Inspiration from PBN often keeps me motivated when the odds seem stacked against a vegan future; motivated to keep being an activist, to keep spreading the vegan message, and to keep helping the animals, earth, and other's health. how is T Colin Campbell not no. 1? like seriously?
Utado Ladii he is plant based not only vegan. I think he is just plant based not vegan
Utado Ladii Cause he ain't Barnard, Greger, or Essylstyn. 😎
The China Study IS LEGENDARY, though!
Epic as always. Great job!

This is so inspiring!!
I wonder where Gary Yourofsky will land on this list. Sad to hear he has retired
finally....Part 2 yeahhhh hope soon for the rest 😁🤘
I hope Stella Mccarthy makes it somewhere she is single handedly changing the high fashion game. the only high fashion label to use vegan materials she doesn't even use PU she has her own vegan leather material and other ethically sourced environmentally friendly materials. even her collaborations with Adidas used no suede or leather and still sold out at those luxury prices something Rihanna and puma can learn from. it's funny her former label ceo said to her she would never make it as a designer handbag label by using no leather and today her vegan handbags retail for 2-3k which I'll pay any day over chanel!

I wonder where PBN put themselves :D
We are not on the list... we DO the list. LOL (Jokes..) Just happy to be sharing the amazing work and efforts of all these incredible people...
PLANT BASED NEWS I mean, nobody knows your names so you could just out yourselves in and tell everything but the fact that you're PBN... :P

The author of the Chin Study is only 64 this is crazy TOP 10 Man The freaking China Study and he's 64 Really ?????
Yeah, I agree, considering that Michael Greger is going to be a top 10, this is kinda letdown.
Hoopty Boontain are u aware this is a 2017 list based on audience feedback? thanks for watching
Hey Klaus and team,
Where / when can we see all these good interviews, but, the full clips rather than a micro second or two of them? I'd love to know more about most of these great people!
Bosh definitely my favorite on part 2!! I tried getting my nephew to do the Veganuary challenge but he back down last minute!😔😔😔
Great video
Thank you so much!
I wonder if there's a version without the music?

koayogi i agree. i got editing fatigue so badly and need to apologise to them
I'm one of them :)
Ellen? She doesn't really do much though, she's just famous. Patrik Baboumian should be in the top 15, at least. I like Jon Venus and Family Fizz (or whatever their name is now) too.
Beaux Richards Patrick was in part 1 :)
GO Mike!!!!! Mic the Vegan 💙
im from italy and currently trying to inform my family on plant-based nutrition and it's health-environment-ethics correlations, despite their tipically conservative, misinformed, skeptical attitude on the topic ;^)
Phillip Wollen made me a Vegan
Dr. Campbell should be no. 1!
Pretty cool!!
Thanks for all this work... I would however like to caution that your verbiage around most of the women is related to them being beautiful and energetic vs the men all seem to have skill and accomplishment rather than their looks mentioned.
I really like Mommy Tang and Ellen Fisher but how the youtubers can be higher than T Colin Campbell?
hi there, thanks for your comment. are you aware that it is a 2017 list based on audience feedback?
oh, right! sorry, i overlooked it! in this case i totally agree with you!
*Lovely!!*
hope to make the list someday!
Go Ellen
T Colin Campbell tests on animals, therefore is plant based and not vegan.
lightdark00 Veganism isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle.

lightdark00 There is no such thing as a 'vegan diet', it's a 'plant based diet'.
why are the commentators not credited?
Paul Shapiro, animal interests, food animals, wtf?
Some are unknown, my friend Eugene reached about 20,000,000 with PPV video ads of factory farm video and had 1,000's of going veg comments as leaflet Ed colleges and concerts for half a million for vegan outreach volunteer
LMFAO THUMBNAIL
Thanks for sharing. Go vegans!
Ellen and Mic!!!
HOPE I MADE THE CUT!!!!

Joe Smith agreed
