    You could always plug a capacity checker into the balance port, so you can see any low (on load) cells. Shame it wasn't included 'in the box', as they're only a couple of quid.

      You can do that. I do it. But that is not the point. Discharger should 'know' if certain cell goes too low on voltage and stop discharging or even start program for balanced discharge cell by cell.

    I use small ISDT FD100. It does same same job for half price. Only thing it is loud as jet engine :) As you said that BD250 is missed opportunity. Proper discharger should have individual cell monitoring over balance lead. When they make something like that then I will upgrade.

    Thanks again for a great informative video. I am using an alternative to this - the SkyRC BD350 linked to my SkyRC D200neo. That gives me full control of all the cells while discharging. But more expensive I guess. But since I already had the charger I chose this alternative 👍

    I agree with everything you say its still the best one I've used and pretty quiet too compared to the isdt . Its just a shame that 90% of my batteries end up been discharged on this because off the weather . in the uk you definitely need one lol

    I have another approach to this problem. I disharge my full batteries with one of my EDF planes. Run it for two minutes and let the charger do the final storgage and balancing😊

    Bought the original and the voltage depression from discharging trips it way before reaching actual storage voltage, even at low-amp discharge. Don't suppose they fixed it on this one?

      From mine, no. The voltage at rest always ends up higher than what the discharger termination was set for. I’ve learned to set the target voltage slightly lower than intended storage voltage, how much lower depending on the discharge current and battery capacity.

    What amps do you discharge at for different batteries? I have 5000mah 4s bashing packs, 3000mah 3s crawling batteries and small 4s drone batteries.

      I usually set of for about 4 amps... Happy flying

      The maximum would be limited by the battery’s output limit (c rating, capacity) or the discharger’s 250 watt maximum.
      When you set the target voltage, though, it shuts down when the pack hits that voltage under the load you’ve selected. The pack’s voltage will end up higher when it’s been at rest. I’m generally in no great hurry when discharging at home, so I use pretty low amp setting so the batteries finish at close to the storage voltage I’ve selected. Hope that makes sense.

    I ordered this model but it is for LFP batteries
    too bad the device doesn't manage 1 battery at a time
    I had cells to test individually
    but it doesn't matter I will make a pack of 2S in LFP
