- So I’ve been asked a lot about the size and difference between these two ovens. So here it is. @Gozney Arc is absolutely awesome. Looks epic and performs like a commercial unit. Bake 16” pizza with room to spare. #gozney #pizza #cookdifferent #gozneyarc
Thank you Adam for the detailed explanation between the ovens. I appreciate. 😊
Exactly the video I was looking for!
Heck yeah dude, thanks for the explain!
Looks stunning and thanks for the video!
Currently rocking a Roccbox, which started feeling too small as I cook bigger dinners with it, thought to upgrade to a dome for a while but it was slightly too big.
Seems like the ARC will be my upgrade!
Thanks.
Nice one Adam
Cheers Adam.
Welk meel gebruik je voor het deeg van je pizza in de foodtruck?
Hello ! My question is a bit complex.
I'm thinking about buying 2 arcs to make contemporary napolitan pizzas for my mobile business.
I need a cooking temp of 380-400 degree, but not more, because of the high hydration, if I cook them at 450c it would be too wet.
So, i'm wondering if it's possible to have a consistant cooking temp of 400 degree and stay around this temp between pizzas ? Or you would need the oven at maximum power so the heat would be too much and stay around 450? what about the stone also, does it stays hot well?
thanks :)
@peddlingpizza Adam, the long long flame looks lovely, but does it make the oven more susceptible to wind than, say, the Roccbox?
Also, given the talk about heat retention, I am concerned about handling the thing to bring it back under cover after use. From full heat, how long would you estimate it would take for the outside to be cool enough for it to be (one person) liftable without gloves (wouldn’t want to drop it!)
What are the tools you got with the blue stick? I love them!
Do you think the Gozney Arc XL could be suitable for a small pizza business, or is the Gozney Dome a better choice due to its temperature retention after baking 15-20 pizzas?
How gas efficient is the new ARC XL especially compared to the dome with the neopolitan door accessory?
Would love to know the difference in time both take to heat up on gas? Maybe to 500f and then 900f etc?
Thanks to your excellent review (I have now subsribed) and Harpland Productions, I have gone ahead and pre-ordered the Arc XL in black, with the booster. Very excited to replace my old Ooni Pro with it.
Did you replace the Ooni Pro yet? I’ve been using a Pro that last 5 years and will upgrade later this year (probably Arc XL). Would be interested to know if you noticed any significant differences either good or bad?
@@RossByrne-xr4vp As it happens, the Arc XL in black eventually arrived and it is goooooood, but a different beast to the Ooni. The Ooni now looks like a DIY homemade pizza oven 😂 I used wood/charcoal in the Ooni and the big difference I am seeing is that the Arc really retains it's heat where the Ooni seemed to lose it every time I opened the door. Using gas is a lot easier and quicker and before you ask, I do have the gas attachment for the Ooni and this week cooked pizzas in them both at the same time and the Arc was just nicer to use, the flame arcing over the dome really makes a difference. The gas attachment in the Ooni looks like a drag racer. Hope this helps. Using both again on Friday for a pizza party (yes, even in the UK) so can feedback more
@@kirkside78 different beast how? I use gas on the Pro as just found it easier than managing a fire all the time? Worth the upgrade?
I am hesitatn between the Arc and the ooni koda 16, what you suggest? Usually cook pizza for either family or parties, the preheating time seems quite longer for the arc
@peddlingpizza when are you dropping a full review video?
I have experience working in pizzerias, and now I have the opportunity to work in a pizza catering for 50-60 people, but outdoors. In the pizzeria, I worked with gas pizza ovens, but now I need to buy a small oven. Would your suggestion be the Pizza Party Emozione, Gozney Arc (Small), or Gozney Roccbox (maybe two pieces)? Please reply. Thank you!"
Great video. Putting price aside for someone who wants to make pizza (NY & neapolitan), bake bread and do a lot of outdoor cooking would you go with the Dome or the Arc? Get there is some new tech/features in the Arc but is it better than the OG?
Dome sounds a better option for what you are after. You can do all sorts in Arc but 300c coal fired pizza in Dome is epic. Plus you can do wood fired and lots of other stuff.
Thanks for the comparison👌🏻. Do you know if the ark standard would go through the gas a lot quicker than a rocbox if cooking back to back Neapolitan pizzas ? Thanks
Honestly not sure. Imagine it will be a little more thirsty.
Want!!
Hi there, thank you for the great video. Could you cook short ribs and other meat in the Arc like you said you do with the Dome?
It’s not designed for low and slow.
Thanks for this. Any concerns regarding the vent versus having a flue?
Nah. Seems to work a treat
Considering we’ve got the space for the oven in our kitchen easily, could the arc (xl) be used indoors…? We might want to get it for our mums birthday but if it’s only possible to use outside we have to reconsider it.. It just looks so cool and the pizzas you can make with it seem to be top notch!🤩
Arc is only approved to be used outside.
Great vid! Can you slow cook on the Arc?
Don’t see why not for certain things. Not like the Dome though as that can run on wood and coal for low and slow.
The arc already looks likle it has some soot build up on the top of the oven near the grill, while your dome is pristine. Is that just the lighting? Did you find the longer chimney helped with the dome?
Dome had a good clean up after months of no use. I’ve been smashing all sorts through the arc. I don’t go easy on my ovens and there’s been steaks, fish, pizza and all sorts through it. Any soot is minimal and cleans off with a damp cloth when oven is cool.
Hi, how is the arc handling soot compared to the roccbox? I found that my Roccbox gets very sooty inside, probably due to the front exhaust. It ends up getting all blackened inside up top. Granted it can be cleaned, but it gets a bit messy
Arc runs very clean actually. I’ve cooked all sorts in mine and soot is minimal.
I am curious how many hours you can run that burner on a standard propane tank? Thanks for the video.
Not too sure on the gas specs yet. Definitely uses less than Dome which at max will churn through 500g propane per hour.
Do you have any experience with the Ooni Karu ? I’m trying to decide between the Arc XL and the Karu ?
No sorry. Gozney ovens are far superior though.
Is there an Arch for Gozney Arc XL? Do temperatures drop after baking 15-20 pizzas?
Doesn’t need an arch. I’ve not put that many through it in a row yet. But it seems to hold up very well indeed
Infortunately, the price dont drop after 15 🍕
How's the flame control.? Will it be good to cook something other than napolitan pizza?
Yeah it’s awesome. I’ve done a few other bits in playing about.
At the end you mentioned the Arc would be more reliable than a roccbox, any specific reason why?
Thicker stone, stronger burner, better insulation.
Can you use the mantle and door for dome with arc?
And with burner securely covered, possible to use wood in the ARC?
No to all.
Why did you bin ya barby? how do you cook up snags in the Gozney?
Sounds like Gozney put a lot of research into the new flame for the Arc … do you think they will transfer this over and upgrade the Dome ???
Looking to buy one but wouldn’t spend the money if an upgrade is coming soon.
Any insights?
As far as I’m aware there’s no plans to change Dome. The flame works perfect on Dome.
Is the digital temp gage removable? Battery powered?
Yes
You think transporting the arc xl for tailgating would be doable ?
Most definitely. Arc XL is about 27kg
More reliable than a Roccbox? Can you expand on this a little further?
A more powerful side burner and bigger stone area = more stable heat.
How does the Arc compare to dome for non pizza recipes?
Epic. Did some lovely chicken wings last night and if you check my insta I did a solid Rib eye the other day. Flame is closer to the food so no need for a long pre heat on a cast iron pan.
Gozney Roccbox vs Gozney Arc? I'm only interested in which one better maintains temperature and is better for baking pizzas consecutively? This is the only parameter that interests me. Strictly 11-inch pizzas. Thank you
Arc is better than Roccbox and will be more stable.
Amazing mate just found u
Which oven has the bigger internal stone width? Or bigger stone in general?
Dome internally. Especially running gas
Thank you. You’re the man Adam. Your Neapolitan Gozney video is the reason I’m making pizza. Cheers from San Francisco 🤙🏾
It seems to me that the Gozney Arc XL is designed for home use, for making a smaller number of pizzas, for the possibility of roasting meat, with a large opening and easier use for people with less experience and weaker technique. I have used Roccobox and Dome S1, at least in appearance, with a large opening that leads to temperature loss, it seems that the Gozney Arc XL cannot compete with Roccobox and Dome ovens for use with a larger number of pizzas and catering. What is your opinion?
It’s way more able than Roccbox. It sits between roccbox and Dome s1 for performance.
How does smoking work for the Dome? Do you have a video of smoking meats?
Get it hot on wood. Let it die down to embers and use charcoal and I usually use a chunk of cherry or something. Slam in my short ribs and stick the door on. Adjust air vents and let it rip. It will run for hours on a very small amount of fuel.
Tnx for the great review. But what is the price range ?
Prices are available on @gozney website.
@@peddlingpizza Tnx I’ll have a look
Do you know how long it takes to heat up for the first pizza?
25 mins or so.
Thanks!
I'm interested in comparing the Gozney Arc and Gozney Arc XL for pizza businesses and catering. Does the Arc hold temperature better and recover faster than the Gozney Arc XL? Also, comparing the Gozney Arc versus the Gozney Roccbox for business, with a bit more focus on the business vibe. Most reviews are geared towards home use and regurgitating data, without real restaurant experience. Even people buying for home use find added value knowing it can be used for commercial purposes. That's why everyone is asking for a comparison between the Gozney Roccbox and Gozney Arc!
is the Arc stand the same or diffrent from the dome?
It’s completely different
does that stand work with the 14 inch arc as well?
@@peddlingpizza
@@Loss8131The impression given to me in Tom G’s “Introducing the Arc” video is that both Arc and XL fit the same stand and booster.
I have a halo versa 16, it’s the best for NY style, have you found it’s doable with gozney? The halo versa stone rotates and has a bottom burner as well as top 😊
What is the price of the new XL I mean it’s up it’s a secret or is it more than a dumb? Do you know?
Prices are on the website
Thank you brother I love you set up with your ovens in your truck. I wish you would do more videos.
Hi, would you be able to make bread in the Arc?
Baguettes and maybe a small boule or something.
Hi Adam, do you know if the door is an available option to buy for the Arc XL
No door and I don’t think there will be as it’s a gas only oven. Doors should not be used when burning gas.
@@peddlingpizza The Ooni karu can be used with a gas-closed door!
@@ricsiii86 it needs the door cos it’s shit.
@@peddlingpizza 😅🤙
@@peddlingpizza are you saying it's better than karu 16?
Precio de un horno de esos , con envio a Argentina Santa Rosa la Pampa
If money and space didn't matter, would you still get a Dome over an Arc XL?
I would due to more flexibility to make bigger pizzas.
How wouldn't the some make bigger pizza? You can't really make a 16 inch in it.
@@user-et3kk4tn4s why can’t you?
The Dome has a much bigger stone but the Arc XL has a bigger opening. You can cook 2 smaller pizzas in the Dome. But would be able to make a 16.5” in the Arc.
@@Bigheadedwon The Arc is like the big brother of the roccbox (big mouth, front ventilation). Dome is like a traditional wood fire oven but smaller and more versatility
For pizza catering, Gozney Roccobox vs Gozney Arc? Honestly? I see many comments that Roccobox better maintains temperature after baking a larger number of pizzas in succession!
What's up with that flowering tree in the background?
Had some real warm weather?
Xl looks like it'll be hot to the touch on the left side
It flowers this time every year. No idea why or what it is. Yeah it gets hot like Dome but won’t take your skin off.
Probably a Prunus (Cherry species).
We don't get cherry blossoms here in NY until April. Gave me a nice feeling!
I would like to get the gas only dome and flue it out of my kitchen.
Gotta sell it to the Mrs.
Do you have a discount code for an arc xl
No boss
I have a dome. I've become the pizza guy in the family, debating on whether an arc is worth it, just to have in the car for friends, holidays or popping up for a side-gig.
Most definitely
Wanted a dome for 18 months but having a Kamado Joe classic & Joe jr couldn’t justify of find space , looks like the Joe jr will be waving goodbye soon
What are external dimensions?
What’s your hydration for your pizza?
61-64%
My gozney done, I can never get the bottom cooked through
Make sure you saturate the stone with heat more.
I recently saw a review on the Dome and the guy sad it took 1 hr to get to 850-900 ? This was on propane
Mine take 25 mins to hit 500c
@@peddlingpizza thanks for the info
What gas do you use Adam?
ugh. Great price, but just a bit ugly unfortunately.
Extra space lets out the heat
Since you have a pizza business, would you go back in time and still choose Roccbox over an Arc if it was available?
I’ve said this already but if Arc was about I would 100% of started with that. I honestly believe it’s the ultimate small street pizza oven.
@@peddlingpizza coming from you, that response is golden 🙌🏼. Thank you.
